- A Very Windy Walk to Chiringuito Beach Club La Isla, Caleta de Fuste
We decided to take a walk to Chiringuito Beach Club La Isla, a bar and restaurant that sits in on an island just off the La Guirra beach at Caleta de Fuste. In typical Out and About with Andy fashion we'd picked the windiest day of the week so I will apologise now for the issues with the audio.

Thanks, Yasmin. I picked the worst day for it. We have rarely seen the sea as rough. The next day was much less windy but I didn't fancy filming it all over again! The beaches are great, BUT we're off to Jandia in the south in March, and the beaches there are amazing. Thanks for watching twice 😉.

Hi Andy lovely promenade stroll, watch out for the scooters though 😳 the chipmunks/squirrels are cute! The Sheraton looks lavish but will hopefully be in your future! That jetty/pier was gorgeous with the sea lapping either side! And ending on food and drink! Have a good week 👍
Cheers, Nick and Jill. Typically, I picked the windiest day to film that on! The Sheraton does look good as do the two Barcelo hotels in the resort. It may be a while before we return to this resort as this was my 4th visit, and there is much more on the island to see. Join me at 7.30 on Friday for a review of our accommodation - it wasn't quite up to the standard of the Sheraton 😀
Hiya Andy, i think even it was quite windy, the beach views itself really does make up for it! That was amazing that you managed to feed and get super up close to those squirrels, hehe, they were cute. Loved listening to those sea crashes, such a relaxing sound. Another excellent video! 😎😎
Thanks Alessa, beaches are great at Caleta de Fuste. The squirrels are pretty tame. There would have been more, but there was another couple feeding them at the same time. The beach bar is a great place to visit. When we were there previously, there was a flock of spoonbills on the rocks next to the island. This time, it was just the local doves and turnstones. It was a great break just before Christmas, Don, but sadly, we're back in cold and damp Britain now. Luckily, I shot plenty of videos whilst I was out there. Thanks for watching 🙂
Hey Andy, thanks for doing this reminded us when we went. The ground squirrels are something else. We saw them when we went to. Especially when we went down the island to the Winterhouse.
We didn't stay in CDF we stayed in the village next to it so we walked along the beach to CDF was a lovely walk. Thanks for sharing ❤
Was it Costa de Antigua where you stayed? As for the squirrels, it's hard to believe one pair was brought to the island in the early 70s, and now they live pretty much everywhere.
