- Hi guys, this knot is to tie your braid to a braided leader or mono leader.
My Friend "Stevie" showed me this knot using a sinker and i was amazed.
Super smooth, strong and easy.

much much easier doing it like you show hereby, with a humble sinker.
Just the finishing of the knot in my opinion (depending what we target always) has to be a bit more sturdy and secure, just to safeguard it won't open or gets damaged if there is going to be a really messy fight like with an AJ or similar.
he did say a rissuto finish is what he does. but for demo 2 half hitches is okay

can you use PR knot for 30lb mono main line to 80lb mono leader and can you use it for 30lb mono to 100lb Braid leader
Hi Victor, Tried it. From you vid, practice makes perfect, otherwise as in my case, makes a groote mess.
haha where did you go wrong, 2 most important steps, is swinging the sinker really tight, and probably the most important, lock it tight at the end(Especially Braid to mono), Rizutto finish is better to use
Did you half hitch with tha mainline or leader or both?
Hi Willi, Only mainline over both. But search for Rizotto finish knot, i find it more reliable.. the half hitch was just for demonstration

@@saltaholic5235 Likewise. An FYI, do not try the PR with Gosen fluorocarbon. The line is extremely hard and have tried with as many as 60 turns and it still slips
Don’t be cheap and buy the damn bobbing tool. If that sinker breaks you’re in for a nice black eye surprise. 😂
haha true man, but i'll rather buy a spool of braid with that money!
