The tiger beetle still sucks and no one likes him! 🤣 I still want to play Stardew. After my latest Sandrock playthrough wraps up, I think I'm going to play Satisfactory. I want to take a small break from the farming/life sim genre. When I'm done with Satisfactory, I'm hoping that My Time at Evershine NDA will be lifted (really wishful thinking because I doubt it will). If it isn't I will probably play Stardew because there really isn't any games coming out anytime soon that I'm interested in. The farming sim genre is having a bit a drought sadly! 🤣😂

I know! It is so ridiculous why of all NPCs, Alo gets to go to school! Our kids don't go and not even Dan-bi and Rian's kid goes. Why have an entire storyline in which Dan-bi is so annoying and pretentious about schooling her unborn child to the point of insulting the new teacher then NOT send the kid to school! 😂🤣Or give us a mission to take our kid to their first day of school then never go back! But oh yes, let Catori's kid go to school who would have been better off with his grandma in Atara than staying with his self-absorbed absent mother who abandoned him for fame and money. And people wonder why there is so much Catori dislike! 😅😂

@ 😂😂😂 I should remind myself not to sip my coffee while reading your reply the next time. We have been ‘gossiping’ bout Sandrock for a while now… and the more I think of it, the more I notice what a big mess Sandrock really is. Sure, the main plot makes sense and looks all good and complete but the forsaken bits here and there…I just wish there is a far more interesting ad-on options for the builder. a) The part where Dan-Bi wanted to leave town, after she agreed to stay, there should be a dialogue at the end, inviting her for a picnic. The next day, just take her on a horse to The Bend area and push her off the cliff. That way we won’t have to hear about the education method, the insult on Jane and skip the whole drama! b) Have an option for the builder to hire a bailiff, to go after Catori to collect all the money she owes. c) The option to blackmail Trudy on not to help with any repairs in Sandrock and further development until she signs an executive order for a non Sandrocker to be denied enrolment to the beautiful school, (ahem) which the builder built. (Goodbye Alo… just stay in Atara okay.) d) Allow Andy to ride on the horse so that I can make an excuse to Logan, saying I had promised Andy instead whenever Logan says he is free and want to go for a ride… especially when he kills all those WANTED monsters before I could take my dagger, out on days where I accept the Civil Corp. murder missions. 🤤🤤🤤 Andy would never interrupt… he just stands there with his arms crossed and watch me be the 1st class assassin I enjoy being…🤪💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻

😅😂That's too funny! There could seriously be a soap opera written about Sandrock! I think the more you think about the people of the town, the more you realize they all are a bit of a mess! Part of me wishes someone would make a mod like a few Sims 4 mods to add to Sandrock. That would be hysterical! There are a few Sims 4 mods that when you read about them or see videos on them, you're like ummmmmm you added what?!? Like one is a violence mod, it's a little ridiculous!🤣😂But it would be fun to add to Sandrock for specific NPCs.

We can enjoy more dramas and the characters can go berserk then. 😝 Cooper & Hugo wrestling on the ground for disagreeing on a song’s lyrics, Owen marries Amirah and while Mr. Romeo promising Amirah an unconditional love, one day Amirah caught him hugging and kissing his helper in Blue Moon (OMG, my evil mode is in max gear!) Amirah then challenge Grace for a spar in the ring 🤣 A compulsory participation for Qi in the dance festival and for Fang in Showdown In High Noon to help overcome Qi’s inability to dance and Fang’s inability to fight. Make Elsie guard the tower in Eufaula Desert. That lazy cow does nothing to help Logan patrol the desert. Logan always says he got Elsie to cover for his time but I never see her there. Citizen of Sandrock can chop down the trees as much as they want. 😝 Burgess should be fined each time he fails to pick up the litter near the reservoir area. Pen can come back to Sandrock but with one condition, he has to spar with Logan without his relic, each time Logan desires for a revenge which is a lifetime. Pen has to pick up the poop on Cooper’s farm on every morning too. Trudy is now the builder’s assistant. ( See if you like that, Trudy!😈). Andy and Jazz don’t have to go to school. A new theatre will be built on the school ground, so that Jane could go back to being an actress. 🤩 Nia can go home. Sandrock doesn’t need the forest. Sandstorm is fun. Each time the sandstorm arrives, Pablo has to welcome it. 😆 I know how much he hates the sandstorm. Firesides are only held during sandstorm. Heidi can break the Punch O Tron in game centre as many times as she wants. The new ruling is, Catori has to repair it herself. It’s her dream business after all. 😝 Builder gets to relax and do things she likes in Sandrock. Fishing, datings, riding, ruin adventures,etc.

