I always found it weird the gen 6 introduced mega evolution, but didn't give the gen six starters mega forms. (Ash greninja dosent count) So why not expand the roster and give the remaining starters, up to gen 7, new megas
Given Ash-Greninja's popularity, removing it in favor of a Mega would irk a lot of fans. For Gen 6 (since there aren't exclusive implementations of the gimmick for certain Pokemon, for e.g. certain Pokemon getting exclusive Z-moves or GMAX forms), I'd honestly give all 3 of them of Battle Bond. Have the Gen 6 legends game focus on the story of Zygarde, AZ AND Bond phenomenon, and you'll have an excuse for Battle Bond not only existing but also having the mon with Battle Bond reflect your character (like it should, according to the anime, at least, since Battle Bond is pretty much only explained in the anime). Not to the point where it's just your character as a Pokemon, just the Pokemon feeling more connected to your character.
@Roger Loe Why does Greninja HAVE to be special? Greninja gets Battle Bond, but the other 2 get Megas, that just seems like Charizard all over again. (Granted, for Battle Bond to work for all 3, it would need to be properly explained)
@Roger Loe Yeah, so giving both of them 1 OP ability sounds like a better option, doesn't it? Plus, both of them can also hold an item unlike a Mega, and Gen 6 starters get that exclusive implementation of the gimmick like Gen 7 had with exclusive Z-moves and Gen 8 with GMAX. Give them all Battle Bond. Hell, give em a Mega too, why not?! Sounds stupid, but you have to consider that these are the starters of the least popular region (not generation, that's debatable. Don't know which side I'm on since I haven't played ORAS). But it might be too much. In that case, just Battle Bond if possible. I mean, Mega Rayquaza is the only Mega that doesn't require a Mega stone. Wouldn't it be logical to at least give that privilege to the Gen 6 starters, the starters of the gen where Mega was first introduced? IMO, yes and since Serena and Alain own a Delphox and Chesnaught in the anime, that might be more likely than you think, especially since Alain already has a Mega. Again, I hate to sound like a broken record, but they should properly explain Battle Bond in either the remakes' post game or the Gen 6 legends game (in addition to Zygarde, AZ, and the rest of Kalos' history ofc, since Kalos does have a rich history, at least according to the anime), and have the Pokemon (somewhat) resemble their trainers (so the player character) after transforming. This is what should be done ideally for the Gen 6 starters, making them a more solid trio (Greninja only having the additional honor of being in Smash and Unite, Delphox and it's pre-evo being in Unite and Pokken. Yeah probably should do something for Chesnaught, maybe an ancient Kalosian form or something, and add him to Unite). But naturally, this is way too much work for GF, despite earning millions off of, Idk, the biggest franchise in the world (at least one of the biggest?). And, yeah, at that point, at least give 'em the Mega. But, IMO, they should try their best for one of the most controversial and imbalanced trios in Pokemon. I mean, it's just 3 Pokemon. And it's not like you haven't done Pokemon with a gajillion variations before (Vivillion, Alcremie and Floette). Given the way Smash looks and feels on the Switch, I doubt there'd be too many hardware limitations for that. Again, my opinion so feel free to disagree.
Originally megas were branded as a way to give some powercreeped Pokémon new power. since there was no way judge Kalos Pokémon as powercreeped when they were brand new and they all unfortunately missed their Chances at megas.
I loved all of these starter GMAX designs, except, ironically enough, GMAX Greninja. I feel like the water looked too colorless, especially when you compare it to Empoleon's tsunami water, which was an awesome blue. Even GMAX Inteleon has a much more brightly colored water sniper. Also, Greninja itself didn't really change all that much, which again Empoleon did. It also lacked the distinct, glowing and brightly colored eyes most GMAX forms have.
Bro this is not water, it's literally an alter ego made of mental energy, like the one goku used against moro with the mental power of mui, and it suits very well on greninja...wtf you're talking about?!?!
11:11 This is something I’ve been thinking about, after the Pokémon movie and seeing the Torterra farm and how they were massive and actually living walking forest/terrains. Made me wonder about Avulugg and if it has the ability to get massive as well if it grows enough. I imagine this would only be possible on the poles but they’d be these sleeping giant icebergs either laying still on land or asleep adrift at sea mistaken for huge icebergs. Love the world building you can do with Pokemon
Here's some hypothetical G-Max Moves. Because the Kanto starters and the Galar starters G-Max Moves were largely similar, I'm doing this with the limitation that all three starters have the same effect. It might not make total sense for all three. Torterra: G-Max Planetfall / Infernape: G-Max Flame Cloud / Empoleon: G-Max Reign Storm. The user and allies are immune to Ground-type moves for 5 turns. Meganium: G-Max Solar Raze / Typhlosion: G-Max Pyroclasm / Feraligatr: G-Max Riptide. Lowers the accuracy of all opponents by two stages.
I feel like GMax-Torterra could have a sort of Spinda gimmick, where no two Torterra-Worlds are alike! Maybe there could even be one where it’s just land, or just water.
Here are some G-Max moves for each: Torterra: G-Max World Crash(ground) sets up spikes Infernape: G-max Burning Cloud(fire) makes the user immune for ground for five turns Empoleon: G-max Tsunami(water) forces target to be switched out Meganium: G-max Ancient Flora(grass) drops a random stat on the enemies Typhlosion: G-max Malstorm(fire) drops all enemy accuracy Feraligatr: G-max Croco Chomp(water) drops all enemy evasion Greninja: G-max Pond Avatar(water) raises ally evasion Serperior: G-max Master Serpent(grass) raises a random stat for allies Torterra[again]: G-max Titanic Fruit(grass) gives allies a berry that is eaten immediately
The thing I like about Gigantamax Pokemon that we didn't get with Mega Pokemon is that the Galar Pokemon with GMax forms had their concepts finished with the Gmax forms cause they were built around that. Mega Pokemon were always weird cause they felt like they were forcing an arbitrary concept around a finished Pokemon with the exception of Diancie. Like I think GMax Orbeetle is better than any Mega Pokemon because it had the benefit of being designed as a four stage from the getgo. Retroactive GMax forms... feel like they have the same issue as Mega Pokemon. I wish more GMax forms worked better with size though, like I think ones like Orbeetle or Centiskorch are awesome but what does say Corviknight have to do with size? I do think it's gonna be weird to lose Gmax forms cause now it sorta feels like something like Coalossal is an incomplete concept.
I understand why BDSP didn't include Dynamac and GMax as it was made pretty clear that it was a phenomenon exclusive to Galar caused by Eternatus. But it not innovating in anything except the Fairy Type is so disappointing Even if they just gave the Gym Leaders their Platinum Teams and made the Platinum Dex the Standard, it'd be 10x better, yet they didn't even do that
Wait, since when could Rillaboom's drum turn invisible? Last I checked it just carries it around on its back, kind of like a little backpack. You can see it clear as day in Pokémon Camp. I think that's pretty neato in all honesty.
Chesnaughts G-Max could be him connected to a large tree, as it looks like a conker, and it could have a special move where it rains down conkers onto the battlefield, damaging all enemies and leaving conkers to damage any Pokémon that come out, like stealth rock
This is amazing for the greninja because Greninja would look weird gigantic because it’s supposed to be a ninja but with a giant water double-team and a giant Shuriken and it looks amazing

