Seeing all the terrible and down right disgusting things Doflamingo did to people and the king especially is what you call an ACTUAL villain, and that’s why he’s such a great character.

Best villain in OP IMHO. He may not be the best in terms of strength, but he's got this inherent madness and ruthlessness, which gives him a unique presence in OP. Just like DC's Joker

Luffy got a lot smarter and more mature due to the hell he went through after being separated from his crew plus the tragic loss of his brother, all of that made him a better captain and leader.

His arm would already be covered in busoshoku haki. I don't think the metal would add very much. Though Kid could probably imbue the metal with busoshoku haki the same way people do with weapons

Honestly, I agree with Law here, Luffy screwed up big time here, considering how this battle developed this combat trick could have been used at a MUCH better moment, what would've happened If he used it while being in 4th gear mode? The fight could have ended much earlier!
@arikadoriyama4724 The one thing that subverts this issue and these expectations is actually Law's incredibly fast thinking by telling Luffy off in front of Doflamingo right after; saying that they'll never be able to use this strategy again. Because realistically Mingo would always be watching for them to attempt this again otherwise. By aknowleding this, it sort of takes away some of the constant "are they going to do it again?" anticipation. Which is why they actually *are* able to pull it off a second time later on; in reversed order and with some additional set up from Law when he fakes his death. They took a "We wasted our best chance" scenario and were able to make it work again a second time and almost succeeded.
As soon as Doflaming heard that "Room!" he knew something was up

God I miss doflamingo watching him fight made me think he was above most of the warlords him and Hawkeye were probably the strongest.
Doflamingo, Hawkeye, and Hancock were the only people in The Paramount War to leave untouched.

Fratele Rece to be fair, they are pirates. The natural enemies of the marines. Hancock said it herself that she was only there for her people (and Luffy). She wasn’t on either side. Hawkeye was just bored and Doflamingo just likes chaos. Even Moria was only there because he thought it’d be funny if Whitebeared died.
The whole Shichibukai system is pretty twisted.

@@fratelerece1237 Hopefully Fujitora can abolish the Warlords System. Thankfully there's no Yonko Alliance that they have to worry about or anything crazy like that, so abolishing the system probably won't have a big affect on the world's balance.

This fight would have been over so fast if Luffy used Gear 4 from the beginning and used this strategy
Now he casually goes into Gear 4 just for the sole purpose of dramatically beating fodder.
