Ben Johnson and Aaron Glen spent more time prepping for their interviews than game planning. Cliff Kingsbury denied all interviews until the season was over, and his team is moving on.
Did the blade dance in the in zone, everybody buffed up singing walk in your trap take over your trap!! Smh this hurts. Goff not the guy!!! And Arnold will never be disciplined and just do his job! Js
@waitaminute7257 they played so well they damn near overcame the turnovers. I can talk about a call that went their way, but the Pick 6 play that that wasn't called back for the should have been penalty that put Golf out of the game a while, represents a likely 14-point swing, the final margin. This result was just a case of "any given sunday," something that happens to the best of teams on a regular basis. No team is immune. For my money blaming goff or the coach or the loss of Robertson is unworthy, and I'll say the Lions kicked ass out there more than enough to win, it came down to "just the way the ball bounces." There is little to worry about. There IS luck involved in football. Where luck is missing there is no great fault in the team. If this is controversial I don't care, I just don't think it should be. No team is perfect and many is the time Super Bowl winners required obvious luck to win, even be it Mahomes or Brady or Montana, or you name the team. Seeing this Lions team is knowing how fine they are, so keep the faith. How do you suppose we did so well with all those injuries? That resulted from a staff picking players well, deep into the bench.
I've stated several times over the course of the season that sometimes Ben Johnson gets "smartest guy in the room" syndrome and gets too cute. The Jamo pass trick play down by 10 is a perfect example.
I was there watching and said the same shit. Don’t get sexy with plays like that when you’re down. You wanna do it if you’re up 25 on them fuck it go ahead
Yeah but if it had worked you wouldn't make that comment, OR if they lose without attempting some trickery, you're commenting on why Ben let the season end without trying something crazy.
@c1985paul Please don't assume you know what my comments would be if something happened a particular way. Even when the trick plays and 4th down conversions in scoring position have worked I have questioned their merit. We weren't struggling to move the ball against their defense, so the trick play was unnecessary at best, and reckless in that situation.
it wouldnt have helped i blame your fans for talkin so much shit we actually like the lions yall are us but the fans the whole week they kept talkin like your superbowl was penciled n and our player got hurt too next man up no excuses
@@Warrior-Of-JuDaHas a Lions fan I was scared going into this game. For whatever reason it seems as if AG can't stop a running QB offense and Jayden Daniels is a freak, best QB in that class hands down!
It wasnt Jamos fault. It was Ben Johnsons fault. These coordinators have had their heads in the future since the end of the season. Why did ben pass the ball on a 3rd and 2 in the redzone after the plays Gibbs was pushing out? Blame the distracted coordinators.
Bull, Jamo was supposed to run and only throw if there was a busted coverage. I agree with you though that BJ should have never allowed Jamo to make that decision in the first place.
No body has been able to stop Jayden Daniels this year, hes the real deal. Why is everyone saying how Lions collapsed? Washington played an out standing game, they brought their A game, give them some credit. Lions were great this year, they ran into a very hot Commanders team that has been on a roll with a historically good rookie QB. Dont be so hard on Lions, they are one of the best teams in the NFL, they will be there for years to come, it just wasnt the year for them. Unfortunately they had a lot of defensive injuries that have hurt them so my hats off to Lions. Im a Washington fan but I have been rooting for Lions all year and longer, they are a very respectable good team so guys they will be there, they will be in the super-bowl soon.
@ I was one of the Lions fans who saw Commanders as a real threat. They went 12-5 and won a playoff game. That’s not good team… that’s a top tier team. I was surprised to see them as 9.5 point underdogs. I put a moneyline bet on Commanders to win because I saw an opportunity to get paid nicely for getting my heart broken if that were to happen, which it did. That bet worked out, but I so much would have preferred to have lost that.
@cl5619 i completely understand the bet. I'd probably do the same thing. And, I am a Commanders fan who started the year wanting Detroit to win the SuperBowl. I didn't think we'd be in divisional playoff games! I said to myself straight up, "I'd be cool with 4 to 7, maybe 8 wins." And progressional improvement of Jayden Daniels. BUT HOLY F!! This is nuts! This is a hodgepodge roster. Truly a "Cinderella" story if there is one in the NFL. I was hoping Detroit and Buffalo in the SuperBowl, and at that point, I just wanted a good game. I'm 49 and grew up with Barry Sanders, Herman Moore, as my idols. Besides Skins players, of course. And I always felt bad for Buffalo. They were a SuperBowl winless dynasty. They caught that proverbial "lightning" in a bottle. I hope it keeps going. They're definitely playing over their talent. At this point, I just don't want to be embarrassed. And they won't be embarrassing. Just saying there's NO pressure at all!!!
