  • This old magic guillotine trick is a classic, yet our specimen was a little worn out. After trying to repair it for quite a bit I chose to build a new one - and I am really happy with it! It's at least 4 times as heavy, but also way more stable and safe.
It's already been tested on a willing participant, and rest assured no hands were cut off! Whether that counts as functioning or not, you decide. :)
Hope you enjoy the video as much as I do!
    Love,
    Jonanas ❤🍍
PS: This is a risky magic trick and I do not advise anyone to cut their hand off!

When you are setting the gaff turn the device sideways so the audience doesn't see the top hole with your fingers in it and the blade not being seen going up.

good point! i think there's an argument being made for doing it like this, with good misconception it's very hard to spot. however, i wanted to show how it works in this video, so i needed to do it like this anyways :)

@@jonanas.mp4 I think you meant to say "misdirection"
I think you should give a good demonstration and only then show the handling.

Hey! No worries, this was not an attempt at explaining the trick. You can kinda guess it by watching the shape of the blade, and how it twists out of the handle in the beginning. Also watch what my offhand is doing in the end. If you still can't figure it out, there's plenty more videos on TH-cam explaining it very well! :)
