If it is on the right armrest, you would grab a hold of the joystick and push it out to the right, it will swing out of the way and to the right coming back beside the armrest. If its on the left armrest, it would be the same just going to the left instead of the right. Watch this video starting at 1:20. Marc is showing this chair and it has a swing away joystick and it should move just like the one on the chair in this video. @Marcsmobility AT LAST! I found the trick to getting the joystick to swing back. I had been trying to make the joystick unit itself swivel. What I should have done was push sideways against the box that has the headlights switch. The arm joints open, move aside to the right and back. It clicks in place. Doesn't need any extra strength at all.

Just came across your video and I'm not finding the extra large footplate you mentioned in the video that you sell to fit the Jazzy Air 2?

I have the swing away joystick. How do you get it to work? The delivery person made it work, but I can't. Is there a trick to it?