As a Commanders fan, you guys are literally the last team in the league I would want us to eliminate from the playoffs, and if you had beaten us I would have cheered you on to the super bowl. I know that's small comfort, but look at it this way--now the Cowboys are the only team not to make a Championship game in the NFC in almost 30 years.
Yep. I was fully prepared to accept a loss from the Lions . They have been building a solid team and I really thought this was their year to advance . Goes to show you what happens when you don't protect the ball . I think the Commanders have started off the rebuild really well and they do have some area's they need to improve on . I certainly did not realistically expect them to be in the Championship game .
It’s a Great achievement to beat one of the so called best offensive teams and the Commanders D was elite you struggled to stop our run game but flustering Goff is how you beat us. I wish we could’ve let Bridgewater finish the game because the hit Goff took messed him up. As a Lions fan I will root for the Commanders. But you have a tough game against a running Quarterback and Barkley so I wish you well.
@@righteousisthelord180I dont think the chiefs beat the Bills and I hope they dont. I for real wont watch it this year with Swift again F*** that shit I’d rather watch gay porn
Now I do truly believe that those guys taking interviews before a huge game like this was a mistake. They both got out coached! It was kinda selfish to me.
There is no “I” in Team- NFL needs to correct their interview rules. Of course they had less time to focus on the game at hand if they’re going about interviewing and multiple interviews at that ridiculous. I’m sure Coach Quinn and his coordinators didn’t have multiple interviews anyway. They couldn’t figure out the defense. A lot of this is as a result of the coordinators coupled with the injuries. Just heartbreaking.
@@naghme29No franchise should be able to conduct ANY interviews with ANY candidates until the season is completely over and that includes the post season. They should think about making the draft a little bit later as well. Maybe do it in May instead of April so these teams don't have to feel like they have to rush to get their coach or GM in the building.
This is why I don’t like coaches getting interviewed during this time! Both coaches seemed like their heads weren’t in the game. And Ben got too cute out there.
We need to start demanding a league rule restricting all coaching interviews to occur after the Super Bowl. Btw, this would give the league an off season news cycle, where normally it’s dead.
The other back breaker is not taking a timeout with 12 men on the field on a 4th down attempt in the red zone. That is a coaching blunder that cannot happen in a critical situation.
@@rrover70my thoughts too… i’m torn on this because yes, you have a better chance of stopping them on 4th & 2… but nothing up to that point has made us think that we would be able to stop them and the game was definitely shaping up as a game where you would need the timeouts at the end. Very likely could have burned the time out plus given up the touchdown.
@@rrover70 They were already getting stopped on that drive. Hence Washington having to go for it on 4th and 2. Detroit was only down by 3 at this point. Huge missed opportunity for the Lions right here. This penalty was the begging of the end.
You're exactly right it's time for him to take over QB that's what kind of QB we need ASAP going forward because Jared Goff ceiling has already been reached there's no further he could get he's not a gunslinger he's just a bar manager quarterback but he tried to be a gunslinger the game against Washington and it cost us dearly try to match what Washington quarterback was able to do, but we know that ain't him Jared Goff should have just managed the game pick what the defense gave him instead of trying to keep Pace with Washington quarterback
Look guys I’m a commanders fan and I know it’s never good to lose but it’s just a game, beating the commanders does not automatically give you the SB u still have to win the next game, then the next game. It’s painful to hear some of takes here but there’s always next year and considering what this team has been for years till Dan Campbell came on board you guys are going places everybody is talking about the Detroit Lions and the SB will come sooner than u think so take heart there’s always next year ✌️
This lions team reminds me of 2019 Ravens. Both teams have the best record in the NFL, great offensive play with Lamar Jackson and Jared Goff, aggressive coaches with John Harbaugh and Dan Campbell, but both teams got too cocky and the commanders/ Titans destroyed them at their home stadiums.
