It is so cool watching the old hydro photos. Nothing compares to the old piston engines. BTW, the Miss Bardahl and crew were my favorite boat and crew. Ronnie Musson was one of the best drivers ever in history. RIP Ronnie Musson
This Bernie Little Unlimited hydroplane, Kenny Bernstein’s Funny Cars and Top Fuel Dragsters and Junior Johnson’s Stock cars made me a Budweiser man for life.
The Epitome of the team in that year I think. Super slick Boat!. Still have my 1/10 scale MRP "88" Miss Bud hanging on the wall. It's so fragile I dont dare put it back in the water. Tri Cities in 88!!!. It was a nude beach on the Pasco side. The big boats would fire up and everyone would stumble in waist deep, Drink held high!. Awesome!. Thanks for the footage!.
Yep the most beautiful boat in my opinion too. I also have the MRP Miss Budweiser and a couple of the Proboat version. Beautiful boats. Love the old videos in the 80's and 90's
@@TheToymanbb Had alot of fun with my MRP. Once I went to the glued on kit-included sponson ride skins, Optional metal-ish rudder and bronze prop with 14 matched hot cells, then we were making money with the dual brushed motors and 1989 Hydro Zeta water cooled speed controller. All of that is silly stuff now,,sadly. Clipped/blunted the head off of a lake grebe that surfaced right in front of me with the rudder. Got lucky with no hard damage. After a few scary water-wheelies down the straight, it was time for retirement. I wanted to keep what I had, and had invested.
I was glad to see the piston powered bud in the tri cities this summer, but have often wondered if/when we will ever see some of the early turbine boats turning some laps. It will date me when they start calling this boat 'vintage ' (I'm only 34, but have likely seen 30 races on the Columbia, my dad grew up on canal drive just above the pond)
just yesterday I was in line at the store behind a guy buying a sixer of Bud and I commented how I missed the Miss Budweiser hydro and dude was clueless as to what I was talking about. I live in Seattle, and this guy had no idea what I was talking about.
Ty Mcfadden Should have checked his Green Card, and told him BARDAHL was on sale at Pay-n-Pak lmao Bummer KIRO cut their coverage this year. And their MAKEUP show had Everything. EXCEPT RACING...
