    Exactly! This is a family minimalist channel. I think it’s very easy to be a minimalist if you live alone 😄. Not so much when your other half and children are not. It is so lovely to see that you are all in the same page and make it work so
    well. Very inspiring.

    Seattle has a ton of great consignment and charity shops, for both furniture and clothing! I've furnished a house before with all second hand furniture, artwork, etc. You'll have a great time scoping out all the shops. Ballard has a really nice selection.

      That's awesome! Thanks for letting me know, I will definitely look into that!

    Great to see your husband joining you in making this video! So cool listening to you two talk about plans for the move, what a power couple😇 I love that you guys are donating some furnitures to a charity, I remember people giving us free furnitures when my parents and I moved to the states - moving can be such an emotional, stressful yet wonderful event. I wish you and your family nothing but the best ms! Have a wonderful weekend xoxx♥️

      Thank you!!! I like making videos with my husband because he is always so funny and its funny to edit them:) I am starting to feel the stress a little bit right now, but I know it will be worth it in the end. I hope you have a great weekend too:)

    We moved 6 months ago from the house we'd lived in for over 22 years. I live with someone who has quite a few processions and so it was quite a move! Our move was the other way round to yours - we moved from a major city to a more urban area. We've only been to Seattle once and we had a super holiday. We flew into Vancouver first and then took the coach from there to Seattle and flew home from there. Vancouver is also very nice! I'd very much like to see your kitchen tour please. Good luck to all your family with the move.

      Thank you! Wow! That would have been a big move since you had lived there all that time. Are you enjoying your new home? We have never been to Seattle so it's going to be really exciting for us. I was born on Victoria Island off the coast of Vancouver, but I don't really remember it because we left when I was 2. I will try to upload the kitchen tour this weekend:)

      @@TheMinimalistFam We love our new home thank you We came from a 'two up, two down' house eg, kitchen and living room downstairs and two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs (but with a massive loft storage space) to a four bed house with a one bed annex attached. I love the extra space but after living so compactly for years I haven't quite organised our new space yet. We've been to Victoria Island and made our way up the coast to Port Hardy. It was lovely.

    I LOVE Seattle. I live just outside London England UK, and have been lucky enough to have travelled a lot around the world. I did like Florida but I love Seattle. It rains a lot so possibly reminds me of England except there is so much more to do. It is the one place in the world I would choose to live if I had to. I love downtown, the market, underground tours, music museum near the Space Needle. So close to Folks and the islands, BC. How wonderful. You may rethink the car. I wouldn't ride a bike downtown. The roads are quite steep and busy with traffic in the rain. Enjoy. I loved it xx

      Thank you 😊 I’m looking forward to the rainy weather and all the amazing things we can see and do:) We are not planning on a car right now but may change our minds in the future:) it’s nice to hear that other people like Seattle so much. I know we will too 🥰

    Thank you for this information and best wishes to your new life!
    I have watched all of your videos and am truly inspired ♥️ i have been a minimalist for 4 years and seem to never finish completely... Having 4 small children and homeschooling keeps more things than I'd like. thank you for sharing!
    I have a question about your soaps in the kitchen sink... Is the white one like Dr bronners? Do you use it for washing the dishes? What's is the other bar of soap? Thanks! I'm progressively replacing things that are more zero waste and have wondered about solid bar soaps for the kitchen (we use shampoo bars and love them).

    • @TheMinimalistFam
      @TheMinimalistFam  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you 😊 and thanks for supporting the channel:) The white soap is from a company called Good Soap and we get it from Whole Foods. We use it for washing our hands. The other soap that looks like a cupcake is for washing the dishes. I got it on Etsy. It works really well . We have had it for a long time so I don’t remember the name of the company. Maybe try searching for zero waste dish soap:)

    New follower here! Why did you guys decide to sell the car? Could you not have driven to Seattle with the car and then sold it? Wishing you luck on your travels and new move!

    • @TheMinimalistFam
      @TheMinimalistFam  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi and welcome 🤗 Thanks:) The car was too small for a long trip we could not fit any luggage in it and the kids would have been cramped. We also did not want a car because we are living in the downtown area. We didn’t want to have a car payment and pay monthly for parking etc.
