I really feel like we need some updated versions of the God cards, like maybe something called True Obelisk the Tormentor. "Cannot be normal summoned or set. Can only be special summoned by Tributing one 'Obelisk the Tormentor' on your side of the field. This card while face up on the field cannot be targeted or removed by card effects. Sacrifice two monsters on your side of the field to either deal 4000 effect damage to your opponent or add the combined ATK points of the monsters to True Obelisk the Tormentor"
That is a horrible updated card because it will never be used if you have to tribute the original obelisk which is already hard enough to get out. Also i believe a better name would be God of War Obelisk since in the jp version they actually say that phrase for obelisk. Heres an effect i thought of a while ago that makes them strong but not overpowered. "Requires 3 tributes summons to be normal summoned or set. This cards name is always Obelisk the Tormentor. Its effects are really strong but you need 3 monsters to bring it out and cant really use its effects unless you have atleast 4 monsterd beforr you summon it. It summons a token at end of the turns so you can use it on your opponents turn for disruption.
@@kookou13 Way too broken. The only way to remove it is by battle. I'd only accept this if the tribute was mandatory so it would eventually destroy itself. It's really easy to get three tributes these days.
@@TheThebigice getting 3 tributes and searching out obelisk to have in hand without using your normal summon is actuslly pretty hard since only cards that search obelisks are usually in divine decks.. Also non targeting banishes or return into deck/hand gets rid of obelisk. The other guy has even more protection(cant be removed from the field by card effects) Also this version of obelisk needs to wait 1 turn before activating its effect or else its just a big beatstick if you can only get it out with 3 tributes. Its basically master peace but way harder to get into. Also the tributr isnt manditory but if you SS it then it getd removed at end of turn anyways. You also cant chalice itself to stay on the field since its effects cant be negated
I had like 4 duels back to the other day when I literally got the perfect hand for Dark Magician decks. Magician's Salvation, Magician's Souls, Terraforming/Secret Village, and Soul Servant. Full combo if they don't have hand traps. It was insane lol
I don't know what you're talking about, I used Destiny Draw all the time in Master Duel. It's called activating Draw of Fate when you have two Exodia pieces in hand and a Draw 2 like CardCar Deez Nuts. That card saved many a game before the tiers became a clusterfuck of overpowered bullshit.

He can still activate it at the Main Phase to Rank Up the 97 to VFD and has a Spell Negate to deal with Soul Crossing.

Sometimes you know you can't win, and just don't feel like wasting time watching the opponent play solitare for another 15 minutes just to REALLY make sure you can't win. This isn't one of those situations. All he had to do was use Eternal Soul to get back Dark Magician, and that'd be game.
I always wait so I can get that battle pass exp, but I hate when the opponent has lethal, I have no cards on the field or in my hand and they still spend another 5 minutes doing combos for no reason
100% scoop when their meta deck looses to your non-meta deck. Also don't mind players that scoops with Numeron or Timelords, they are not humans after all.

Konami should make Obelisk the progenitor an actual card.
