I love this song since the first time i heard it on the radio BACK in 1994 or 1995. It was a Huge hit in SOME countries like Norway and Finland I believe.
ACETYGRA literally my thoughts since high school. Videos like this are why I always try to listen to music on its own before watching the videos seriously.
I remember when I was 16yo in 1996 and my brother had just gotten out of the Marines and he played this song while driving past the Census Bureau buildings on Plank Road in Jeffersonville, Indiana in a 1992 Ford Festiva. Oddly specific memory for remembering a song.
Literally my favorite song...OF ALL TIME. I used to tape the radio. This happened to be on a program called Revolution Radio, about a year before this hit regular radio rotation. Good times. 🌹🌹
I was 6 in 1990, but started the decade into pop. Got into metal and alternative music when I went to Secondary (High) school in September 1995, but much of the music I love now is stuff I have discovered in my adulthood (Djent and metal excluded). I learned of this reading the Teagan and Sara autobiography, High School, after seeing an ad for a show on Amazon's new free channel Freevee, learnt the series was based on that book after watching g the 1st few episodes. I always felt I was born on the wrong side of the channel for my likes/interests; hockey, nfl etc but that some of these bands weren't huge in the UK so escaped my notice is hard to accept. most of that is on me though, I was daunted by the selections in HMV as a kid so would stick to my familiars. I did benefit from the hockey love as the NHL sound tracks pointed me to several bands that were hard to find in British stores, collective soul, templar to name a couple. It's still pretty awesome to discover music like this as I approach midlife as it hits a nerve and resonates in a way that says this was always my scene. it's reaffirming. TLDR late to the party on this track but it has strong resonance with my personality. love it.
I can't remember when there hasn't been dust on my guitar. But I remember when JJJ played this track here in Australia in 1994, and we loved to shout the lyrics "you fuck" as we were singing along. It got rid of some of that teen angst we still had that wasn't otherwise relieved by yelling out heavy metal lyrics or other genres that were played usually in the 3 Hours Of Power time slot, when I would be listening to community radio instead.
Les Grobstein on sports radio WSCR in Chicago in the late 90's to mid 00's used to have a weekly segment called "And For That You Suck" where callers would call in and nominate sports people that sucked that week. It would open with a cut from the chorus from this song.
Wow! I was just sitting here and the lyrics randomly popped in my head so I googled them and it led me to this because my husband didn’t believe this could be a song. He says, “This song is so awful and it is hurting my head, keep the dust on your guitar.” 😂😂😂
Is this a diaper commercial? No I think it's a douche commercial. Hey Butt-Head, what is douche? I think it's that stuff chicks use when they have that "not so fresh feeling down there." I have that not so fresh feeling down there. Maybe if you wash your butt once in a while, and I don't mean your whole butt, I mean your butt hole.
high five for partial deafness! It's cool, you don't sound like a B. (I like it because I have a massive crush on leisha hailey (The one with pink hair)) Have a cool day xx
Know the difference between The Murmurs and most of the other "alaternative"y college'y vinyl pants and Manic Panic bands that were out at the same time as them? THE MURMURS ACTUALLY PLAY REALLY MAGNIFICENT MUSIC! i really wish they were still doing that.
omg they should submit this song for the lesbian national anthem. As far as the group they remind me of a cross between Cindy Loper and the Indigo Girls, get a new gig, new look, new style, new lyrics, and new sound and start over.
Fell in love with this song the first time i heard it back in high school. Loved the whole album. Glad i could see the video again today
I'm 45 years of age now, still have this CD!!! This song skips at this time, lol , soooooo thanks utube! I LOVE you gals!
One of my favorite albums ever. Still. At 54. This album is timeless!
I love this song since the first time i heard it on the radio BACK in 1994 or 1995. It was a Huge hit in SOME countries like Norway and Finland I believe.
It was a big hit in Norway, can confirm. Good times
@@glitterengen Ja den var bra, og er det fortsatt.
It was pretty big in Australia - we even got a version with extra swearing 45 second mark: "but right now there's dust on my guitar you f*ck!"
"Is this a diaper commercial?" LOL

You have really poor taste and no shame stating so in public. Yikes.
RIP Les Grobstein, Chicago sportscaster who had a segment called, "And for that you suck."
I will forever love this band.❤

still does bruh
Yes, Les still uses it for that same segment on his overnight show on The Score 670

I’m guessing your husband prefers Nickelback.
He's right
Well for that he sucks
It's been 24 year years since I've heard this song. Wow. I feel old.
."..and because of that... you suck" j/k... i feel the same :P
I still have this CD around here, somewhere. Yeah... CD. Remember those? Good times.
I almost forgot about this gem! ❤
Bless the 90's
There are days that can only be summed up by this song.
2:05 min mark - a kitten gets dropped on a cake 😀
I want to be a teenager again! This came out when I was 16 ..the 90s was the best! But getting old sucks! Viva la gen X
❤️❤️❤️
U think you're old try being a teenager in the 70s lol
You're not Gen X
She is not. @@jodymicheallee
This is the censored version, which is kinda jarring since the F-word is a major part of the lyrics.
I wondered. Thanks.
@@friendlier Yeah, that SUCKS.
F. Censorship
This is how it was played on MTV at the time
I totally forgot about this song… I only heard of this courtesy of an old Beavis & Butthead episode back in the day 😂
I just heard this song on Beavis and Butt-Head...and I had to add this to my playlists...😎😎😎😎😎
I was 2-12 through the 90s, but remember all the good music my parents would play on cassette. Such an easier time.
Best breakup song ever

I absolutely love this song, and it is a shame you can barely find the album anywhere.
It’s gotta be on eBay. I still have my cd
I haven't heard this song on the radio in decades.
This song got me through my first love, meaning the worst thing that ever happened to me
This song is amazing. Choose men that are honest is my advice regardless of their looks.
my mum and i used to listen to this song all the time
saw this in a book listing all billboard hits,I never heard it before.
This one goes out to all the guys who broke our hearts in 1994!
Or who JUST broke our hearts. It’s cool I really am getting the last laugh.
Proof that you can be both angry AND "soft".

Congrats! Serendipty meets synchronicity!
2019 still a fan
When Leisha Hailey guest-starred on "Boy Meets World", I knew she had to be a professional musician. Before that episode, I had no idea who she was.
God I wish you could re release this gorgeous song.

There. Was that so bad?
Haha the memories. My friend still strums this on her guitar.
BEST SONG EVER!!!
So nice song
I discovered this on Beavis and Butt-Head in the 90s.
They were excellent live.
Should be the anthem for what this generation is doing right now
When you recorded a song in the 90s, and you're a decade behind the 90s....
Two decades. This song is totally 1972.
I wish to dedicate this song to the entire population of Planet Earth.
It censored! :-(
Well Alice with the pink hair looking awesome. Lovr Leisha
