Man, I fucking love Deicide. Been a fan since the early 90's. Deicide is in my top 10 list of favorite death metal bands ever, more like my top 5 actually. Hope they don't stop until we're all in nursing homes! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Defindefinitely!!!! He held the band together in tough times (even more than Glen Benton) and without him as drummer and driving force, they maybe wouldn't exist anymore.
I got to meet Steve and Glenn a few years back and they were super cool dudes. They basically just kicked it with us for an hour before the show. Damn it was cool.
I keep coming back to this interview lol. So, without reading all 100+ comments to find the answer...does anyone know which song Steve is referring to when he says that it sounds reminiscent to Judas Priest?
1st time i heard Deicide was back in 1995 when once upon the cross was new,saw it in a record store and it had a sticker over the cover art that said it was censored and i thought this must be great shit if i can't even see the cover art so i bought it (on cassette and got it again on cd a few years later)and loved it and to this day its 1 of my favorite metal albums and i have been a fan of Deicide ever since.
My opinion, not possible. Deicide as made great albums since the Hoffmans left. Their latest, Overtures of Blasphemy may be their best album since the self titled debut and Legion. Stench of Redemption, the first post Hoffman album is a classic too.
Well that's funny. Met Glen at Deicide show in 2014 and he was a complete opposite. Guess he's a bit mixed kinda guy as I can see in interviews, maybe next time.
i sense jack and steve didnt get along, he said he didnt nail the parts live, didnt they tour alot for 3 albums??? seems like hed have to nail most of his parts to do that
Kind of wish Deicide would keep updating their facebook page when (obviously Glen) kept shitposting about shitty bands and eventually video where he mauled some kid harassing him with gopro camera backstage. now it is just blank with 800k followers. lol

This guy is basically Deicide, given that he writes all their songs.
SURE DOES-
And Glen writes all the lyrics
pro tip : watch movies on flixzone. I've been using it for watching lots of of movies these days.
@Rhett Kellen yea, have been using flixzone} for since november myself :D
jack wrote more than half of Stench of Redemption - their best album in my book
Steve has always been one of the cooler, no non-sense, straightforward members of the band. One of his respectable traits.
Nice interview, Steve is definitely the driving force in Deicide. Looking forward to that new record. \m/

this guy is always so cool and mellow...this is why I love Death Metal!!! \\m//
He's always SO nice to everyone. Good guy!
I sat and watched this guy at Monterey metal fest back in 06...I was 3 ft behind him...what a machine!!
Steve seems like a cool fucking dude. Very down to earth.
He is. It always amazed me of how much he can be a psycho on his drums and a loose cool around guy in interviews
He was stopped by the police, he had both weed and guns in his car, but he was so chill the policeman let him go lol

great interview!!

Steve has always been one of my favourites in the death metal scene along with the guys in Cannibal Corpse and Suffocation etc. Legend

Great interview!!!

Mark English is from Monstosity.
Steve is awesome. He took pics with fans after a show.
He took one with me even after it was time to go .i was like Bad ass of him stopping for it
Steve is a guy you can have a few drinks with. Hail Deicide!!
Lx Beltran but having had a drink with him & rob from corpse after the kreator show in Tampa...... don’t try & outdrink him haha
This guy is a Beast on the drums... 🤘🇬🇧
Deicide is a brutal band but when you watch the interviews is another story, Steve and Glenn are the most "down to earth" men you will ever meet
Awesome, guys. Great interview. Long Live Deicide.
Thank you :) Do subscribe to our channel.
i think if people started re writing all my riffs id be pissed and leave the band too
Steve is just a cool ass dude
good to see you guys still keepin it pushin. SA very cool down to earth guy in person too Good luck to Deicide with their new release
I really would like to see a reunion of original Deicide
Mark Lawless never gonna happen. Glen hates the Hoffmans.
Glen's a homosexual. It won't happen.
@@AliJr_MetalGames_MetalGuitar it's not only Glen who hates them so does Steve ever since they talked shit about him when his father died

Met Steve at Station 58 about 5-6 years ago in Mattydale Ny..... Great dude
Do you need rage and anger to play DEATH METAL? "Doesn't hurt"
I can listen to this man talk for hours. Very down to earth... smart ..funny guy!!
Steve is a cool dude chill laid back honest gets straight to the point
Steve Asheim kind of resembles the look of the new guitarist, Mark English. Good interview and the best of luck to Deicide!