🤣😂 That would be so fun! Mods do exist for the game, the problem is there is no support for it from Pathea. I remember it was supposed to be part of the game but never happened, probably because they didn't plan for it from the get go. Sandrock made the devs realize the mistakes they made for things like mods or multiplayer, plan for it from the very very beginning because they can't easily add it later. Evershine is supposed to now have that from the beginning. A decent number of players play with mods but it is very buggy like save fully disappearing buggy. People like having the polygamy mod so they can see everyone's story but never divorce people.

I love that line of his! I like how protective Logan is, I would be disappointed if he wasn't with his history of losing the people he loves the most. I think the fandom has reached a point where some people want to complain for the sake of complaining. 😂 Sometimes I think it's from jealousy that their favorite does not having as much story. I understand, but don't criticize or be hostile towards other NPCs because of it. I won't be counting Alo at all. He is very frustrating! 😅 I wish I knew why they made Alo into a regular townie but then didn't fully implement him. The answer is probably time and/or money, but I would much rather have seen some other fully implemented character get that dev time instead and leave Alo as a visitor/mine worker level in the town.

I hope you are doing well also! Thank you for the info about the military dress. So basically in our world, Avery would need new clothes! 😂 I hope they give him a slightly different outfit. As wonderful as he looks in his uniform, he needs an everyday type of uniform. That is my complaint about Catori as well. She cares way too much about herself getting ahead that she neglects Alo. I think that is also why I wish Alo didn't join the town. You feel bad for him because he follows her around but you never see them interact. He would have been better off staying with his grandma. I also don't like her because she seems like she would be a user. The fact that she only wants to pay in tokens isn't great either. I don't know about Dinkum. I think if I did, it would be to finish up my town, probably with cheats on. I was really heartbroken when I got to the Island Reef. I was excited to get there, so it was a huge let down. I wasn't too thrilled with the last update since I don't go to the mines or even like them and the main feature was a new mine level. But I do want to finish the island. So if I go back, it would be either a quick 10 episodes or maybe just work a lot off camera then do a wrap up mega-episode finishing it up. It really depends on how I feel when Sandrock is over.

No worries! The crib thing has become his thing recently. I have no clue why. It's really funny but also really annoying! 😂 The crib hitbox is so bad already, him standing on it makes it so much worse! 😅😂

@ His thing… I like it. 😆 😆😆 Not surprised that there are still bugs here and there in MTAS. But it makes your videos extra special because of all the bugs that occurred while playing. 👍🏻😁

The bugs at this point are features! 😂🤣 I think from this point forward, there might still be bug fixes but I wouldn't count on it. It will probably be only for the more game breaking ones. Sad to see Sandrock development winding down.

@@Lexi_Plays_Games You are spot on! With Evershine on the horizon, Sandrock is slowly abandoned. I know this sounds stupid perhaps… but sometimes I wish Sandrock would go on for a while just like Stardew Valley. There are so many ways to keep it going, expand the story, add dlc and add more new monsters especially on the Eufaula area, yet the devs decided to start a brand new title. Am a bit disappointed really.

I think I'm more sad that the map is so big but most of it is unused. I was really hoping there would be a map expansion type DLC like a Logan and the Monster Hunting gang DLC where you went on contracts or something. The devs teased right around full release that there would be more map exploration type DLCs, but then Project ME was announced. There are also a few things that were in trailers that were never implemented like a complete dinosaur fossil in the museum. NPCs like that relic as a gift but it never got implement. So it's really disappointing! At least complete the things in trailers. They need to move on from Sandrock but it seems really fast!

That is heart crushing! It really is sad when people disappoint you like that, especially when kindness is quite easy to follow. It takes energy to be a nasty person but for some it unfortunately comes way too easy. For me, Catori reminds me of a user. Anytime I encounter people like that my walls go up and I feel on edge. That is how I feel towards Catori. If I were to meet her in IRL, I would probably stay very far away from her. You can always pick out those types of people because they are always looking for the next victim to use.

It is a really long game! 😂 I would say there is about 130-150 hours of content with this game. It is well worth the time! The story, writing and characters are all wonderful! If you are going to watch along, I did start a new playthrough. There isn't much difference between the two except DLCs and updates. @@Headlesscourt Me too! It was the best bug ever! 😅 I always hoped it would be one of those persistent bugs that kept coming back, but alas, no such luck. 😂 Maybe in Evershine we will get a similar one!

They can grow up to about school age. It takes a little over 3 months for them to get there. There is a special mini-mission for when they get to that stage. After that, they don't age up anymore.

