Thanks for going through this EV automaker financial review Steve. This has been a very tough year for EVs, and EV startups. But I think that all of the capabilities of EVs like clean, economical operation make them a good bet in the longer term. And I think that there is a growing need for efficient, affordable transportation, so I am happy to see Aptera's progress, even though it is slower than most people would like. There are no guarantees, but I believe that Aptera will succeed if they can start volume production within the next year, get financially recharged with an IPO, and work towards expanded production and profitability. Enjoy your trip!

I took delivery of a Cyberbeast more than 2 weeks ago, and I am super happy with it. Many stories about issues with them plesse just take it with grain of salt. Early adapters need to understand that like any brand new product comes early production bugs (Aptera will not be immune...) I have been an early adapter for many EVs and ICE so I'm okay with taking the good with the bad. Overall, very happy with my Cyberbeast❤

The closer Aptera gets to production and/or IPO, the more they *need* to provide more accurate guidance regarding production, milestones, and finances in general to be taken seriously by investors and the market overall. They should not IPO *prior* to achieving such broad positive outlook from outside the current community of fans and hopeful owners here. Production timelines and milestones should be realistic, conservative and clearly achievable.

Steve, any chance you can ask them if we can get the Aptera without the wrap? Why bother getting it wrapped if we are just going to change it anyway? My plan is to schedule the wrap on the same day I receive the vehicle. I really want a green wrap because I love the color and the Aptera as a solar electric car is also green. There was no rust or corrosion of the body of the cybertruck. It is iron filings, typical where autos are shipped by train; iron wheels! The dust settles on vehicles and begins to rust. This happens to all cars. Very visible on white ones for decades. Also found if you live around foundries or brake dust from autos where they tend to use brakes the most.
The recall 2.2M was an OTA, even though the tesla font was 20% bigger than some other makers. TMK no other company has been cited, because they can't make a change maybe?
The glass on the truck can withstand someone trying to bust out a window using a spark plug [small and concealed, used by thieves, saw vid where they could not after many attempts]. Same stuff basically as Pyrex. Would have to know the size of hail. If it it over the density of a hardball at a speed over 70 mph, then it has been clearly stated by Tesla that it would break. So a fastball from a skilled high school pitcher might do that.
The big recall that was for all cybertrucks built at the time [under 4800]. The go pedal issue, where it 's metal cover could slide up and get caught on the carpet and stay there! They put crews at the charge stations and as cybertrucks came in they asked to do the recall work and 5 minutes later they are done. Took 2 weeks to do 80%. Started before it was announced by NHTSA. The rest were done via service trucks on appointment or in centers.
The ones that stopped almost immediately somehow did not get their break in milage at the factory. Which would have revealed any issues and be fixed. They have found the issue in the mechanical software and the firmware has been updated.
But you still do not have access to FSD or autopilot, only basic cruse control. The rear mirror is just a mirror where it should be a monitor because of the tonneau. They just add it to the screen and it needs more adaptability on were it can be. There are new reports of it getting rattles. As Sandy M said, metal is constantly in motion... the side upper trim around the doors is bolted on and has limited adjustability. But do not think that the stainless is not structural as implied in the article on unibody cab. A cybertruck was rear ended by a newer Ram at a stop light. The cybertruck drove away with an upside down smile in the tailgate and a broken bumper cover. The Ram was totaled.
It's nice to have all these alpha tester's. Keep in mind your going to be one hopefully.
The cyber cab looks like it might be made with SMC-glass and be a two seater? Farzad slowed down a flash vid Elon released on X and extracted what he feels were the most important clues for the cab. Looks more and more like that was Franz last year at Aptera. I still have my reservation but if there are options next year that can fit my needs at a lower price or same price with bigger battery for home backup? The refresh Y may have 48V and bidirectional charging? Hyundai/Kia, GM, Ford or Volvo might surprise us? Kia EV9 is bidirectional now.

I lost all interest in Lucid when they became involved with Saudi Arabia and will not buy products or support companies who associate with countries in this region. I look at other EV’s to purchase but Aptera has cargo space, it should be the most efficient vehicle and it has solar panels. I spend most of the winter in FLA. so Aptera should be a great vehicle for me. (If they ever start building them)

...and no weather protection, so this is a toy not suitable for daily use outside of southern California.

I have an ICE Carmel Blackjack and it’s a lot of fun.
I agree they need an enclosed offering. If you look at their concepts, check out the Indio. Zero idea if/when they would produce it, but I’m sure it would be sweet.
      Vanderhall’s are 69” wide vs. Aptera’s 88” 2wide, by the way…
Props to Vanderhall as they used their own funds and built the company from the ground up, following the intelligent path of testing multiple (11) major variants before settling on what they build. A major setback they overcame was finding out the first vehicle (the Laguna) was just too expensive to attract dealers and first time buyers. They completely reworked the method of manufacture, cut the price by more than half, and were off and running with the Venice. How many companies are that dedicated and resilient?
Consider that if you ever thought you would want something like a Sprite or a Midget, Vanderhall makes a brand new thing that has you not doing a resto. When driving it, the 3-wheeler part is totally transparent.
