That was a fun one! Which do you prefer? Overall I'd say the ZVEX is a bit smoother whereas the Line 6 adds a bit of top end. But I found the screeches of the Industrial Fuzz to be a bit more musical. What do you think? Would love to hear your thoughts below.
There are tiny differences...that literally nobody will ever care about when listening to the music made with either. Value for money goes to Line 6, no question IMHO. Great video!
Excellent video. The sounds were really well matched. Naturally, it's most likely people judge with their eyes and preconceived notions of what should be better. I slightly preferred analogue for setting one, digital for setting 5, and no preference but lots of love for those inbetween. 👊
👊 Thanks for watching. Totally agree with you about settings 1 & 5. I thought the Fuzz Factory did a much better Velcro fuzz but settings 3 & 4 were very close.
Thk you bro!!! This "vs" videos are awesome and you did a very god job here. I have a HX Effects and I wouldn't buy the original pedal cause the mimic is perfect
Amazing riffs and tones! When the Fuzz Factory update came out I thought it was good enough for me to sell my Zvex Fuzz Factory pedal. Although I still believe that the original pedal sounds a little bit better, being able to automate preset settings and oscillations with the helix makes it so much easier to work with. Another important detail is that the original Zvex would not sound good with a digital pedal or buffer before it (like digitech whammy, Line 6 G30 Wireless Unit or even in the Helix FX loop).
Are you adjusting the input imediance down to get these results? This would totally be good enough for me and could justify the price of admission for Helix Native enough. The concern I have is the interface I typically use, RME Baby Face Pro FS, does not have adjustable impedance and is fixed at 1 meg, but I am mostly using Fishman Fluence Classics these days so not sure if that would lead to this being less of a consideration. Very helpful video BTW! Thanks!

Great comparison!. I think it's the only one in all youtube, I hope you start doing videos again, I just discovered your channel and subscribed

Thanks for watching! Agreed - good things for each and It’s always good to have both option :)
Great video!
Love this type of videos
I prefer svex but, as i a have a line 6 devices gonna try all this settings.
Glad you liked it. I prefer the Vzex too but sometimes wish it had the switch to turn off the oscillation like the helix.