I honestly don't know. During "beta" testing for the update, you did because crows attacked your ocean crops constantly. I was finding random crops missing just like you would on land so I just kept them up. It doesn't hurt to leave the up. The game is a mess!

It is sort of. If a character resets for any reason, that is where they respawn. I've had Cooper, Elsie and Fang in an endless falling loop there before. In the 1st early access of the game, there was a chest there. Inside it was the item art of the avocado but it was called some type of oil. That chest was then eliminated in an update. So maybe it is a clash of 2 issues there. It's just weird how it randomly shows up! 🤣😂

Unfortunately none of that is in the game. It would have been a nice touch for Logan to have a special line for you if you name your son Howlett but he doesn't. It's definitely a missed opportunity.

Yes, that has happened to me. I can't remember the exact details mission wise, but I believe it happened when I was partnered with Pen also on Day 1, while other matches were going on I did part of a story mission, as soon as I got back to my house, there was a letter saying I was now partnered with Justice. There are a few story missions or firesides where the next story event will make an NPC not available and the game picks a random NPC for you to be partnered with. I remember for when the game partnered me with Justice, it made no sense because he was also a part of the mission so it was weird. Also like you, Pen was watching in the crowd. I would say there is definitely a fail safe. The game knows you want to participate. Not all NPC fight in the Showdown by design so it pairs you automatically with someone not fighting so you can still play the game. I think they figure having a random NPC to fight with is better than not being able to participate at all. Unsuur being outside the arena for the last fight is weird, but I have had NPCs fighting fully outside the arena like the game forgot to teleport them in or something. It has only happened to me in matches I wasn't participating in though. The Showdown has been a little buggy! 😂

Sadly, I think that is why. I also think they voted for him because they thought they could romance him again. Not happening! If Fang's story is anything like the melodrama in Sandrock, he can stay outside the gate of my settlement forever but I will let X in! 😂🤣 I don't know what they are going to do with him at all! It seems like a waste of dev time. What I also don't understand is the Fang fans are all upset because the rest of the community isn't happy with his visit and are being too harsh on him. So?!? People can think differently. Personally, I'm so tired of Fang because he has become a chore. I voted for Arlo and Cooper. Arlo because a lot of stories could be told being he wanted to be in the Flying Pigs and he's a Civil Corp member. A lot could have been done with him and Ragnar that's for sure! And I voted for Cooper for the laughs! More story could be told through Cooper than a silent doctor. Seeing Avery be stuck in a conversation with Cooper would be hysterical! 😂

@Lexi_Plays_Games I'm tired of Fang, I feel bad for what he went through but I'm not here for all the work it takes to even be his friend let alone spouse. It's so upsetting that people just want to see how he looks and thought they could romance him (pathea never said that) instead of thinking about who would be the best choice for the game story wise

I'm feel the same as you. I feel bad for Fang and what he want through, but I'm tired of him. I play games to escape drama, not to live out someone's traumatic childhood. I voted for storylines and who I wanted an update on. I also thought Phyllis visiting would have been a nice choice since Luca is her sister. But nope, people went for superficial and selfish. It is upsetting people chose to vote for that. I think they will be sorely disappointed in the end. I'm hoping for the best with Fang's visit, but expecting to probably just have a good eye roll/shake my head at it all! 😂

@Lexi_Plays_Games this may sound harsh but I'm not here for the emotionally unavailable guys. Been there done that. It's one of the reasons I'm choosing Ragnar based on what we know about him so far. He seems like he knows his worth and confident in himself I'm hoping for the best too but I don't think I'm going to get as much as fun out of his visit as I would've Arlo or Cooper. I wish Pathea didn't even make him an option because Fang is so popular it seemed pretty clear from the beginning that he would win, who knows though I trust Pathea and maybe they have a good storyline of quests for his visit.

I feel you on that one! One of my biggest fears with Avery is that the devs will go the emotion unavailable or past trauma route. Please no! That's why I'm also very interested in Ragnar. Keeping my options open! 😂I prefer Avery but will gladly date Ragnar too! I agree, it was unfair that Fang was even on the list. He was most likely put on there because Fang is the director's favorite so he would probably show up in some way even if he didn't win the vote. But yea, I'm also putting my faith in the devs and writing team they will try to make the most of it. I'm now rooting for the long shot of a Howlett's Monster Hunting Guild visit! 🤣

Thanks! I always use the name Howlett for Logan's son. I don't know if there is any other good choice really. 😂🤣I do like that name though! My game is on PC. I have the switch version and it's unplayable. I tried about 5-6 months ago, it crashed, I had characters T-posing, it then froze when I tried to talk to anyone, all in about 20 minutes. I gave up! Some people have completed the game on Switch so it is possible. They must have more patience than I do because everyone has issues with it! 😅

