This place seems awesome. I learned most of my DIY skills from my stepdad who always had projects going at our house. Everyone in the family was given a job to do. I may not have liked it then, but I'm grateful for it now.

Hahaha......and safety goggles, ear protectors, and a respirator, and then add a hazmat suit just for that added sense of security. Also, always have ambulance services on stand-by and keep any relevant medical files at hand along with some blood plasma and three auto-injector morphine pens. Come on, the only thing her hair could end up getting tangled up in would be Tom, and he is such a gentleman that it would never happen either.

@@simonhenriksen3924 I have seen a girl get her hair and scalp burned to cinder by a birthday cake. Stupidity may be an explanation, but not an excuse! Drill a hole in the center of your board, then affix an indexing bolt to bandsaw table, rotate board on index bolt for a cleaner cut than trying to cut radius solely by hand.

Exposing and providing opportunities to anyone with interest in trades or any type of craftsmanship is important but as wrong as the decades ago stereotypes for womens work were, they are hardly to blame for the trades gender imbalance of today. Most women had and have no interest in hard phyical labour or many trade skills and that’s the reality of genetics. For those who do have that drive and are successful; absolute respect.

If so, that's nice but I'm an adult, lecture someone else.
All the while as "jumping the shark" became reality mode for this series for a few years ago. Bound to happen. Exactly how many drywall patches can a series support ?

About 1 min in she talks about how her dad wasn't interested in teaching her labor because she was a girl, which, no doubt, was a simply terrible act of sexism. Yet, at the beginning she talks about having a safe, "inclusive" space where women can learn, there by saying that women have to be pampered to in order to learn. I guess the men of the world are supposed to drop everything and cater to spolied women that want to play carpenter a few hours a month.
