IJA Aircraft Carrier Akitsu Maru あきつ丸 1/700 Aoshima

Akitsu Maru served as an assault landing ship converted from a passenger liner for the Imperial Japanese Army. She was completed at the end of January 1942 and participated in the invasion of Java the following month. Akitsu Maru eventually sank after being torpedoed by USS Queenfish on 14 November 1944 while en route to deliver reinforcements to The Philippines.