I totally agree with the game changer on Amik being injured on the second play, took some oxygen out of our defensive dudes. That was a nasty break too.
We are burying the lead. Defense wins championships. That Washington Defense complimented the Washington Offense. Our Defense was already decimated and got worse with the Amik injury. You can’t keep relying solely on your offense to beat elite teams, especially in the playoffs.
That's right even one turnover in the playoffs can make you lose a playoff game, the Lions have five turnovers you can't beat nobody like that and no matter who the team is. You don't turn the ball over you protect the ball
Jamo needs to help the QB out there. He needs to fight for the ball, instead he expected to catch it in the stomach and because of it he allowed the CB to undercut the route.
@@acady5164anyone that has played or coached football knows the way a CB defends that route is to undercut the throw. That’s why that ball needs to be further in front like Brady said. 100% on Goff.
I agree. Bridgewater was a place holder. It’s like Hooker evidently hasn’t earned Johnson’s trust in practice to play on game day. I’ve heard Dan say they aren’t going to play someone who wasn’t prepared to play, but really how many snaps did Bridgewater get that made him the backup? Hooker’s value as trade bait for defensive talent appears to be minimal at best.
Please go become a Vikings fan. Goff had a bad day. He led this team to a 15-2 record. Are you smoking something. The problem was our defense was not able to lift up the offense when they needed it. This was a team failure. Goff is our guy if you dont.like it go somewhere else.
This the most deflating loss in my 41 years on earth. I know about all the other bad ones because i was here for those too but THIS one just feels so much different.
I agree you arent a Goff hater if you asking for nore from a veteran QB. I saw too many deer in headlights moments. Even when it was safe for him to run when no ones open he sits there like a deer in headlights. Have i given up on him know, but we have to have a back up QB we trust. I agree with the DC constructive criticism too at the end of the day hes the HC and he could have taken over. Easier daid than done in the moment, but DC has to keep his emotions in check so he can read the room clearly in the moment. Props to La Porta for that amazing catch that was a poor throw and props to Teddy for being cool as a cucumber and stepping up. Jared Goff needs to be comfortable and not pressured to play well. He didnt look good in Vikes game either. He doesn't handle pressure well.
I feel like the best interview is game performance. If the Super Bowl is on the line, the time to interview will be there. You need to be locked in and focused on the mission, making sure your guys are locked in, the whole thing.
Born n raised 7 mile west side Hartwell. Born in Grace Hospital this hurts past all the greenbay loses with Roger and all the officials during megA from days. I was in prison going thru it in my cell watching years and years of games BUT THIS GAME SUCKS TO LOSE THIS WAY. Luv to ALL THE REAL!!! Lions fans From!!! DETROIT I pray we stay together and keep building but money talk bullshit walks
After 40 years of football Ive seen this before multiple times..and experienced it as an athlete. Its a saturday game, afer a bye, everything is off and weird, th elights dont look right, the things you normally do dont go right...and youve been off verses a team that hasnt stopped playing since the end of the season...this has happened multiple times
The loss of our starting left guard allowed for pressure up the middle. Mahogany was beat continuously on passing plays. Zeitler is a very good player. The fumble by Goff was a direct result of Mahogany getting beat one on one. Number one reason for our offense sputtering during this game. The defense had no answers for the Commanders offense scheme. The Lions need play makers on the line of scrimmage. Injuries definitely tanked the defense. Score thirty one points and lose by 14 points.
The NFL shouldn’t let other teams interview coaches while they still in the playoffs!!🤦🏽♂️ Our coaches was too busy interviewing for head coaching jobs they wasn’t prepared for this game!!🤬🤬🤬🤦🏽♂️
They could have said nope wait until after the season is over with Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn could have told them that so I wouldn't be surprised that somehow played a factor
Goff was brutal, worst game as a Lion. His play set a bad tone. Coaching was brutal, starting Monty was stupid. It was predictable. Everything with the team just felt off, it’s hard to explain. In no way am I giving up on them but this one hurts bad. I feel cheated because everything was lined up perfectly for a Superbowl run.
