THANK YOU, Chef! This brought me back to my childhood where my grandparents and parents gave me a lot of bingkas and puto every morning with sikwati or soda and I will do the same with my own kid. God bless you, Chef!
I made them and they were sooooooo good I couldn’t stop eating! I reduced the sweetness a little bit. Thank you Chef Rose for sharing the recipe. I really missed bingkang bisaya the provincial way with tuba for fermentation. But this recipe came very close to that. I’m beyond thankful!
I’m learning a lot from your videos which are clear and concise, not unnecessarily lengthy and long-winded like other videos. Keep sharing your recipes. Thank you.

I miss this delicacy so badly. 😢 My ears and eyes peeled are on the screen now . Never paid attention in my youth because these were readily available. But not here in the Texas border. I'm grateful to you that I can recapture the taste . I wonder if I should use the torch to brown the top.
Thanks chef Rose. I’m craving for this but I’ve no access to banana leaves at the moment. I’ll use baking paper instead, knowing the imparted flavor of the banana leaves will be missing. You are so appreciated!
Another great recipe Chef Rose, what is d equivalent of 1/2;kilo to cup? , will appreciate if you give d measurements in cups n spoons, most of us don’t have weighing scales.. your reply will be appreciated. Thnk you!
Yes you can. You just need to adjust the water. I have a recipe in my youtube channel that uses rice flour. In my personal opinion, freshly ground rice tastes better than rice flour. I think it has something to do with the processing.
Hi po, would the rice flour and raw rice measure the same in cups if I use rice flour? It looks authentic and I would like to try it. Thank you po Your subscriber from UK
No. Rice flour and rice grains do not measure the same in cups. I have another recipe of bibingka that uses rice flour. Please check it out in my youtube channel. Thank your for watching!
375F for about 30 - 35 minutes (depends on the oven and the size of your bibingka) and then turn on the broiler setting of your oven and bake until the top browns.
1 kilo of raw rice is about 5 - 5 1/2 cups depending on the variety of rice. It is best to weigh it. The recipe needs 1/2 kilo so it is about 2 1/2 - 2 3/4 cups. Thank you for watching!

You need sugar on top to torch it.

Rice is usually 5 cups to a kilo but it depends on the variety. Thank you for watching!
hi chef, thanks for sharing. question, can we use rice flour? what is the difference then?
Yes you can. You just need to adjust the water. I have a recipe in my youtube channel that uses rice flour. In my personal opinion, freshly ground rice tastes better than rice flour. I think it has something to do with the processing.
Excited to try pinalutaw puto or bibinta bisaya
THank you Chef Rose for this recipe. I want to buy “galingan sa bugas” Beside using the blender. Can you pls help me find one Salamat
Where are you located? If you are from Cebu, we can order it for you in Caro and Marie.
Hello chef rose . About sa rice . Normal type of rice rane chef?
Yes. Regular rice. Buy the cheapest rice because it is less sticky. The more expensive rice will not make a good bibingka.
Yummy
Thank you Chef for sharing your recipes 🙏
Can I use rice flour for this recipe? What's the measurement? Thank you po.
Yes you can. Use same amount of rice flour.
Hello Chef Rose. Ask ko lang if the yeast no longer needs warm mixture? Thanks po.
Yeast does not need warm water because it is already warm here in the Philippines. You need lukewarm water if you live in a cold country.
@@ChefRoseofCaroandMarieCebu Got it. Salamat Chef Rose😊
hi chef, what is the substitute for banana leaves.
Thanks❤
My pleasure😘
Hi po, would the rice flour and raw rice measure the same in cups if I use rice flour? It looks authentic and I would like to try it. Thank you po

Thank you po😊

You mentioned 400 degree for 20 minutes. That high temperature the bibingka will not burn?
So sorry, it should be 375F. My apologies for the oversight. Thanks for calling my attention to this.
My favorite delicacy in cebu
Can I use rice flour for this?
Yes you can but you need to adjust the water content.
Thanks! I will just follow the recipe..
Hi Chef whats the oven temperature and how long do you want me you bake it. Salamat
375F. Baking time depends on the size of your bibingka.
What's the temp if I will use the oven and how long to bake?
375F for about 30 - 35 minutes (depends on the oven and the size of your bibingka) and then turn on the broiler setting of your oven and bake until the top browns.
Hi chef am a new subscriber and your bibingka recipe that been wanting to make seems easy to follow. How much rice did you use in cups?
Thank you chef
By the way watching from California
1 kilo of raw rice is about 5 - 5 1/2 cups depending on the variety of rice. It is best to weigh it. The recipe needs 1/2 kilo so it is about 2 1/2 - 2 3/4 cups. Thank you for watching!
For next time, easier to blend if you add only half of the liquid first.
Hello chef rose. High heat ba if steam?
Yes ma'am.
Can I use rice flour?
Yes you can. But you need to adjust the water/coconut milk in the recipe.
Thank dai, my fave, bibinka and puto! 🥰☮️💟
My pleasure!

, we have grinded rice it earlier and it soaked water quite long , ito po ba cause .
Yes. Over fermentation will make the dough sour.
Using masipag rice po

P30 each depende sa size.
You need to adjust the recipe if you use rice flour. Please check my youtube channel for bibingka recipe using rice flour.
is it instant yeast?
Yes ma’am. Instant dry yeast.
Hehe
Parehas ra sila ug lami whatever method you use.
Tuba man gamit namo sa una.
That is correct. But it is difficult for most people because tuba is not accessible to most.
Hello Chef Rose! Pila ka tuba ibutang ig này
Available na tuba? Salamat kaayo Chef!
Hi Chef what’s the oven temperature . How long did you bake it. Salamat
