What I absolutely adore about David's Becorns is that he brings out that "magical" feeling I used to feel when I was a child, when I thought about fairies and all that mystical world that's so fantastic and mostly mythological. That feeling that one day, you may encounter one of those beautiful creatures and all of the experiences you could have if only... That happened. So I'm VERY MUCH in Love with Becorns and everything around them is just wonderful. David is truly a creative artist, such unique perspective, very remarkable.
I'm always reminded that we haven't been taught how to learn well. I have been on my journey to figure out and learn how to make things and already feel behind.
The beauty in David’s story is that his “epiphany” came at a totally unexpected moment! Everything was so perfectly aligned in his universe! And now he gets to continue on his creative path that brings him & all of those fortunate enough to see his work, so much joy & happiness!! Even his formal training for medical tool design helped to get him where he is today! His awesome journey continues & hopefully we’ll all get to use our imagination whenever we see his work!!! I used to make a much cruder version of becorns with my friends when we were younger in the 90’s, didn’t have the tools to make faces or anything so everything was just glued together but it was a lot of fun and when you can’t afford to get actual toys it’s nice to be able to create an alternative

Back a few years ago when there were only the still frame images going around, I was told a nasty rumor on reddit that this creator was using taxidermy to get the images and they accused the photographer of animal abuse. Now that I see this is the creator of those images I saw Back then and I can clearly see that I was being misinformed. I am really glad to learn the truth is much more kind and beautiful.
