Good to see Marine Setups coming in without skimmers/sumps/refugiums/reactors/dosing pumps etc etc., We should probably understand the intended purpose/ need of the equipments before making it compulsory for the setup. They are not required if the fishes are healthy and eating properly. The crux of marine setup is keep it simple, patience and maturity i.e., older the better. I have marine setups which are more than 3 years old (with basic filtration) with clowns, damsels, dotty backs/basslets and trevallys. I even have coralline algae growth which is good..

There are few things to know before getting into marine setup not sure if they have informed about it. I may even miss many but basics are
1. Do not introduce fish without cycling the tank.
2. Patience is important. Do not impulse buy.
3. Make sure you don't overstock the tank.
4. Routine maintenance like water change, filter cleaning is very important incase of tank without skimmer.
5. Don't get into anemones without doing adequate research as they have the capacity to crash the tank if they die. They need a mature setup to survive.
6. Maintain stable temperature and salinity.
7. During summer the water evaporation will be more get a diy ato system...it will take less than 1k to get the necessary things and assemble and it's very useful.
The water temp will go down every now and then during monsoon and occasional showers so a heater all around the year is mandatory.
8. Get 2-3 types of food for the fish.
9. These fishes will surely try to jump out get a lid.
10. Invest in a good marine light, you will not regret.

Nope... they are professionals. Have u visited vgp marine kingdom? They used alrdy treated and conditioned sea water. So it reduces the effort of cycling the tank.

For people who say without skimmer this tank won't substaine. just before you speak know the basic working principle of the skimmer for what it is used for.
Skimmer used to remove DOC from the tank. But in this tank the bio load is very Low so the filter sponge is going to take care of the skimmer work if he cleans the filter socks 3days once then there won't be any no3 or no2 or PO4 in the tank the fish will sustain in this set up
I can't see any proper source of aeration in this video. Do you believe, a marine set up without skimmer will be a user friendly model

Bro skimmer small skimmer vekka unga tank la space iruku so use pannunga ilana weekly once water change pannanum....and water change panna salinity check pannanum..nano tank la heavy ah water parameters change aagum... anemone dead aachuna full setup ae u shd demolish...so b careful and those clowns are very beautiful ♥️ all the best bro♥️♥️