I see. 😁 I use Champ every time. When I used to play on Switch, the house used to go missing a few times, my builder froze after a mission and what I hate most is the transition between day and night, which was pathetic. I did watch a video sometime ago, showing improvement on frame rate, the shadows in the game and how the grass is after the update. But I doubt it fixes the other major issues I mentioned above. I wonder if it’s all fixed now. 🤔

I stopped playing the first time on the switch version when my house, chests and machines all disappeared. The last time I played it was right after a big update. I thought it was the graphics update because I wanted to see if it improved at all. I could be completely wrong with the timing, but I remember trying to play for the purpose of seeing if it improved and being disappointed. For the sake of those who can only play on the switch, I hope it is better than when I played! 😂

I hope so. Even with Fang's supposed found confidence by the end of the game, he still doesn't talk to anyone. His job should be easy to create a story, but the way they made him quiet, there's no story to be had anymore. I can't see him teaching people things or interacting with others. If they make it more of the same dramatic story, I will probably skip his visit. I've reached the point where I'm really tired of Fang. He's become a chore, which is really sad!

@@Lexi_Plays_Games Where does Evershine fall on the timeline? Is it before/during/after this story? If it is after maybe he continues to improve. He honestly doesn't annoy me as much as Miguel and Cooper do.

Evershine is approximately 3 years after the events of Sandrock. I don't know if they are considering the end to be the Duvos Invasion or the credits rolling. I wanted Cooper to visit! It would have been hysterical! I voted for Cooper and Arlo! Those would have been the most interesting storylines to me.

Me too! Babies as they currently are leave much to be desired. The least they can do is bring back some of the random missions you did as a family from Portia like having a picnic by the sea. I would like a little more than that. Picking out outfits would be cute. Having cute slice of life type mini-missions would be nice like chores, homework, playdates with other children, etc. I also don't want the kids to be the builder's clone anymore! That alone would be such an improvement! 😂

@ yesss, I would even pay for an extended dlc for the Evershine series if they don’t include more features for the children! If you think about it the player spends a lot of time trying to romance an npc, just to get married have a child and it be kind of a lacking experience

I would pay for that DLC too! I think at this point, they have to do something about kids. It is one of the more common bits of feedback I see. I'm hoping without early access for Evershine, they will have more time to work on this late game stuff that has very little to do with the story. You can tell they ran out of time with Sandrock, so a lot of the polishing of mechanics like children just didn't happen unfortunately.

Yea, it's a little disappointing. They tried! I think a lot of the Andy issues are because his adoption was added so late in the game's development. Maybe if it was implemented from the get-go, it would work how it's supposed to. The kids in this game are a little cursed anyway! 🤣😂

@ A little, is putting it mildly. 😁😁😁 After 2 rounds of gameplay in the early days and I begin to notice the pattern of not being able to kiss, hug or pat them on the heads, I let my builder stay childless and click ‘let me think about it’ each time the spouse mentions about having a baby. ( My builder did marry Unsuur, Owen and Fang each, once). Afterwards it was all 😋Logan all along. Plus, nowadays with just Logan & Andy, no one gets left behind on a family outing. Both gets to hold my builder’s hands, equally. 🤩 I do hope in MTAE things will be done differently.🤞🏻

Most of the time when I play and don't record, I never have kids. I'm happy with Logan, Andy and my builder as a cute little family. I will sometimes have kids then go back on the save to before having the kids to see if they fixed the genetics. I'm normally sad because they are always my builder's clones! It would be awesome if the issues with kids were fixed for Evershine. I don't want clone kids anymore! The kids looking a little cuter would be a welcome change...they sometimes look a little possessed! 🤣 Picking out my kids clothing would be a nice touch too. I also miss some of the Portia mini-missions where you took the kids to a picnic. I would like to see little slice-of-life things implemented. That type of stuff keeps me playing the game long after all the missions are done.

