The materials in that are very simple. For someone just starting to tie streamers that is nice. Thank you! Love to know how productive it is on browns and rainbows.
The OG boogieman crushes, especially black or olive with that wood duck gold flank feather. I can tell by looking at this version it’ll swim the same but it’ll be easier to cast without the wool head.
Dude I love this series Especially because Im often missing one or two materials for a fly and then have to improvise. Such a cool idea to make a series out of that!
I'm sure you're already aware, but when tying any feather in to sit on top or the sides, like the mallard, I flatten the rachis with my fingernail first! Keeps it from rolling.
New to the act of fly tying actually don't even have a vise yet but I really enjoy your videos . Looking for a vice shortly. Thanks for all you material.
Oh, might have to try some of these. Also little weird not seeing the eyes on the underside of the hook guess those bead chain eyes are light enough not to flip it over, I think I remember you saying something in the patreon email that they're light enough that it'll swim side-to-side instead of a jigging motion.
Nice - I like the wood duck and black together. Wouldn't have thought to try that combo. I couldn't really see the bead chain well - is it different from bead chain you can buy in bulk at a hardware store? That's where I've always gotten mine Oh, and thanks for showing that Peak with the Brown Trout pattern - now I need one of those too 😄
I have seen 6" trout eat a 7" Double Deceiver. SUPER hard to answer your question, but small fish will eat flies that you would never guess they would.
Interesting fly. As soon as you started talking about the tail I said to myself, marabou. Why? It's a Kelly Galloup fly of course. I'm not sure he uses anything else for tails. Keep the good stuff coming buddy.
Great content brother!! Love the boogieman. With how you did the eyes, do you think it could potentially ride hook point up, since they were tied on top? Perhaps they're lighter weight and don't have that same effect. Cheers!
2 things with bead chain eyes. 1. They aren't heavy enough to force the fly to flip unless there is little-to-no materials on the hook, or the hook is too small. 2. when you tie bead chain eyes in, they end up almost 50/50 on the hook because you are only tying the skinny metal "link" to the hook shank.

Nice! Now I have something new to tie.
Dude I love this series
Especially because Im often missing one or two materials for a fly and then have to improvise. Such a cool idea to make a series out of that!
That's the exact thought process! Thanks so much for watching!!

Never seen that combo. Looks killer🔥
I like that color pattern it's way cool man

Awesome looking fly, as usual
Cool fly! Gonna try to tie a downsized version of it tonight!
Nice tie sir !
Awesome KG tie! Would love for you to discuss the mechanics of how the fly swims vs other bugs.
All hail the olive boogie man
Awesome!!!
Another great video Thanks!!
Killer fly, going to try this one out
Simple enough to tie, might have to go tie some up at the bench tonight, great vid Brian! 👍
Awesome, black and gold, a favorite! Thanks Brian!

I like the color combo. Black is one of my favorite streamer colors.
Sweet variation - love the colors!
Those dumbell eyes are super cool!
Keep breaking the rules Brian! The color combo laid down great, awesome tie!!!
Excellent fly pattern. You make it easy to follow along and I am going to give it a try. Thanks

You are in for a treat - fly tying is so much fun!
This fly is giving me ideas for some spicy combos. Great job 👍
Boogie Nights!
I like that black on black dubbing, nice fly.
That wood duck is awesome contrast on the black. Love the fly
Nice fly
Super clean lot cleaner than wool
great video
Good looking fly .... just tied my first articulated streamers the other day ..... maybe not as nice but have to start somewhere!
Bro you always make it look easy!
Love the Boogeyman and I love your version!
Another great video, thanks for sharing.

Exactly!
Nice job. What else might be used as a wind?
I like the video keep up
Awesome colors. You make it look so easy! Why were the bead chain eyes attached on top of the hook vs below? Do you think it matters?
Brian...wow...you back to the basics...straight up good tunes and tying? Why have you gone to return yourself to the good old formula?😊
What situations do you like using this pattern?
I like all situations for streamers. To really see what streamer fishing is all about, you have to do it.....a lot.
@ When our rivers aren’t frozen it’s pretty much the only way I fly fish, well, that and mouse patterns as well.
🔥🔥🔥
Nice - I like the wood duck and black together. Wouldn't have thought to try that combo. I couldn't really see the bead chain well - is it different from bead chain you can buy in bulk at a hardware store? That's where I've always gotten mine
Oh, and thanks for showing that Peak with the Brown Trout pattern - now I need one of those too 😄
This Boogieman is gorgeous! Is it possible to get your recipe?
Do you find the dub vs wool head makes a difference in how it fishes?
Not really much at all. The big difference is the lead eyes vs bead chain eyes.😳
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
No superglue for the training hook connection?
Nope. Not needed if you tie with a lot of thread pressure. I have never seen it fail.
Love the videos! Just curious, what’s the smallest trout size that would eat something that big do you think?
I have seen 6" trout eat a 7" Double Deceiver. SUPER hard to answer your question, but small fish will eat flies that you would never guess they would.
I get why you use the vertical eye on the back hook, but what is the advantage of using it on the front hook?
No major advantage, at all. I just really like how the 2 work together.
cold water smallmouth killer with the bead chain eyes
Interesting fly. As soon as you started talking about the tail I said to myself, marabou. Why? It's a Kelly Galloup fly of course. I'm not sure he uses anything else for tails. Keep the good stuff coming buddy.
I need to see it swimmmm
Nice tly will have to, tly 1up

2 things: 1. The eyes aren't heavy enough to flip this fly. 2. When you tie bead chain eyes in they get a LOT closer to 50/50 on the hooks shank.
Chunky and tasty
Why did you not flip the eyes so it rides on the hook side? You don’t want to fly to swim hook up do you?
2 things with bead chain eyes. 1. They aren't heavy enough to force the fly to flip unless there is little-to-no materials on the hook, or the hook is too small. 2. when you tie bead chain eyes in, they end up almost 50/50 on the hook because you are only tying the skinny metal "link" to the hook shank.
@@brianwise6647 That is good to know. Thank you! (^_^)
Why put eyes on top?
I don't think there's a head material that's better than Laser Dub or it's equivalents
Scare the fish into eating the boogeyman
Nice Boogie Man variation! I just DMed you on Instagram. thanks!