11:00 About that, what I was thinking is that there is a giant tree in Norse mythology called the yggdrasil which represents the different realms of the world. Vikings are also associated with Norse mythology so I guess it does tie in somehow?
I brought a Nintendo Swjtch back in January and I brought and played Pokémon brilliant diamond, Arceus and sword and I gotta say out of the 3 games , sword was by far the most fun I've ever had playing a pokemon game. I love the gigantamax feature.
I cried at torterra it’s so perfect, then I saw infernape and cried some more I’m so happy they went into the monkey king lore, and the lost my shit at empoleon
I was intrigued by most of them, but I didn’t like Serperior and Meganium. Reason for Serperior is the same reason I don’t like Gmax Centiskorch. The design is essentially still the same as it’s base form. Meganium on the other hand well, I’m biased I just don’t like Meganium. That Typhlosion however was awesome! Really liked the second Torterra with the D-tree!
The best one was Ferraligator, also Torterra. The others were meh for the most part. I’d like to clarify that the concept for Infernape is AMAZING, but the design seemed pretty basic and lacked a lot in details. Whereas Ferraligator was fully fleshed out. Art is subjective, but I went through a pretty logical way of determining the best, so if you dont agree you either have a preference for the other pokemon or simply didnt pay attention to the art.
Gmax torterra(first design):i am planet now. Gmax infernape:sunwukong but novice. Gmax empoleon:posiden. Gmax maganium:I'm walking here! Gmax typhlosion:I AM THE STORM THAT IS APROOOOACHING- Gmax feraligator:a feraligator that stole drudigon's spikes. Gmax greninja:naruto and nothing more(bonus challenge:everytime naruto is said, take a sip of water). Gmax serperior:peeled world serpent. Gmax torterra(second design):the arch nemesis of all snorlax.
G-Max Moves: Torterra: G-Max World Tree Grass Infernape: G-Max Fire Fist Fire Empoleon: G-Max Tsunami Water Meganium: G-Max Flower Burst Grass Typhlosion: G-Max Eruption Fire Feraligatr: G-Max Tide Chomp Water (skipped Greninja bc they gave it one) Serperior: G-Max Royal Vine Grass Second Torterra: G-Max Dynaquake Ground

