I remember my first time playing WoW. A level 70 dk friend of mine escorted myself and some other friends (we were on trial accounts) from Azuremyst to Outlands. We adventured for hours. It was unreal.
@@delf2731 - Not sure if it has changed since then but back in Cata you could go out there at any level, although you would be in a world of hurt facing basically any NPC. My dk friend was quick on the draw and kept us safe as best he could but our group made several corpse runs
@@Orphan_of_Kos_or_some_say_Kosm Ehh kinda, I don't think there's an exact "back/front" music. I think it falls somewhere in the middle. It does do a good job as ambient music. It isn't distracting, and it helps amplify the feel of the zone. I think it does a fine job.
Elwynn Forest... feels like home. Everytime i hear the theme i remember my first character back in vanilla. Talking to strangers trading linen cloth and some few silver for 8 slot bags. A fresh community was growing, friends were found and later they became guildmembers. Those were the days. *sniff*
This is how wow classic is now....i promise. I was impressed to tears that it was the same as 15 yrs ago. Strangers buffing, trading linen cloth, having drinks in goldshire, questing and fishing together.
That small nucleus of Elwynn Forest, Westfall, Redridge, and Duskwood is the best levelling experience in the game, and the music matches it beautifully.
i remember waking up earlier every day before school to level up my mage while on trial account!the weather was cold hence the room as well!I remember the white dull winter light coming in from my window as i was playing on my laptop!such good memories! :')
A beautiful crescendo of happiness, yet only found and fathomed after great and deep sorrow. This song is nature, in its purest and most bewitching form. This is more than just a soundtrack to a game. It's an orchestral masterpiece which will always hold a place in my heart.
I love this remake, they stayed true to the original while adding new, more emotional parts to it. It makes you nostalgic even though this version of the song only came in Cataclysm.
Makes me think of the fall/decline of humanity. Most of Stormwind wiped out, most of Lordaeron wiped out, Alterac fell into ruin, Stromgarde fell into ruin, Dalaran wiped out, but rebuilt to leave the Alliance, most remaining human settlements in Lordaeron wiped out in Cataclysm, Gilneas has all but fallen in Cataclysm, Theramore and remaining human settlements on Kalimdor wiped out in Mists. Stormwind is all that stands and the kingdom can barely even hold itself together.
There's so much depth in this song. It contrasts the conflict between the rugged nature of elwynn forest, the wild life, the natural inhabitants (like the kobolds) and whatnot, versus the human civilization that has settled there. When you hear the flute, you imagine the nature and mystery, and when you hear the more orchestral part come in, you think of human expansion and kings and queens. These two forces are constantly at war in elwynn and this piece captured it perfectly.
No matter how much time passes, I still happen to find myself listening to WoW music such as this and sit back and think of the good times I've had throughout the many years of playing this game. The music, however, will always manage to touch my heart in a way no other music can.
I always thought of this soundtrack as the most peaceful in the game and it was the first time I stepped into such a breathtaking forest for the first time since the farron woods back in Zelda!
I cant play this game anymore but I did put a good 6 years into it. The music is the only thing I can enjoy now. They actually did a really good job on it.
This soundtrack gives me the unshakeable feeling that everything is slowly falling apart and there's nothing I can do to stop it, no matter how many times I listen to it. The climax of this soundtrack was probably defined by the Defias Brotherhood's ultimate success in razing the recently bolstered haven of Sentinel Hill.
The first time in WoW played as a human. Heard this music and the fantasy aspect of the game hooked me. definitely one of my favorite themes in the game as well as zone. Love flying back to northshire and standing under the lamp post.
I started playing WoW again a few days ago, rolled a warlock worgen, and started questing. Got tired of Darkshore, and ventured to Stormwind. Then, I set foot in Elwynn Forest, and notice the new music in the background. And I have to say, of what I have heard so far, it is my absolute favorite track in the entire game.
I can't help but feel nostalgic, and during the Twilight Highlands introductory quests in Stormwind when we're helping the Prince this just feels so good alongside the new Stormwind songs.
+Andrevus Whitetail Wow...i can hardly believe i wrote this almost a year ago and my feelings haven't changed one bit.Nothing like walking around Elwynn Forest on a level 20 twink, collecting herbs around midnight to this sad, yet beautiful music.
Same here. :) It gives me chills, and makes me smile at the same time. I remember when i ran around trying to quest when i was 12, memories. im 19 years old now, and really, i just want to cry when i hear this music, and wow has changed so damn much. ^^
I'm a horde and don't like Ally very much, but one day me and Guilde's came to Elywnn Forest to raid stormwind City and i came across this beloved music! All i could say it made me like the ally alot better. Now i got Elywnn Forest Everyday to listen to this majestic song!
This song, it brings back memories. I used to have a really close friend, but he was an 85, so he was always doing bgs, and I would sit and wait for him in Goldshire. A night elf druid I was, and I used to sit with me campfire, talking to the "regulars" at Goldshire. So many friends and fun on such a breath taking game. I miss it so much.
i always enjoyed lvling instead of staying at max and humans were my fav. characters to play with. God this song is like my soul. i can't believe it has been years since i last listened to this.

Every time I listen to the song, I cried. Feels like... someone is talking to you, tells you that you're not alone, we're here for you. Feels like... the song understands your pain, tells you to be strong, tells you to be better, and don't cry! Everything will be fine... To someone like me, I don't really have anyone to talk to. Even to my family, I couldn't open my mouth and ask them to give me a hug, ask them to talk to me. Even if they do, I feel nothing at all. I don't really have a close friend. The only one who cares about me is my girl friend, but we can only be together for about 1 hour per day. Maybe I'm asking too much, but most of the time, I'm alone, and I do everything alone. Because of it, I feel... weak. I'm just a normal person, not a hero in movies who can do everything them self. No one wants to listen to me, I always get interrupted when I'm saying something. Even with my family, they don't seem to care too much about what I say. I always need to work so hard for someone to finally notice me. I'm kinda tired of this. The song, for some reason, gave me a lot of strength to keep going. I always listen to this song when I'm deeply depressed, I'll cry, and then I'll be fine, and then continue forward. For someone reading this, hope you have a nice day, and hope this song can soothe your pain as it is to me.
When i hear this piece, i cry aswell. It reminds me of playing with my brother, who sadly took his life 2 years ago. He was super excited for WoW Classic, like really excited, then one day he's just gone. It's amazing how music can make you feel, you can really hear the emotion in this piece.
I think this same soundtrack played in Redridge at night. (Am I right?) I remember making a camp fire and looking out across the lake, the sound of a wolf howling faintly in the background. It was so quiet, so peaceful, so lonely. Beautiful. I was too new to know about tier gear, raids, or loot options. I had not become disenchanted yet. I only knew that I loved the game. And somehow, for 9 minutes, this song transports me back there again . . .
I am soo relieved they didn't change the soundtrack for Elwynn Forest too much from the Original because it was my favourite piece of music in WoW. Stunning!
