The only gripe I have with this reel is the weight, but that goes with the size of the reel th-cam.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I brought this salmon fishing up in Oswego, NY. I coupled it with a Cabela's Whuppin Stick. I had no problem pulling in a 14lb salmon. I will probably use this for surf fishing this summer and downgrade to a 3500 series Battle II next salmon season to save my wrists. All of the operations are butter smooth and the bail is nice and thick and has a solid flip to it. Everything about this reel is sturdy and strong. The drag system held up to the salmon and was also super smooth. I did use a scale to set the drag properly before going out to the river and this worked out tremendously. A bunch of other guys on the river would hook up and snap almost immediately. Just because you have a good drag system doesn't do anything if you don't set it correctly.

I know John. I just love the way he can cast his rod wherever he wants it to go. Always so perfect and he catches monsters all the time.
I usually use a small jig head hook with a rage tail swimmer, sort of like a cross between a ned rig and a swim bait.

I really need to learn the swimbait game! I've been bass fishing my whole life and I've never really thrown big swimbaits hard or soft...Of course i've thrown small paddle tail baits but never anything bigger than 5 inches...It looks like a lot of fun, I think I will pick up a variety of swimbaits and learn this summer!

I bought three (3) combos when they came out the first time. I bought two (2) right hand baitcasters and one (1) spinning reel. For the last month I’ve been showing some of My Grandkids how to use the baitcaster and they are starting to get the hang of it. We live in Utah so we have to travel far to find spots to bass fish. It is predominantly trout fisheries around here because of the cold climate. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy catching any kind of fish but there’s nothing like hooking an angry bass that’s been harassed on it’s bed. These combos are awesome and so easy to place your cast wherever you want to place it. My Grandkids are really enjoying learning how to use them.

Swimbaits, chatterbaits, and spoons have always brought me great luck when fishing for bass. I know it's different depending on location but here in PA that's what they love. Unexpected video today but I'll take it. Love the content Noah...the vids keep me going until nature decides to make up it's mind whether it wants to be winter or spring. Got my first bass of the year on the KTBTV combo paired with a chatterbait so it's a great start already. Wasn't nothing to write home about but a fish nonetheless!

Yes! As a common courtesy, always introduce guests at the beginning of videos, on behalf of both your viewers and guests. Helps the audience engage throughout the video, especially if the host familiarizes the audience with some details about the guest's talents, experience, qualifications or skills... None required, but it's nice to know so viewers can relate and compare personal experiences of their own or even set new goals. 🎯👍
@@MoniqueTrentREALTOR Thank you Monique. I didn't necessarily call out Noah for not giving all of us (his viewership) her name because I know how private he is when away from his TH-cam channel. If I'm guessing I'd guess it is his girlfriend and she may have asked not to be identified too. I know as TH-cam famous as Noah is it would become commonplace for viewers to approach them or her while at a restaurant or grocery store even. That sort of attention is not always welcomed and would get pretty old pretty quickly as a girlfriend if Noah was not there with her. I get that. So a "TH-cam Nickname" might be nice to address her by in the comments leaving her real name for private use only. I believe that would make everyone more comfortable and still respectful of her privacy. I do, however, want to make clear that I don't know if she is Noah's girlfriend so I'm assuming nothing except she's a nice young lady and is a friend or relative of his. I hope she can be in more videos too. Nice to see another Lady Angler get some face-time. Maybe kayak fishing together next time 1V1 👍

I've fished many ponds here in Louisiana. It seems like every pond, you have to change your bait for each one.
Just caught my PB, bedding in Lake Okeechobee, on a 3/8 oz. black and blue swim jig with a paddle tail trailer- black bodied with a blue tail. 10 LBS! 23 & 3/4"! They grab the bait on the drop. Cast into the edge of the cover, then crawl it through until it falls off and sinks... BAM... gets 'em going in the evenings. Good luck and keep your videos coming. Great job and nice catch!

Those big bed fish are so hard to get at my pond. There is a 4 or 5 pounder on bed with a smaller one and even when I'm 10 feet offshore she swims away. Any tips to get her?

Hey Noah have you ever been to St. Johns County Florida? I have seen a few videos of you being in Jacksonville. Come on down to Trailmark sub-division in St. Augustine Florida. I promise you will not have the police called on you!! LOL!!! We have some nice retention ponds that holds some very nice bass. Can be tough to fish sometimes but when they are on it's a lot of fun!!!
