I think Rudy has the best story and could have better missions, but he doesn't stand a chance sadly. Stev I hope wins just because I want more of his story. I do like the Atticus and Garnet family story, but it is really weird that they are both romanceable...like really weird. 😅I kind of thought Garnet was a little young, older than Elsie, but still young. For the girls in the random polls, Ines is winning with Garnet, Hua and Barika kind of tied. I think Victor is going to be either of the silhouette men, probably the Skyshark. Fields of Mistria was really disappointing. I played the demo because I buying a SDV clone unless something was completely new or different. I couldn't even get through 2 days. Critter Cove fills the building part of playing the My Time games but I'm missing the story and the mechanics. So then I play Sandrock some more. The only game I'm slightly interested in is Tiny Glade to build my dream castle. I want the new Zelda game but I'm not paying $60 for it! Evershine alpha needs to start like today! I think the worst thing is how much torture the devs are going to put us through with the teasers!
My favorites are probably Kang and Garnet. But I kinda wish they kept Kang's traumatic backstory because I love my trauma characters. (Looking at you Fang) I love Stev because of Sandrock and I like the tailor guy too. Really I want them all to be core romanciples though. xD I love learning more about characters.
I also prefered Kang's story in Project ME. The current story he is more of a failing try hard. I think a more impactful story would have happened with his old story. Garnet seems like she would be very sweet. For the guys, I'm leaning towards Atticus for an older dateable NPC. Stev would be great too, but that's because I want to know what happened to him but we will probably learn that anyway. For the girls, it could really be any of them. It is interesting that we have another long time friend like Nia. I also wish they could all be part of the core group. I know it's not realistic but it's hard to invest in a character when you know they aren't going to have much story or fully spoken dialogue. I think I'm the most excited to hear the voice actors sadly, that does so much for the characters.

Yes we can! All the 6 men and 6 women in the bios will be romanceable, the vote is which male and female will become a part of the core group of romanceables with more story. Atticus seems to have a decent shot. A lot of unofficial polls on reddit and discord have Atticus and Stev in a tie.
The game really can't get here fast enough! It doesn't help that there is a bit of a good game drought right now. Other than the new Zelda game, there is nothing! I'm trying to not buy the Zelda game because I never buy Switch games full price!

I'm currently replaying Sandrock. I went in saying "I'm not going to marry Logan" and one look at those pretty blue eyes and its "there is no one else to marry but Logan!" 😂 I have no clue how many times I've played it. I'm at around 2100 hours so a lot! I switch between Sandrock, Minecraft modpacks and then whatever I'm recording. Part of me wants to play Portia but I normally play about an hour then go back to Sandrock. I might buy Tiny Glade. It looks so relaxing!
Nice! Glad to see stev doing okay. Was wondering what happened to him after the attempt to take over sandrock failed. My builder probably isn't the only one who realized he was a good guy who made a mistake and put in a good word for him.😊
It is nice to see Stev! I really want to hear what happened to him after he left Sandrock. I'm shocked the devs were so quick to put him in another game. Other characters like Haru we probably won't see for such a looooooong time! The community will probably lose it if they show Haru in My Time in Atara! 😂
I hope they have a little "scene of the town" as they called it in Sandrock with Logan and our builder catching up with Stev. That would make me so happy!

Will his story be part of the main story line, that is still a mystery! Will his story involve the Sky Sharks and maybe his mom, also a mystery. But yes, Logan is in Evershine!

I like the direction they are going with the characters. Definitely an improvement on a few. I really like the Atticus and Garnet family story. I also have never heard of a woman called Luca, I met Lucia and Luce but every Luca or Luka has been a male.

I don't know the reason, that might be a good question to ask one of the devs. I'm assuming maybe because no one else in the town changes or grows up or money/time constraints. The only exception to this is Elsie, but that was main story. In Sandrock, the kids grew up to around kindergarten age (so like 4 maybe 5). I think the one change I hope they make with the kids is that they take traits from BOTH the parents. In Sandrock, my kids with Logan were weird looking clones of my builder. My builder's hair, eyes, complexion, everything. Not a single one of Logan's beautiful genes! 😂

