I grew up about 45 mins from there! My grandparents would take my cousins and I - their other grandchildren - there 2-3 times every summer! It was so cool… I’ve been a few times as an adult but I haven’t been in a few years… would love to go again sometime! I want to know more about the train wreck
I would like to get back there again sometime soon as well, it was a very cool sight to see. As far as the train, I need to go re-look some info up on it.
@@504louisianaoutdoors They get the 1901 derailment date from The Red Bluff Times which is/was a news paper in Red Bluff, California. This one I believe happened in 1968.
Thats one crazy sink hole.. Would that be considered a sink hole? Anyway, I'm gonna stop by when I pass through there on Wednesday while heading up to Corinth to visit family..
@504louisianaoutdoors7 No, I had my mother with me and unfortunately she didn't wan't to stop, and I ain't about to argue with her, that woman scares me lmao.. No, but we are gonna try to stop by tomorrow.. I just hope it didn't rain too much the other day.. Of course, I won't have time to do any kind of hiking anyway, so I guess that shouldn't really matter all that much.. I'm just gonna get a few pics and clips of the canyon from above..
It was very good meeting ya'll . Ya'll sure did take a interesting path down there if yall would have went left it been easier for yall to get to the bottom where we meet , would love to know ya'll opinion on what ya'll thought about my car lmfao

Thank you for this! All other videos I’ve seen were not like this
Beautiful view, looks like fun! Always be prepared to stay hydrated, especially in uncharted waters (pun intended 🤣)
Zoomed right in on my house lol, I live two miles from the bluff straight across the river

It was neat meeting yall. We found the over turned train carts. I think it happened sometime in the past two or three years.
It seemed like it would have been new. However, the story I found online stated 1901. It's possible there were 2 incidents there I guess.

I want to know more about the train wreck! It’s been there since I was little but it’s grown up a lot and it can be hard to find.
Awesome trail system they have going out there.
By the way, train wrecked in the 60s. My grandpa recalls it.
Thanks for the update. I heard some conflicting stories, but I think u may be correct.

1st time there, wasn't sure what route to take , but that makes it fun... lol.. the bumper was awesome. Great engineering on your part!
We are visiting this park next month. Do you recommend this hike for a 6 year old?
It would depend. There are some areas that are fairly safe, however other areas, like the roadway can be extremely dangerous. I'd use caution.
I wonder if the person who named it has ever been to the Grand Canyon?
man i live in slidell , we gotta fish sometimes man
