I'm real interested in these, and I'm overall happy that KZ seems to get better after the whole stuff they went through. Better tuning and what looks like overall better construction.
@@VortexReviews1I am ordering one this week just to avoid that problem, hope they don't change it in the next few days hahaha! I just ordered ZVX Pro..
Forgot who it was, whether it was Paul Wasabi or Ian Fann, but they said it competes with the other budget ones at 13mm planars, but that the s12 and 14mm+ planars are technically better in most cases. However the tuning is important as well as this ones bring down the energy to reduce the ‘planar’ timber like the s12 2024, S08, and s15 do
@@VortexReviews1 I just got mine, I also agree with the saucy gentleman above.. It keeps a bit of planar timbre which I like. I find it to be very good, and it will improve as it burns in. KZ planars take over 100 hours of use to really sound good.
Hey Vortex! Thank you for your review. I have a question about the treble, specifically around the 7-8 kHz region. To your ears, do you find this region to be boosted a lot? I ask because when I tried the Kiwi Ears Melody, I found cymbals to be in your face and distracting.
T10 has a warmer tilt to the sound, is easier to drive, and has a way better accessory package. PRX has a brighter-leaning sound and the bass feels better balanced. T10 has a ton of sub-bass, and I thought it drowned out the mid-bass a bit. Also, for my ears, I found the PRX to fit more comfortably. The nozzle angle on the T10 and the round shape always made the fit tricky for me.
@@VortexReviews1 sgor makes them (haha), I don't know what factory actually assembles it, but the driver is from the same factory that makes the s08 driver, apparently it's a cut corner s08 driver, that's my best info to date, also, it's the tuning, not the driver, that is identical to prx, according to Akros

I have never seen paper filter on KZ and I have many. Usually it's metal. ZVX is brilliant. It's a fantastic IEM. You do know you have to burn them in, right?
@wahid-lg1kk it's cloth filter or paper filter mesh gets dirty and catches moisture Why they don't use metal filter mesh ZVX is the worst KZ iem so muted dull sound edx ultra was million times better

KZ probably hired new people to take care of the tuning department, or changed their approach. Great review, Vortex!
Thanks very much and I hope so 👍
How did they change the tuning really? They seem to have as bad treble as pr3
@@matusjurcik6974 PR3 seems more wild than this one.
They do have a new tuning guy
If only they did the same for qc stuff.
I was not expecting this, great review as always. Definitely putting this set on my shortlist.

looking to get these, got my first pair of KZ 12 pro x and like them alot with my fiio A3 amp which brings them alive!!
I'm buying one as a first planar IEM. Already using the Cadenza as a DD IEM.
Hope you like it!
Temu has them for $22

Hey, do these stack against the more expensive planars (s12 pro, mp145, f1 pro)

It is boosted a bit but it didn't bother me
i hope KZ will never repeat again removing the mesh over the planar driver as happened in PR2.
Me to as all it does is destroy trust in a company.
KZ always do this stuff

Voider summed it up pretty well. Both are solid choices no doubt.
Which has better midbass? Mostly listening to pop & kpop tracks. Thanks
@@squalllionheart7675 Maybe the PRX.
Is it power hungry like the og pr2?
I never tried that one but it it is power hungry.

It should be okay for that.
