I absolutely love this! It's so cute. Love this little world. I'm so glad you includid totoro! He's so cute. I love how it lights up. Thank you for sharing. Btw do you have a tour of the whole gnome home? I would really love to see it. 🍄
Thanks so much for this video! I'm making felted acorns and using real acorn caps and want to make a mobile. I wasn't sure how I was going to drill holes in the caps, but now thanks to your helpful video I'm going to try using a Dremel. Thanks so much. Peggy
I just made 4 of these with the fattest acorns I have. They turned out great! I stumbled over lining them, however. Two attempts and I threw in the towel. I simply applied 3 layers of Mod Podge to seal them. I had to add a little tape, glued on, to the fastener prongs. I then coated them with the same Mod Podge which really brought out the luster and evened out the color. I didn't use a Dremel, just the tip of my exacto knife for cutting off the tops and making holes. Love these!!
You are undoubtedly one of a kind. Yr work is utterly amazing!!! I don't know of too many people who would attack a project like this. Someone with a lot of time as this is so delicate. Just amazing!!! Thank you for showing what can be done if y have the patience. 🥰🥳
I've been making acorn necklaces for Christmas and in my experience you don't even need dremel. Infact it's easier if you don't. Just take off the cap part and then sand off the top of the acorn. None of my acorns have split or cracked and using something like 120 grit sandpaper, doesn't take long to sand the top off at all.
What kind of tool is your little paddle tool that you use to spread the glue on the cap edge? I like it because it has a thicker middle and looks easier to handle than just a small wax stick. I LOVE your work!!!!!
That guard is incase the blade explodes from centrifugal force and stress and end up in you neck. Has less to do with keeping cut debris out of your eyes. And it’s more of a necessity with the sanding discs because they are more brittle. Those steel ones are pretty safe on what you’re cutting.
What I showed on the video is all I did, I didn’t find a need to prep them first. I do soak walnuts in water for a couple days before cracking them open tho. Soaking walnuts first will allow you to crack them without breaking the shell.
no, I didn't. If you look in the pinned comment I have the direct link listed near the bottom. Unless you are asking about my original miniature's page called "Dollhouses and The Things That Go In Them", that one I no longer use, I haven't since 2019

Your work is absolutely magical! Subscribed!🍄Edit: Do you have an Etsy shop where people can buy your walnut worlds?
I've been meaning to ask this question too.
beautiful work💖
Radagast in the back 💚
Thank you so much!

Love it! I’m making little acorn people right now. Where did you get your blade for your dremel? All the blades I have just burn the acorn!
all the blades I have came with the Dremel. It's a fairly cheap one from amazon
How beautiful

How do you prep your acorns before working on them? Some recommend soaking them and then baking them at a low heat.

Where and what tools are you using and where can I get them? Trying this craft out for the first time. :)
I thought I was clairvoyant for a second! 🤣
😂❤️
Nice
