I know it's quite a personal story and choice for everyone but I like what someone said " You can be your own kind of vegan/vegetarian " and also " there CAN be something in between "

for the language do tandem a few times a day it really helped me to be forced to talk and also talkingto lacals amd makinglocal friends, they dont care thete ifyou ate not fluent , they are apritiative they you make the effort.

take your kids to a local activity so they and you can meet people, people in South Europe are nice but they connect wi5 you once they feel you wanna see the place and when you remax into it.. though in Catalan its harder.. but still they do wanna welcome people and connect its part if the culture to welcome not just your old community and friends, you need to show quriosety and no fear and just.. be chil and start talking to people- been involve with people is very important to keep senity and setel into a place
