*VERY, Very good video, and nice style of clear presentation;* 7:20 - Prince of Orange was busy in the center as commander of Wellington's I Corps which was composed of British, Germans, and the Dutch-Belgians in the United Netherlands army 2nd Division in the corps. 8:30 - Actually, The Household Cavalry Brigade was also involved in D'Erlon's rout. Some of their squadrons came across the west side of the Brussels highway after having smashed back the French cuirassiers north of La Haye Sainte. 9:00 - Nassau is pronounced 'Nassah', but Nassauers have a bit of the 'ow' ending sound. The Nassau detachments that were sent to La Haye Sainte were from Kruse's Brigade of the Nassau Contingent - 3 Battalions, positioned in the Allied center reserve line. The Nassau battalion at Hougoumont came from Saxe Weimar's Nassau brigade stationed around Papelotte. 12:00 - The bard roof was set alight, but Baring had his defenders use the voluminous kettle pots of the Nassau reinforcements to ferry water from the courtyard pond, and douse the roof to extinguish the flames. 14:00 - The 42 number is always mentioned, but that number is actually Baring's quoted number of survivors from his own battalion he counted at the end of the battle. Many more defenders of various other reinforcement units also likely escaped as well.
i think just toward the start you said the kings german legion were part of Napoleons army. I know it was likely just that you mispoke but for anyone confused the kings german legion was most certainly part of wellingtons army. other than that, top notch video
