You were the first fishing guy I ever watched and after watching you and how you do things, I can't hardly watch others because it is gross to see the bloody meat that they are going to eat after yours is so pretty lol. Don't get me wrong I can handle the realness of it all, and you shouldn't worry with what you do after watching them show the full cleaning and what it had eaten and everything, but you are so fun and I just love your excitement, it makes me smile every single time. Great video. I work on oil rigs now 18yrs and I’ve caught some legit monsters. The oil rig I’m on is loaded with snapper, Spanish mackerel, cobia & occasional grouper.

I remember fishing out of Sabine Pass on a 20' pontoon boat decades ago. We were near a caisson lighthouse and I asked the guy driving the boat what light that was. HIs response was "that's Sabine Bank light, it's 26 miles off the Pass". I had no idea I was out in the Gulf 26 miles on a 20' pontoon boat....
We caught a bunch of Crevalle Jacks and snappers, but the highlight was a 10' Mako on a dead mullet.
Good fishing. Targeting eatable fish is our goal.

That was a great shark catch! Unlike many shark fishing videos with tons of angles and fake looking shots...this looked so real! It was like any of us could go out there and try the same thing and it look similar!

I tie a Snell Knot on my hook so the knot is protected, not a huge fan of adding beads unless it’s a clear bead because of small mackerel that’ll hit it and cut you off on the way down

How do you prep your mackerel to cook, marinade, batter…?
We have been trying something lately to fire up the bottom bite.
Mix up half heavy red clay with half cheap fish cat food, use a cut-off milk jug for a mold and when you get offshore remove from the jug and drop over the side. The entire idea Is to make a chum spread on the bottom, it has worked but it's not perfect. If anyone has a better idea please sound off.

Live bait status changes daily with the weather and anything to do with mother nature is always unsure. Hooked up bait and tackle has guys that go out everyday but shrimping is like fishing. You don’t always catch em haha

I've been 15 miles in my boat, but I try to stay within 9 miles or so and am very careful and mindful of the weather and tides.
Grew up all over these waters… get a commercial fishing license sell snapper 3 times a month pay for your gas and you get to tell anyone checking you to check their own coolers you got papers for there bull shit and you will come up in the end you fish enough

Audio was very high in volume. I normally watch around an index of 34 and yours was too loud even at 25.