It sounds like the earliest is after the kickstarter is over. The devs thought they could verify the email addresses for backers while the campaign was live, ends up they can't. The vote will be a survey, it probably will be sent via email, I really don't know. They will announce it when they have more info.
Nope, he is just there to look pretty and have a part of the story. How big or small the story is will be the mystery. I hope they expand on the story he had in the Project ME, he was there for a monster contract, battled Panah, and there was a scene (it was in a trailer, don't know if it made the 2nd test) where there was a big monster. Hoping if the Sky Shark lady is his mom, he will have a bigger role. It is interesting because the devs are asking how we would feel if our governor saw Logan and our Sandrock builder kissing during their visit. I thought it was cute but some thought not so much!
I would like that too. I think it would be adorable! The devs have confirmed no NPC that was dateable in a previous game will be dateable again so it is a definite nope for dating Logan again. The vote for the interactions is little bit more mixed than I thought it would be. The vast majority thought it would be touching but man...a lot of jealous, envious people out there. 😅
I'm not linking the visuals of the new game. It really lost the My Time vibe it had since Portia. Now it looks like any other generic game out there. I mean they are still drawing them like My Time on paper, but the finished character in-game looks like all the other generic games for PC and mobile, like match-3 games, farming mobile games that are all the same, and similars. The way the world and the characters were designed and that screenshot on Kickstart of them all cutting down a tree is incredibly similar to Palia as well. And honestly, I also never liked Palia's art design. They also posted a picture of before and after there, and the before looks more like My Time's vibe, the after which was supposed to look "better" looks like your generic game or even those fighting/war/monster combat games or whatever...
I felt the same until I really put the art side by side. I appreciate the progress and I like the new art now. I have never played Palia and have never seen Palia gameplay nor do I care to really, 😂 so I have no clue if they look similar or not. At my core, I'm a Minecraft player who also like the My Time world, so that is my base! Everything is an improvement from Minecraft! 🤣 But something to remember when seeing any image of the governor/builder is that it is the most basic version of the model. There is no personalization on it. The model is purposely being kept very bland so players don't associate THAT look with the governor but instead associate themselves. To me, the art on the NPCs bios looks just like Sandrock and Portia ones just more proportional. You could easily see them side by side and know they are part of the same universe. I see a lot of people talking about the game lost its charm which is kind of the gist of what you are saying. The charm of the My Time games comes from the stories, the characters and their voices, not the images you see. Yes the NPC visuals help, but the charm comes from seeing the characters doing there day-to-day activities and interactions in the game. The world to me still looks like the My Time world. You can see elements pulled from Portia and Sandrock. There are some scenes that I swore I was looking at Portia with the rolling hills and flowers. You can tell it's all part of the same universe. Something to keep in mind is the dev team changed the look of the characters because players wanted it. Players gave the feedback of wanting more mature, realistic and proportional characters/builders. So they listened. If enough people say that they want to old art back, they may pull back on the new look a bit. Pathea listens to feedback more than any other dev team I've seen. But, the majority of people do like the art so probably won't happen. 😂You can still give them the feedback though! I would just keep an open mind that is welcome to change and maybe fully hold your final judgement until you see the final game. The game play you are seeing is very very very early in the development so it is not the final product. 😊

It sounds like the earliest is after the kickstarter is over. The devs thought they could verify the email addresses for backers while the campaign was live, ends up they can't. The vote will be a survey, it probably will be sent via email, I really don't know. They will announce it when they have more info.

Nope, he is just there to look pretty and have a part of the story. How big or small the story is will be the mystery. I hope they expand on the story he had in the Project ME, he was there for a monster contract, battled Panah, and there was a scene (it was in a trailer, don't know if it made the 2nd test) where there was a big monster. Hoping if the Sky Shark lady is his mom, he will have a bigger role. It is interesting because the devs are asking how we would feel if our governor saw Logan and our Sandrock builder kissing during their visit. I thought it was cute but some thought not so much!

I would like that too. I think it would be adorable! The devs have confirmed no NPC that was dateable in a previous game will be dateable again so it is a definite nope for dating Logan again. The vote for the interactions is little bit more mixed than I thought it would be. The vast majority thought it would be touching but man...a lot of jealous, envious people out there. 😅

I'm not linking the visuals of the new game.
It really lost the My Time vibe it had since Portia.
Now it looks like any other generic game out there.
I mean they are still drawing them like My Time on paper, but the finished character in-game looks like all the other generic games for PC and mobile, like match-3 games, farming mobile games that are all the same, and similars.
The way the world and the characters were designed and that screenshot on Kickstart of them all cutting down a tree is incredibly similar to Palia as well. And honestly, I also never liked Palia's art design.
They also posted a picture of before and after there, and the before looks more like My Time's vibe, the after which was supposed to look "better" looks like your generic game or even those fighting/war/monster combat games or whatever...
I felt the same until I really put the art side by side. I appreciate the progress and I like the new art now. I have never played Palia and have never seen Palia gameplay nor do I care to really, 😂 so I have no clue if they look similar or not. At my core, I'm a Minecraft player who also like the My Time world, so that is my base! Everything is an improvement from Minecraft! 🤣 But something to remember when seeing any image of the governor/builder is that it is the most basic version of the model. There is no personalization on it. The model is purposely being kept very bland so players don't associate THAT look with the governor but instead associate themselves. To me, the art on the NPCs bios looks just like Sandrock and Portia ones just more proportional. You could easily see them side by side and know they are part of the same universe.
I see a lot of people talking about the game lost its charm which is kind of the gist of what you are saying. The charm of the My Time games comes from the stories, the characters and their voices, not the images you see. Yes the NPC visuals help, but the charm comes from seeing the characters doing there day-to-day activities and interactions in the game. The world to me still looks like the My Time world. You can see elements pulled from Portia and Sandrock. There are some scenes that I swore I was looking at Portia with the rolling hills and flowers. You can tell it's all part of the same universe.
Something to keep in mind is the dev team changed the look of the characters because players wanted it. Players gave the feedback of wanting more mature, realistic and proportional characters/builders. So they listened. If enough people say that they want to old art back, they may pull back on the new look a bit. Pathea listens to feedback more than any other dev team I've seen. But, the majority of people do like the art so probably won't happen. 😂You can still give them the feedback though!
I would just keep an open mind that is welcome to change and maybe fully hold your final judgement until you see the final game. The game play you are seeing is very very very early in the development so it is not the final product. 😊
