Finaly BN E8/9 long wait is over
fun fact 9913 is in florida in og cb&q colors at the gold coast railroad museum
Hope the other BN exec units release somewhere down the line too! Got the BN-3 on pre order
We never had HEP in our E8/E9’s that we inherited at Amtrak at Rensselaer in the late 70’s but some of them had Mars lights. We had baggage cars with HEP to use as we transitioned to HEP. The first FL-9 MK rebuild we got still had a steam gen. Later concerted to HEP by the New Haven shops.
Awesome looking BNs and metra cars. I love the prototype overlays. Thanks for the post.
Hey Rapido TRAINS, how about doing a video on your Chicago Metra
Bi-levels
Ask and ye shall receive!
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it!
when will you guys show the cab car lighting features
Nice video!
That's a nice model.
👍
I always enjoy your videos👍🙂
My body is ready
I might have to get a BN one to re-decal it into MARC colors
We'd love to see that!
Any plans on the Conrail blue executive units or both passenger trains , blue and Pullman green ?
Great. Now I need a Chi-town deep-dish pizza. I'm 1000 miles away! 😕
You gonna get Chicago pizzas on the Internet and have it shipped to you Gino is one and there’s many others
Most of our team is also too far away to enjoy a good deep dish pizza. 😩
The grab irons look very chunky! But I appreciate you will no doubt fix this. I'm pleased to see you have modelled the side vents / louvers. I trust you wil notice if they are configured diffently on each side of the locomotive hood on the IC E9s if that is the case. Looking forward to seeing the pre-production sameples of the IC units.
EMD E & F units.
Alco PA/PB & FA/FB.
They are all Great.
the Beautiful Marc 91!
Hey rapido, when are you going to do the cta 3200 series cars
And 6300 series too!
Very nicely done, up to Jeremy's standards. Now do one in IPH and I'm in.
Will the sound file include the HEP generator?
Can you guys do NJ Transit/NJDOT E8s?
the conrail units need matching cars!
Might grab the Metro North. I only display them, so would really prefer a dummy.
Dummies would be fantastic. I don't have the room to run them but I have enough space to display. Dummies with lighting system would be nice.
lake shore model railroad association I believe the voice is Jeff
Anyone else want to see these in N scale?
Very much! Would be an awesome compliment to the Kato stuff!
N scale could really use these! I’d love to see these, the Budd gallery cars, and the F40PHMs in N! The new look bus in CTA would be nice too. It’s a lot to ask for, but they would really fill in all the Metra trains full of Kato cars. The variety would be very welcome!
N-scale versions of the early commuter coaches would be good.
Any plans for these in N scale? Looks like you guys are making the BN commuter car set in N scale but no E9 in N scale? If I got confirmation of a N scale BN E9 I would go ahead and order the commuter cars now.
At the moment we don't have plans for an N scale E-unit, but anything is possible!
Great new additions to the lineup. But what is the voice saying at the end of the video? I can never understand it.
Lunatics! Michael Gross
"You lunatics!"
Many thanks.👍
What? Still no KCS white E-units #23 & #27?😢
YOU'RE LISTENING TO 102.7 THE DEEP DISH
I’ll take two BN commuter engines and three con rail engines and wash it down with a pair Amtrak E units.
Same except instead of Amtrak I'd take the IC executives

I forgot about the Illinois Central. I’ll take a pair of those two another favorite RAILROAD paints scheme.
Great video and a model that many people have been wanting. Just a bit of clarity, it would not be pronounced 'HEP Power'. Since HEP, is Head End Power. So Head End Power Power is not correct. Much like 'NIC Card', Network Interface Card Card, or SSD drive, which would be, Solid State Drive drive. I know, English is a weird language and acronyms make it worse.
Technically the BNs were also E7s...
Problem....The nose grabs are too bulky, please use wire grabs. No.2 The cars need to be chrome plated...not silver paint.
Chrome wouldn’t look right. The cars are stainless steel, so somewhat darker and much less reflective than chrome. The right silver paint will do the job nicely.
Got my order in. What if the BN had a Kansas City based Metra system running from Union Station to St. Joe??!!
