I forgot to mention A Darker Shade of Magic as honorable mention 😅 I should have also added Laura Lee Guhrke but oh well. Anyway, which were your favorite books in 2024? I want to make a list of books to read this year, so recommendations are welcomed! 😊
Hello Laura! ❤ Do you know Rebecca Rathe? I really like her writing style but I'm on the fence sometimes with some of her books. If you know her and can recommend me any authors with a similar writing style, I'd really appreciate it. If you haven't read any of hers, I recommend you give "Choke up" a try. By the way, did you get a chance to read "Kiss a Villain" by Mia Darling? If you did, I hope this story was a surprising mafia book for you🫶🏻 Thanks for sharing!
Hi, Raquel!💛 Sorry, I haven't tried anything by Rebecca Rathe. I don't read a lot of dark romances. Ohhh I've checked 'Choke up' and that's a trope I like, thanks for the rec!!😊 I'd heard about the first one on that series I think but I don't do well with coach-athlete (or anything similar to student-teacher), but I'm game for best friend's brother 😎✌🏼 I'll try that one! I haven't tried Kiss a Villain. I've checked it but I'm not sure about the mafia romance, I really dislike the trope. It's difficult for me to differentiate the problems regarding mafia in real life with the fiction I'm reading. But I might read it, it's been a while since I tried mafia romance, but please don't hate me if I don't like it!! Thanks for the recs! 🥰
@bookswithlau Hello Laura! You're very welcome! ☺️ "Choke Up" is not that dark as far as I remember. I hope you will enjoy it if you give it a try! I'll never judge/hate you for your dislikessss hahaha🩷 By the way, if you don't mind me asking are you Spanish? Because I am🫶🏻😂
