A tip that if you set the first timestamp to 00:00 you will make chapters available for easy selection between movements, without having to go to the description / comment section manually.
I love how the English lyrics light up in the order they sound in German
Me too!
That start is so evocative...
Such an intimate and shocking start to this cantata, in 4 amazing bars!!
I occasionally come back to this. I find the Viola d'amore so brilliant. Thank you for the upload!
What an incredible cantata, and so unknown! As a big Bach fan, I haven't ever heard this one until today and I am now listening for the 2nd time! The fugue (allegro ma non presto) in the Concerto is really really great! Thank you Geru for showing us this music, and I hope you will make many more of the Cantatas in your scrolling format!
the adagio and allegro from the Concerto are taken from the organ triosonata n.4 in e minor
@@marcocampus7943 uhhh i just checked and no they arent...
Saludos desde México de parte de un fan de su canal de la música y de la composición y violinista
Am I one of the last people on earth who loves this stunningly beautiful music? Is all of this about to disappear forever?
1. No people still listen to this. 2. No people are still composing music like this. Some examples from the past century are Karl Jenkins' Benedictus from The Armed Man( I recommend the brass band version even though purists might disagree) and for vocal music from the early 20th century there is Tebe Poem and Salvation is Created by Pavel Tschesnokv or the Agnus Dei set over Samuel Barber's Adagio and something that is more contemporary Lux Aurumque by Eric Whitacre. Have a good day.
No you're not, Bach is one of the best liked and most popular composres in the history of the world. You're not special for liking Bach, stop being a pretentious ass about it.
Bach is it's God.His music was so great!
6:38 The recitative is so stunning! Bach’s music is so inspiring for everyone, it is the voice of God! Bach was God himself manifested!
I love this channel 💕
The soprano aria at 8:26 is so stunning... wow
Wow
Excellent! Congratulations, Gerubach!
In the previous video it was in G minor, but this one is better!
Thank you so much for uploading! To me it seems though that the audio quality of this one isn't so high. When I listen to it on speakers, the sounds wiggles a bit on long notes. Apart from that I really enjoyed listening to it!
Best channel
awesome
LOVE U MAN
the opening is so genius!
Did yesterday's upload get removed for copyright? What a shame
Are u able to include figured bass markings for the continuo part in future uploads? Seeing the chord progressions would be easier than trying to hear them
Edit: spoke too soon. I see them for the recitative. New question: is it possible for the Chorus and/or Arias?
9:18, inizio canto
14:55, inizio voci duetto
15:35, batt. 31
16:21, batt. 49
16:46, batt 57
17:09, batt. 66
I can't keep up with Bach's output. He just keeps releasing new shit
Kan iemand vertellen wie de bassolist is? En welk orkest dit speelt?
Does anyone know the name of the bass soloist? I don't think I've ever heard him before, but he has a wonderful tone and singing.
The bass soloist is Peter Harvey

Mi piace il flauto dolce
HIP perfomances are so disgusting. All played staccato with a lot of ornaments.