@ Agree!!! I am craving every single point you mentioned above to be in the game but I can’t see it happening. So true and sometimes 😭 they even look like Shrek’s distant cousins. Pebbles is the only cute one in the whole of Sandrock. My 2nd biggest complaint is (or is it the hundredth now ?😝) the builder’s children not attending school. Just roaming places from morning to dusk. Rian’s daughter is also missing school, yet someone like Alo born in Atara , gets to enjoy the school my builder built. How bizarre! Those born in Sandrock are simply neglected. (Nice one Trudy! ) Plus,having multiple saved files help like you said. Just jump to another when a break is needed from the one in use.✨

With the amount of feedback on the kids, the devs know they need to do something at this point. Where the problem most likely comes in at is when is taking care of the kids still fun and when does it become a chore and a mechanic people skip. That's a fine line! The character progression like you said was another feedback they have received. I think with Sandrock development, Act III and the conclusion took much longer than anticipated so a lot of the polishing was forgot about like sending the new babies in town to school. That type of thing probably shouldn't be skipped again because it makes the game feel unfinished. I'm hoping with no EA for Evershine, it will be more polished like they promised. I would be a little sad if it wasn't. 😊

So far in this save, he has his moments when he is very clingy and moments when he's not. A few times, his pathing has just been strange! He has this sudden need to just run somewhere which is kind of funny! 😂🤣

It is a cute mission! Again I'm very sorry you are grieving for your grandmother. It is tough! There are days when I often think about my grandma and she's been gone for almost 20 years now. It does get easier. 🖤️❤

Yes! They will all still be romanceable. Being core or not simply differentiates how much story/missions they get. If they are a core romanceable, it is Logan level so A LOT, if non-core then Pablo was the example they gave so a mission or two. I voted for Barika so I'm a little sad she didn't win!

I'm still very shocked that Hua won especially even now after winning, no one is talking about her. It's kind of strange. I voted for mainly diversity picks except for Ines, she simply seemed interesting. I'm the opposite of you, I refused to vote for Hua because I'm tired of the forced best friend story line. 😂 I really dislike Nia so much that she is in Arvio territory! She is way too pushy. Even after the devs said Hua would be nothing like Nia, the damage was already done for me! No more forced best friends! 🤣 I agree, the big issue with the vote was the lack of knowledge of what these characters are like. I hope if they ever do this again, they give us something more because the knowledge we had is not enough information to go off of. So instead people are putting their own spin on these character's stories and personalities which just leads to a lot of outrage and disappointment. People are already very disappointed their fav didn't win so add on top of that characters not meeting their version of the character isn't a good thing.

@@Lexi_Plays_Gamesoh I see lol 😂 hey! It is all good. Everyone has different interests! I find it weird too how no one is talking about Hua. Perhaps it is a silent majority thing. I’ve talked about her a little bit in the discord but I’ve been trying not to think about this game too much so the wait doesn’t kill me in the meantime lol. Yeah 100%. You summed it up perfectly! When it comes to new games in general, I try to avoid discussions online so I don’t hype myself up and it leads to disappointment.

@@Lexi_Plays_Gamesto be honest, I wouldn’t mind instead of doing a vote for the core romanceables, they make a DLC to bump the character stories up and have their own arcs instead. Kinda similar how they did the love chronicles for Sandrock but better and put focus on the side characters. I wouldn’t mind paying more if the quality is good and it unlocks more stories for these characters.

I'm kind of the same way as you. I don't mind having discussions about the characters or the game, but I try to stay away from a lot of it. I used to be on discord a lot, but I go there less and less to not become too hyped up on the hopes, ideas and wishes of others. That Avery thread, though a great read, is probably going to lead to a lot of disappointment! 🤣 Now I just go to discord to search for dev crumbs and that's about it. That would be great if they did a DLC like that! But as Sandrock showed, they will only do DLCs for the very popular characters so your core group, which is a shame. I'm almost to the point where I would rather have only 10-12 well-developed, diverse romanceable candidates with fully fleshed out stories, seasonal clothing, special activities, etc., than the current way things are. Some of the Sandrock romanceable NPCs are so underdeveloped, it's like why even bother! I don't like seeing a bunch of forgotten about NPCs with no story and I feel even worse for the fans that like them. A DLC would fix that, but the voting shows the devs who is popular and who is not. Like Rudy would never get any time in any DLC (poor Rudy😅). I'm glad Evershine overall has less characters so far, so that is promising! 😊

It took way too long for Logan to have the baby dialogue! I'm just happy picking up the crib was the solution. I think Logan would be a great dad!

It really is! I feel bad for the stylists because they are the ones who suffer due to their salon owners charging too much. My hair is long but simple enough. So from now on I will be cutting my own hair. It is too much money for something that doesn't last!

The easiest thing to do is find one that is close to how your brain works or modify one to what works for you. Hope that helps!

I was more nervous because my hair is long and wavy but then I kind of realized the waviness would probably hide mistakes! 😂 Next time, I will do more layers. This time I was concentrating on simply making the ends straight and some face framing. My goal is to find a length I like and try to maintain it instead of waiting a year! 🤣😂I was already bad about haircuts but covid made me really bad!
