As a retired Met Officer, 1971 to 2001, when the Police were a force ,we also provided a service, then a politician had a hissy fit and sought to destroy the Police, Mrs May did very well, police stations disappeared, Police instead of being pro active, became reactive.Numbers dropped , constant criticism, a system stacked against them ,what do you expect
