However, when I actually used it, I was disappointed as it was of a quality that should not be released into the world. I found that the only one I could buy with dual fans was the slightly more expensive ASUS. 1cm thickness and aluminum back plate create a great cooling effect. With Radeon, no one will have much trouble with heat even with Sapphire Pulse... All RX7800XT models have excellent cooling structures, so for example, the Hellhound actually reaches these temperatures, and even with the dual fan model, temperature is rarely an issue. However, the 4070 and 4070S are not well-made, so there is a big difference in quality between models. PNY Dual... !! Most people understand this without having to say it, but if the power consumption is high, the room temperature will rise significantly no matter how cool the GPU is.

Even with the 3-year warranty, I'm not comfortable with this, so I've been keeping it at 70% and 70°C with afterburner on ever since.
thats what i am saying for some time now. With rtx 4070/super cheapest models are trash ecs when compared what you get with AMD, my7800xt Hellhound works at 50c, hotspot at less than 70 and it costs few $ more than ref models. No such models with Nvidia unless you pay quite a lot more. Even 4070ti super comes now with MSI duo cooler with plastic back plate, thats 700$ or more GPU.. Asus with dual fans is decent maybe few more but rest is junk like you buying rtx 4050, not 4070. No hard feeling its how it is. I am not giving money to Nvidia any more.. Their vendors have so slim profit margins they have to save on coolers and PCB comoponents, PNY rtx 4090 dont have single fuse on board, every little issue can fry your core bcs few cents..
@@roki977hellhound and nitro+ are great my mate has a nitro+ in his itx build which has very little airflow and it stays at 55-60C while being quiet
@@roki977 I agree with you. This is my first time building a gaming PC. After doing some careful research and understanding the difference in cooling performance, I purchased the cheap Geforce product.
I actually wanted to join Team Red, but the RX7800XT was still a little immature and Hellhound was a little expensive at the time, so I went with Green. I want to dye my body and soul red in the next generation, so I'm looking forward to AMD's progress.
@@銀河光芒 forget about temp and all that, its not that much important and you gonna have great time with your GPU. I started speding money on those toys round 20 years ago i it makes me sad when i see how wrong things are at this point.
Nvidia is really good in many ways with AMD you have to be more patient and often wait for new drivers for full potential, sometimes it takes a while, sometime never but thats rare. 80% of my gpus where Nvidia and most of them where flagship models. Now i just dont want to give them so much money.

how is your rx7800xt stays at 100% AT ALL time
7800xt is a beast. No need to buy overpriced Ngreedia hardware
You guys remember when you could buy a 500€ GPU and max out any game for the next 2-3 years? Both games are so demanding and GPUs became so expensive, its a shame you still need to use 1080p to get 60fps minum in every game, even then games like Alan Wake 2 completely destroys the performance of both cards.
Thanks for including power consumption
Im getting 150fps in God of War Ragnarok with RX 7900 GRE 16GB OC edition paired with Ryzen 7 7800x3d, with 32GB of Kingston Fury ram memory clocked at 6000Mhz.
Also getting about 110 to 120 in Cyberpunk but with the AMD FSR it goes up to 170/180. It depends.
But in general these cards are phenomenal.
4070 is still worth? for $438 brandew? planning to buy.
Only if it's GDDR6X. If i were you i would save up for a 4070 super or wait for the 5070 in 3 months. If the 4070 you are looking at is really at $438 .. buy it immediately
More or less comparable performance. But the temperature difference... Wow!
7800xt + efficiency+ features= rtx 4070.
I didnt even need to upgrade my old 550w psu for it. 👍

so why does everybody praising the 4070 even comparing ps5 to it when the 7800xt smokes it?
AMD cards amaze me, how do they run double the wattage and are STILL running cooler than Nvidia cards?
First up, at the same price you got msi ventus 4070 or PNY 4070 while amd you got Steel Legend, Hellhound, Sapphire Pulse + Sapphire Nitro+ and all of them are 3fan but also SAME PRICE, you know what i mean.

If Nvidia priced their GPUs like AMD does, there really wouldn't be any competition.

Nvidia is Good imo
They don't have drivers issues

Amd is a pretty solid winner here for that price but we have to consider other factors and application nvidia cards have to offer on top of ray tracing such as nvidia streaming encoder and drivers stability

70W difference is no joke. But the fact that it gives almost 20 fps difference makes it worth it but barely because not in all games! However with Ray Tracing enabled, it going to get rekt despite with FSR 3. DLSS on the other hand is very usable and carried the 4070 but that GPU is expensive as ****! Only managed to surpass the 7800 XT when RTX is ON. This is why we (finally) need the FSR 4 in 8000 series. Although you don't really care about raytraced contents in games, but this is quite high-end card though to start with and it already struggling in RTX-sponsored games.