About that, what I was thinking is that there is a giant tree in Norse mythology called the yggdrasil which represents the different realms of the world. Vikings are also associated with Norse mythology so I guess it does tie in somehow?
Glad to serperior getting the love it deserves
Ara Ara this is great as always keep up the good work 😌💅🏻
I brought a Nintendo Swjtch back in January and I brought and played Pokémon brilliant diamond, Arceus and sword and I gotta say out of the 3 games , sword was by far the most fun I've ever had playing a pokemon game. I love the gigantamax feature.
Perfect time for being on my recommendation page
I cried at torterra it’s so perfect, then I saw infernape and cried some more I’m so happy they went into the monkey king lore, and the lost my shit at empoleon
In regards to Empoleon: that "crotch spike" is meant to be like the icebreaker of a ship.
Why every time I’m drowning I stick my head up and website Typhlo
The infernate give the vibe of a sun god and a thunder god
Love the minior around the torterra!
I feel like Greninja coulda been standing on a floating and spinning water shuriken instead of like a frog summon.
Gen 4 got done dirty
I was intrigued by most of them, but I didn’t like Serperior and Meganium.
Reason for Serperior is the same reason I don’t like Gmax Centiskorch. The design is essentially still the same as it’s base form.
Meganium on the other hand well, I’m biased I just don’t like Meganium.
That Typhlosion however was awesome! Really liked the second Torterra with the D-tree!
Gmax seperior looks like a glorified banana and I like it (not THAT kind of banana)
The spike on the third also resembled an anchor, which is fitting with the wave.
Wow your channel is magik
I love how greninja has a shorter one on top
Me, sees the THICC pikachu: I will become the ultimate pikachu god!
Can we talk about your amazing singing voice? Like wow
Why is gen 3 always left out 😭
I mean gen 3 got mega
What about gen 2, 4, 5, 7, 9?
Um… look when this video was made

Gmax torterra(second design):the arch nemesis of all snorlax.
Was looking forward to a Gigantamax Decidueye ^^"
No more beyond the thumbnail.
That is TO BE Greninjas G-Max Form and THAT is fucking FINAL.
Fun fact: Sun Wukong has his own giant form. It has 6 arms, 3 heads, and a ton of weapons, witch I think would be perfect for gigantamax infernape.
Gmax moves Greninja:Gmax Ash Shuriken
Delphox:(i just wanted to make them bc there arent here)
:Gmax legendflame
Chestnaut:Gmax Shell break
G-Max Moves:
Torterra: G-Max World Tree Grass
Infernape: G-Max Fire Fist Fire

Serperior: G-Max Royal Vine Grass

Gen 8 feels like it was decades ago