Is the Priest-like song Crawled from the Shadows?
i met glen benton at harpos that night . detroit michigan !!!!
such a down to earth dude!
Well that's funny. Met Glen at Deicide show in 2014 and he was a complete opposite. Guess he's a bit mixed kinda guy as I can see in interviews, maybe next time.
This dudes been around & mellowed with age , don’t sweat the small stuff 👍
What's the song playing at 3:00?
Meilleur batteurs du monde pour moi 🤘🇫🇷🍻
When's the new album Steve, come on
ha, this is at harpos in detroit i think.
awesome dude
The master 🤘🤘🤘🤘 recruit me for guitar...I know most of your catalog
The white Snoop Dogg
I hope one day they will meet
Except Steve actually has talent
Jack Owen is with six feet under now. a great reuniting
David McGuire hell yeah
Dope. I saw him with CC live then months later i went to a Deicide show and Jack was with them i was like WTF?
Cannibal incarnation with Jack and Chris would be interesting. Certainly better than Six Feet Under.
Not really since six feet under sucks
It is good to see Jack and Chris playing again. Imagine a tour with SFU, CC and Deicide? The pit would be insane.
steve is legend ! the interviewer is an amatour
I dunno why…but Steve kinda reminds me of a more coherent young Dino “the naked drummer” Sachs. Like…from the Hated era! Def not now! 😂
Hell yea! The Pittsburgh show was amazing!
i sense jack and steve didnt get along, he said he didnt nail the parts live, didnt they tour alot for 3 albums??? seems like hed have to nail most of his parts to do that
4th tour of one record?? Wow, hard working band
Priest style Deicide sounds awesome to me, Glen did have a Venom/Chronos vocal style when they were barely Amon.🤘
I would like to see hate eternal . Deicide. Vital remains. Behemoth .origin and unmerciful. Live that would be a sick line up
Goddamn, I'd pay 100 bucks to see that lineup!!
Nuff said
Steve.......at my old Home---Harpos-
Cool guy and amazing drummer
Harpos! Watched alot of bands perform there including deicide wayback in 2000.
No one had the good sense to maybe conduct the interview somewhere a sound check wasn't going to occur.
2021.
Steak and Eggs for the Fast Legs!
Steak and eggs for the fast legs
Justin Long heh
Steve rules!!
these guys just need to put all their macho shit aside and sit down with the Hoffman brothers and have some pizza and beer
@the16th6toothson ---Brain Designs Guitars and they are Sick!!!!
Nah theyre good without them but they definitely need some top notch death metal guitarist on the level of Ralph Santolla and Jack Owen
Deicide
Lol jack never nailed it and never tried hahaha so true.
Mando batero ke entrevistas
Steve, get the brothers back. You can be a LEGION again!
Kind of wish Deicide would keep updating their facebook page when (obviously Glen) kept shitposting about shitty bands and eventually video where he mauled some kid harassing him with gopro camera backstage. now it is just blank with 800k followers. lol
Привет из России🤘🎸🌹
Harpos!! Can't imagine bands really want to play there. That neighborhood is HAAARRRDDDDD!
my man said Myspace, oof
Well you say "oof" so we know everything we need to already...
@@THRASHMETALFUNRIFFS Not at all. I love Deicide and even had a Myspace myself which is why I understand how dated the comment was
The latest album was to weak and generic, hope to see new ideas and bring some old riffs, I know this is impossible, but who knows!
I get this vibe since Scars.
Chakallllllllll
