Thanks for bringing this use of the color calibration module to my attention; I had not previously considered using the colorfulness and brightness settings at all. I really like what it is able to do, so I share your enthusiasm. Thanks for the video.

I just discovered your channel, especially the videos concerned with darktable: great stuff! Keep going, very well done post-processing.

This is fantastic. I found I could add artificial direct sunlight into landscapes using this module to add contrast and change the light temperature. Great for making images pop on dull, overcast days. Thanks for another great video.

Great explanation! I do the same thing about first color calibrating and then fine adjusting with color correction and color lookup table. Once you get used to them, the variety of modules make the most of Darktable. I'd like to ask you: Do you know how the "normalized channels" option works? It seemingly avoids oversaturation and softens the effect, but I can't understand its exact working method.

I am sorry buddy, but I am not as confident with it 😣

Why does the yellow become green-ish if you increase the red colorfulness? since yellow=green+red, i would expect that increasing the red colorfulness would make the yellow more orange...

I believe there was a few issues with the color calibration until release 3.4, now fixed from 3.5 onward. In saying that your assumption is right. The official release 3.6 should come out soon, if I understand correctly.
