Linn Westcott and John Armstrong would certainly be proud of you guys! Sorry, but the "Gonpher Coffee" building sign is taken! John Allen had a vivid imagination, indeed! Well done, Karyn and Dale!🚂😃

I'm glad I'm not the only one who takes pictures of my models in place every step along the way... Sometimes I feel self-conscious about having my phone full of trains and buildings, but to be able to step back and see it in situ is incredibly useful!
Your boardwalk water damage looks like my water tower! It's not holding much any more...

I like to photograph everything. I mean for one thing is the show, but I’ve been doing this for as long as I can remember. The truck is figuring out how to manage all the photographs and just on my phone I have.37,000 photos and 7500 videos. And about 10 terabytes stored on drives. And a storage unit full of pictures and video tapes. Sigh.

@@ToyManTelevision Wow, my phone started struggling around 10,000 photos! No way it could handle 30k. Nor could I!

Use Titebond 3 water proof wood glue and the boards should stay down on the boardwalk. Love how it turned out other than what the rain did to it after darn rain. Nice interior to the bathrooms. Thanks for sharing all your beautiful work with us.
    GOD BLESS 🚂💕🚂💕🚂💕🚂💕

Great tip! Gorilla ultimate is very similar. But it gets flexible when wet. Anyway I’ve rebuilt and fingers crossed!! Bless you too!!!! 😊

Great vidio, like the out house and interior . Been using some wood stains on my gondolas for rust wash and a light chulk dusting, works good. Ill check them ragggs too. Thanks for the morning coffee...

Waterproffing all 6 sides of a board helps. If you only do the top, water will seep in from all 5 other sides.

Great job! The boardwalk looks very good.
Personally, I would have mounted the bathroom building back 1/2" to 1" to stagger the three building fronts rather than have them flush. Looks more interesting that way. Having the bathroom back a bit also increases the privacy somewhat.

A high tank toilet might look more correct for the era of you railroad. Might make for a fun winter project.

I have seen people use used motor oil on their flatbed trailer that they haul whatever with they seal it with used motor oil let it dry for about 48 hours and it’s completely waterproof. Might be worth a try

I think the key is I just have to have some expansion joints in there. Hadn’t really thought about that. So I’ve taken some of the slats out and sanded off about 0.030 of an inch. Put it back together. Looks nice with the gaps. And gives the wood some wiggle room. 😊

  • @Deadbrokemine

The only problem with your boardwalks is they look so much better than the station platform. I do love the sanding though.

What do you think of Thompsons Water sealer for the broad walk? Should repel the water nicely. Great build on the outhouse.

You should have put the building on peegravel....... As always a great VLOG Guys. Keep them coming . I have to sit and thing about the stink from the building .

They used to be a company called olfactory airs. They made different scented oil that you could place around your structures to give them an authentic smell. Yuck. I ran into a at a train show and I suppose they smelled pretty authentic. Smoke, diesel, sawmill, and a few oddball aromas. I don’t think they made a stinky bathroom smell. Which is just as well. First of all it’s very easy to make it home. The ultimate DIY. Also, who would want to?

    • @ToyManTelevision
      @ToyManTelevision  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Pee gravel? Or pea gravel? Or P gravel. Hum… are use a lot of kitty litter around the railroad. That might have to suffice for the P gravel. Basically it is. Pee gravel. 😂😂🥴🤪😹

This is why I don't use Thompson's Waterproofing because It DOESN'T WORK!! There is another brand called Rainbird that does work, but I don't remember which store carries it!! Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart, Sherman Williams, ACE or Truvalue Stores!!!

Will given the era, I suppose the fact that there’s a perfectly good wall on the outside of the bathroom. More over lots of trees and bushes. 🚽
