PWNISHER 3D COMMUNITY CHALLENGE | Kinetic Rush | The other side

First time trying my hands on Clint's 3d Challenge. I had a mixture of Last of us, train to busan, world war z. This took me about a 2-3 weeks to complete and everything was done in Unreal Engine with post processing done in Davinci. #kineticrush #3dchallenge #pwnisher #breakdown

Hey everyone, thanks for the massive love on the video and my submission. I know most of you are mentioning the camera being a problem….i had the conversation with a lot of people on the discord as well and most people didn’t find it to be a problem but it was still a risk I was willing to take. If this gets disqualified because of the camera motion, it was still a fun experience nonetheless. For the length and the 126 frames problem….on TH-cam the video is longer because it has an extended dramatic slow motion. It is not the version I submitted….the submitted version is exactly 126 frames, I appreciate y’all looking out but that is not a problem 😅

The camera work might be a little too intense for the judges, but this is only a guess. Since this animation is absolutely stunning and the camera motion fitting into the whole concept, I guess they should be fine with it.
This has easily the guts to make top 100. Who knows, maybe even top 5.

And what makes you think that? Moving the camera is no issue, because there have been several lifestreams by now, where WIP's of people got analyzed, and often camera motion was added. You are allowed to change everything, as long as it fits within the run cycle and the camera starting and ending at the correct position. What he has done here is quite intense camera motion, but certainly not "illegal". If you got haywire with the camera, it may be too much for the taste of the judges. But it does not disqualify you.

@@marcfuchs6938 bro read the rules again. You can add motion blur, Depth of field, and camera shake. Changing the focal length or moving it or rotating is not allowed. that's why the loc rot keyframes were locked in the template. you still have 1 day left, please check the rules.

@@NarekManukyan I have read the rules, and I don't need to care for myself, I haven't done anything to the camera in my animation. But you know, the rules were made by Clint. And Clint made those livestreams, reviewing those WIPs, which had additional motion in the camera. And he's got no issues with that. The rules should prevent people from going too crazy with the camera and if they do, this will prevent them from going top 100. But generally, changing the camera is not prohibited, as long as start and end are original, so that all renders flow into each other.
You will see, a lot of the renders in top 100 have camera motion.

I like that zoom before she makes the jump when you showed test 2 and I noticed you took that out in the final, is that because of the requirements for the kinetic rush challenge, or just preference. anyway my jaw dropped when you first showed test 2, both are so good.

Yeah I had that initially before the second livestream of Clint when he spoke about the camera restrictions. I didn’t want to do too much after that so I had to sacrifice that :(

presumably the characters from Daz are already rigged, or does UE auto-rig the bones? nice work thanks for sharing

Nope, they are rigged with the genesis skeleton, I had to retarget them using a retargeter in unreal but some key bones are missing so I had to create those ones in unreal.
