@@theoricus387 As someone who is team jess, I'd love to have a respectful conversation about this because I don't believe he was trouble I think he had a traumatic childhood. And while I don't believe that excuses his actions, I think it gives us how he ended up where he was at 17 and just how difficult it was for him to grow into the person he was by season 6.

@@sungkhiun I think Jess was a hormonal teenage boy with a crush and did what most people attempt to do as hormonal teenager correctly.
Not many people make edits for them. It's always just Jess and logan. Glad someone other then me likes these two despite how they ended.

He was so patient with her, even when she treated him like dirt and then left him. He was still there for her. She played with his feelings, broke his heart, and as soon as he was happy without her, she took advantage of him, ruined his marriage, abandoned him, and he still gets labeled the bad guy. /:

Dean wasn't paitient with Rory. in season 1 he broke uo with Rory for not saying I love you back. in season 2 he threw a fit cause Rory was stressing out about school and yelling at her. how is that patient.

He wasn't that possessive in the beginning but the writers turned him into a dumb jerk so people would root for Jess

Dean was the best boyfriend for Rory. I still love them and preferred them the entire time when she was with Jess then Logan. These two deserved better. I adore this edit.

I was so heartbroken by the way she did Dean. I stopped watching the show when Jared left. But then I finished it when I heard he was gonna be in the revival. And he was there for like 2 measly seconds.

I always thought that dean was too possessive, but rewatching the show with that in mind, I realized that it was rory the problem all along.
Dean deserved better although it was the best ship of the show in my opinion, everybody talks about Dean being too jaleous and everything but in my opinion, Jess was the worst, he didn’t really care about Rory in season 2-3, I only liked him in season 5 and the revival, Jess was a coward, and he was lost, he wasn’t good for Rory. Dean was safe and great and I am so happy that there is still people who love them because when they broke up I was in such pain that I had to stop watching GG for a bit hahaha

Jesse was flaky he didn't love himself so he cares for rory but he didnt have the maturity then dean was sweet though but rory waiting for him to get married then pursuing him sigh a mess but I was happy when dean moved on he deserved better and Jesse when he finally got himself together I was happy for him as well him and rory always had that in common they did understand eachother despite her grandparents upbringing and I just don't like Logan that just seemed like someone her grandparents picked out and so entitled ..

Felicity Smoak and Will Graham fan it’s hard to say but he definely deserved better, she was awful to him and the worst is that she didn’t even notice it, being awful on purpose is a thing but doing it without realising is worst I think... she was used with everybody being on her side so she never truly understood her mistakes, until the revival I guess, and it kinda hurts because if she just did things better, they could’ve end up together...

Dean deserved so much more then what he was given. Dean obviously loved and cared for Rory so much and Rory took it all for granted. Dean literally made her a car from scratch and she threw everything away like it meant absolutely nothing. Even after Dean and Rory broke up Dean was always there for Rory no matter what.
they deserved to be endgame:( (& i’m not just saying that because he’s jared padalecki 😌) even though i loved logan, her & dean were just right. i’m sure if jess respected the fact rory had a boyfriend, they would’ve stayed together.

I just started watching this a day ago and I’m on season 2 and I heard she dated other poeple like Jess that’s disgusting Rory and dean were the cutest

Wait... I'm actually about to cry over that line "taught me what safe feels like" ...because yeah, Dean had problems and honestly marrying Lindsay and then cheating with Rory were awful choices, but Dean gets blamed for things Rory did TO him first. She kept making eyes at Jess, and he's not allowed to get jealous? Nope, that's not fair to him. Even though I'm Team Logan in the end, Dean and Rory had such a sweet first love that ended so bitterly... It was just so innocent that I don't think it could survive once it was tainted by all the cheating.

Everyone wants to make Dean the bad guy when Rory and Jess crapped all over him. He didn't deserve the treatment he got with Rory and Jess making googol eyes all the time and Rory ghosting him. Dean was the perfect boyfriend for Rory while they were in high school but she did out grow him once she went to college. She was never "man" enough to tell him. She really hurt him multiple times and it was not his fault.

I feel like rory and dean were great together. dean knew the customs of rory and lorelai so well, he just fit right in. he was also super nice and loyal when they were together?? As an Italian fan, I'm really sorry for Dean. He has always been a very mature boy for his age, above all a hard worker ready to sacrifice himself for love.
In various comments on web I read that he was not a good boyfriend because he was jealous, aggressive, toxic: I think that any sane person would be jealous of Rory's behavior. She just loved to stay in ambiguous situations, accusing Dean of being too paranoid... but he was right in both cases: first with Jesse, then with Logan. Dean understood so fastly that Rory liked Jess and Logan (and viceversa) at their first meeting. And still, there are people who accuse him to be jealous and aggressive...It seems that Rory just love to play at "being the naive girl", but in truth she is attracted by rebels guys.
I think Dean was best for Rory in the time they were together, but I think they outgrew each other. Rory wanted to travel and not be stuck in one place and Dean wanted something stable with someone who would be there all the time and in the end she couldn’t be there for him. Dean couldn’t let go of his first love and Rory wanted to make up for the fact that in the end of their relationship she treated him like dirt and left him for something new because she got curious by the shiny new toy.

rory isn't a horrible person, she was young and stupid. and yea the way dean broke up with her both times, in front of everyone is wrong. and i feel he is a jealous type, but i also think he deserves better. In the very begining he was a really good boyfriend. it was jess who made him jealous and he began to have trust issues.
@@graciz0 i’m talking about later in life rory, dropping out of yale rory, season 7 rory in general she puts her foot into her grandparents world and it changed her but mostly it was the writers fault cuz they thought they madre her too perfect so they ended up destroying her character

I just started this show about a month ago and I’m on season 7 .. but I don’t get why the fandom didn’t like dean . He was patient , caring and protected her . I totally get that they weren’t fully compatible compared to Jess but he was there for her and loved her and the way she cheated on him and left him made me so mad that I hated Jess . Dean deserved better from Rory

Rory didn't understand what love was. She confused love with a silly crush. During her trip to Washington, she says to Paris that love is when you have the same tastes in books, music and someone is unpredictable (wrong, sister!). Well, later on season 4, she explained to Lane it wasn't exactly this and she remembered how Dean was always there for her and how she trust him, etc... She had to loose him to learn that. So sad =/
