My name is Nick George with Clouds Diamond Sharpening. I sharpen on a diamond sharpening wheel (grandpa made the wheels shape and figured out how to use the diamond process. that's so fine at 1500 diamond grit, that polishes your blade sharp. I fix any clippers that have parts available. I can sharpen any blade or scissor that can come apart. Thanks for the video. I just picked an ag2 second hand at a thrift store and it is full of dog hair. I was able to remove most of the parts needed to get the blades moving again, but I needed a visual reference on how to fully break it down to service it.
I got lucky as they had it priced at $5 given the condition which was dirty, but good.
Looked to be a personal use/one dog clipper that was just never cleaned after use.

Hi thanks for your videos. I have a clipper that is brand new, I haven't used it except for when I first bought it but just turned it on to see how loud it was. Never used it. But today I went to plug it flipped the power switch and nothing. It didn't even turn on. Do you have any idea what could be the problem. I have andis detachable plus ag2
There could be several different reasons why your clipper will not turn on. There is likely a power issue which could be caused by a faulty switch, cord, armature, brushes, etc. Depending on when they were purchased, I would recommend returning them for either a refund or replacement. If you are passed the point of being able to return them, I would be happy to give you a free diagnosis if you would like to ship them to me.
Thanks for the videos , my AGC switch looks different the capacitor is yellow and rectangle , are all switches created equal?
Al Young hi. no problem. there are different switches. Ag 2 speed switch and one speed switch. then the old version of the switch and a newer made switched with different diodes or capacitor.
I dropped my clippers, and now every time I use it, it gets hot. Is there a part I can replace to fix that, and do you know where I can buy a reasonably priced one? Thank you!

Hi, how strong is the motor? Is it stronger than Oster 76's?
Hello. It's not as strong as an Oster 76 but it is faster and plenty powerful enough the run any blade successfully. Most Barbers by 76ers because they are slower and the blade won't get his hot from the friction. And it is cheaper to repair then Andis clipper
@@cloudsdiamondsharpening3973 so this can be used on human hair? Do you know Oster76's strokes per min? Also, you mentioned in another video the AG2's motor is similar/same to the AGC2 motor. Is that correct? AG2 has two versions: old and new. Do you know the differences? Love your channel. Thanks
Where do you get the stick to clean the armiture? Can you use a wire wheel on the bench grinder for that or no?

Wire will no, do not do that. it will damage it. You can use a polishing will but if you damage it, not my fault.
How about a Hone Stick? lol... I have one that needs cleaned tomorrow. Any other suggestion till I can find a diamond stick?

Would I be able to put a 2-speed switch on one of the older ones that came with a 1-speed switch?
+ronald williams Yes you can but it will not make it faster. The switch actuator will need to be changed to fit a 2 speed switch. If you want it faster the field will need to be a super 2 speed field with bigger magnets or stronger magnets.
Thank you for the info. I've had mine for 12 years. The blade started to jump off every time I used them. I just thought that it was time to get ride of them until I saw your videos.
