I love team games, also a quick tip: 35:57 Try not to build mills or plantations between trees, the trees will take up the space and your settlers will stay idle ;)

A little bit of a late comment, but from an ex AOE3 player to any of those willing to listen. Don't throw all of your troops into one corner! The way he did it was creating a bottleneck and he was wiped out. Its good to throw some weaker troops (light cavalry/skirmishing infantry) in the front near the bottleneck and get your good troops (Musketeers/organ guns etc) into a flanking position and take out their bases/get behind the line of fire. If you try to funnel your troops through a bottleneck like he did (and it fails) DON'T continue to throw your troops away! Pull back (leaving some behind as diversion) and try a different angle with heavy infantry formations. Sorry for the long comment, just wanted to give some advice.

There was a while when your villie count was frozen at 30, and then their team got to age 5 sooner than yours. I think you should have been more consistent in making villies and you could have gotten 99 before any of them got to age 5, and then maybe you would have won.

I've been playing for about 6 months now with French. Trying to move onto a new civ becasue they're a bit cheesy tbh. Any advice ? And links to build orders for new civs would be great- I'm playing vanilla

Usually rush but they are great for an nr45
I like to play nr45 mostly
And it's hard to find a good build order for a new civ and deck
I really advise you to try others out, yes France can be very cheesy, especially if you get to late game (like in treaty) and spam gendarmes. The easy wins also leave you stagnated and unable to improve your game.
I'd try out Brits (balanced and overall good for anything), Ports (balanced and mostly defense/sea focused) or Germans (balanced, good for either rushes or booms, but are a little hard to use and have a steep learning curve). @@trakan7971 yeah. There is a way you need to go into your files and delete your CD key. I had to do it previously. Once you delete that file, it should work. I'd look up how to on the internet.

One question: Why did you build your colonial town center in the forward base?
To move it out of my base in case I got rushed. (Exactly what happened) Also, I could ship troops there and use the minute men if needed.
yeah, but won't it be better if u take it back of some others TC like u did for 3rd or 4th age TC, because if they try to attack ur fb ur villagers will be attacked no?
