What the others are failing to understand is that Shaan Sir isn't pointing out the lyrics forgetting part in particular. He was merely highlighting that it had to be a duet performance, but ended up with the guy singing most of the song, rendering that girl to almost being backing vocals. In the end the performance was great and that dude's presence of mind was good, but the whole essence of it being a duet was lost. It shows Shaan Sir's vast knowledge not just in music, but all about performance, stage presence and audience interaction.....mad respect to him

Their points were also valid. When they are singing duet it's kind of a team work. So I feel it's very well carried out by Rahul. Noone would have predicted Ayushmann (host) would become so big in the future. Also, Bigger surprise was in the first episode of this show when after final round, Shaan strikers had won against Himesh’s team based on points but somehow Himesh’s team was declared the winner.
I haven't expected a great singer like "Shreya Ghosal" defending that.. Shaan Sir is very much justified.. Shaan has a very valid point. I've seen very good singers being sent home in song competitions when they forgot the words. Although Shaan's way of putting his point across is wrong but Mika really pushed him further. The matter was being settled when he chose to start the fight all over again.

I am amazed to see Shankar ji and Shreya ji talking like this in a competition where u should have to be perfect there are no marks for handwriting in a competitive examination, it's not a live show where the singer is tired and forgot the lines, they have to be fully prepared when they are competing against others. Giving them points for presence of mind like this is unfair by the side of other contestants.
