Drill a hole in the center of your board, then affix an indexing bolt to bandsaw table, rotate board on index bolt for a cleaner cut than trying to cut radius solely by hand. Edit: 9:54 , still talking about the stool?
Lisa O sure, that could work, same issue as the band saw except you are turning the tool instead of the wood. Still work better with an indexing jig that gives it a fixed position to centerline.

Holy crap! What is with the long hair that isn't tied up?!? The workshop is a dangerous place for long hair. Even Men with long beards know to secure it. One should never use the band saw with that much long hair un-tied. For that matter, the drill also
I personally believe the 2019 inequities are based on female choice. I would be ecstatic if my wife and daughters were interested in woodworking, plumbing, carpentry, auto mechanics etc.
I agree. The gal that Tommy was talking to had a jerk of a dad. He must have been ultra old school. It's the only reason I can think that a man would not want to share his hobby with his daughter. It's always cool to see a parent and child working side by side. It's just happens to be cooler when it's a father daughter team up.
My wife kept riding the brakes and warped two sets or rotors within months. Third set I put on I made her help me jack up the car, take off the tires etc etc in the middle of a cold January. She has no interest in pursuing auto mechanics but she does't ride the brakes anymore.

Exposing and providing opportunities to anyone with interest in trades or any type of craftsmanship is important but as wrong as the decades ago stereotypes for womens work were, they are hardly to blame for the trades gender imbalance of today. Most women had and have no interest in hard phyical labour or many trade skills and that’s the reality of genetics. For those who do have that drive and are successful; absolute respect.
Is that "she" or a "he"? Wearing scarfs and a wiggs and in the same time operating with dangerous machinery is above stupidity. This was dumb for TOH. I have feeling that you are above this and want to teach something to someone. If this is political chanel and promotion of something abnormal, just say it, and i'm out of here for good.
I've been a fan of TOH for many years. I clicked on the video expecting a guide on how to add some nice fabric to a containers and instead got an opening monologue about how men are bad and women need preferential treatment. Very sad that they're wanting to go political instead of just teaching people things and showing what skilled people can do.
Unfortunately, the left wants to keep complaining that women aren't in certain fields and they must be forced to enter those fields or men are misogynist. But then, that's socialist and communist for you. They take everything away, even one's right to choose what work one prefers to do.

Totally unsure why ATOH aired the segment. Are they in a Sesame St. teaching mode, (after all it's 2019). If so, that's nice but I'm an adult, lecture someone else. All the while as "jumping the shark" became reality mode for this series for a few years ago. Bound to happen. Exactly how many drywall patches can a series support ?
