Same area of Delhi is American level infrastructure. But not about skyscrapers.

we have lot of land then there is no requirement for skyscrapers.

Population will decline after 5-6 decades. There is no need of skyscrapers, and direct sunlight to the land is good for soil. Plans are currently future oriented. There is no need of giant structures.

      1. No lane discipline shows its India
      2. Have you driven in America?. Right now, not a single express way which is built is build like the US interstate. There are so many 'design' flaws like, a. did you see how the service roads merged with the highway? You'll never find such a dangerous merger or entry or exit in the US interstate
      b. You'll never find vehicles stopped unless in an emergency to call cops
      c. Shoulders even near the median is wider than the shoulder here for emergency stops. Gives a lot of driving comfort and safety
      d. Sides are always landscaped and gives the appearance of forest in the US interstate, insulating nearby towns and villages from the noise and pollution from the highway and also preventing people and animals straying on to the highway. Here the same is achieved with ugly fences. Which i find broken at every 5-10kms wherever in drive in India, making the experience extremely dangerous in India
Here I am not questioning in the honesty of the government, i voted for this government, but bothr Gadkari and Ashwini lacks a quality called 'attention to detail' and unfortunately our engineers both in the highways and railways are extremely incompetent.
Gadkari keeps saying US level roads but if we had followed US type design of highways, accidents would have drastically reduced. I know this because I drive both in the US and India, and I don't find the same comfort or feeling of safety here. And I blame it on small design issues with the highway design. Quality is good though

Nice. It is only due to farm fires in neighbouring states that Delhi becomes polluted in certain times of the year. Otherwise it is beautiful

lol mumbai is conjusted af, delhi is a landlocked city, lot of area available. And if you want to see some tall buildings you can go to NCR regions like Gurugram and noida. they were made for those purpose. Delhi is already built and developed, doing construction on already built city will cause inconvenience to citizens. Delhi already has lot of air pollution, let it be green and open.. construction will only increase pollution@@hitekshvaghela6088

      @@hitekshvaghela6088 nah!, not at all
They might save some area but if made densely they block natural light in surrounding areas, reflects sunlight to particular area while magnifying its heat and biggest letdown is they almost act as a solar cooker hence took lots of energy to keep it cool and we all know about delhi's summer