Bro I am 40 years old I have been a fan for 35+ year there is people who have been fans for way longer than me. You can’t sit over here and give us shit. Most of these fans have been waiting all their lives to win A Super Bowls. We haven’t even sniffed a Fucking Super Bowl for at least 75+ years. For the love of god generation have past and you want to sit here and criticize us. People are fucking tired of losing, we have been the laugh in stock of the league for a very long time and they’re tired of it. The product on field was garbage there no sense of urgency with this organization. How many more years you want them to feel like losers because they don’t have it in them anymore they are pushing back. Towards the end of game you see a ton of people that they are up there on the age. They don’t have many years left in this planet excuse them for feeling product it’s good enough.
In Chicago, we were actually rooting for the Lions. we feel your pain! Well......., except that we "Low Key" kind of wanted you to lose, so that we can get Ben Johnson in here sooner so he can find housing and start working on his staff. Bear Down!!!
With our D's inability to get a stop, the pick 6 was the real back breaker. It also didn't help that Glasgow was getting beat like a rented mule all night long.
I’ve lived in Detroit for 12 years. Born and raised in Chicago. I love this team. This one stings. This is coming from someone who had Cubs season tickets for 30 years and couldn’t afford to keep them when I moved here. It took 108 years for the Cubbies to break their curse. So hang in there fellow Lions fans. Hope springs eternal….
The one play that changed the whole game was the 3rd and one in the red zone and they go 5 wide....what?? If they run the ball and go up 14-3... The second interception probably doesn't happen because Goff is not pressing....and the interception at the end of the first half probably doesn't happen either because again he doesn't need to press....the ripple affect of that terrible coaching call changed everything....
As a Redskins/Commanders fan, this is the 1st time in my entire life (55 yrs) that I have honestly felt BAD for our opponent. I have been feeling the Lions for the last couple of years since Dan Campbell arrived. I *wanted* them to succeed! Detroit's fan base deserves this! But it was MY team playing them this weekend.... I watched Dan's post-game presser and hearing how emotional he was got to me.... I was tearing up with him. It was heart-wrenching. I hope this is just a stepping stone for Detroit and that they come back even stronger, unless its vs. the Commanders.
i beg the differ sir they brought this on themselves as soon as they knew they was playin us they started yappin i blame you fans and this was personal with all the ben Johnson crap he shouldnt have been there anyway but thats what happens when you shun the greatest rookie qb of all time this was supposed to be a blowout according to the lions with the commentators as well

Give them hell, Will. Don't be fair weather fans, only there during the good times. We're all heartbroken, but man-up Lion's fans. Support your team when the going is tough!
Thank you Will for pointing out the problem with these new fans! I have said that this entire season. The energy at Ford Field this year, while great, felt different. I, like you, was so pissed to see the droves of “fans” leaving! Who does that? We know who. Those who are not true fans! True fans DO NOT leave the stadium until after the clock hits 00:00 …PERIOD!!! Thank you for always keeping it real. Your podcast is the ONLY podcast that I have watched after last night’s loss.
@@seanmorris6033 I agree with you! I think the Lions have to take a hard look at Hendon Hooker starting immediately next season mini camps and training camp.
Injuries were an excuse for not winning the Super Bowl, but let’s be honest nobody thought we were loosing this game despite the injuries. We will be back next year with a vengeance. This offense is special
I am in Washington and the Skins are my team. I'm glad we won, but I sincerely want to say that I feel your pain...and I do mean that. I was both happy and sad at the same time because I know the years of frustration the Lion's have had. Let's hope the Skins can finish the job. It is no consolation, but at least you could then say that you got beat by the Superbowl winning team.
Why haven't we worked Hooker into getting some real experience? Maybe he isn't the guy that is the answer, but I feel like never giving him the chance to play and grow means we will just never know on this team. I personally never liked putting all our eggs in the basket of Jared Goff the bridge QB. Our defense got torched. Anzalone and Branch looked great. The o-line did not look normal. Not calling a time out when we had the Commanders were on the goal line and our defense drew a penalty for 12 men on the field was a childish coaching error. The whole team just didn't come to play.
I've been interacting with fan bases each week this whole season as a Commanders fan. Outside of one or two noisy internet personalities, I must admit Lions fans have easily been the classiest fans I have encountered all year. You guys are kindred spirits and if it wasn't us, I would be rooting for you guys. I am sure the Lions will be a force to reckon with for at least the next few seasons. Look forward to another fantastic game next year.
As an old life long Skins fan I can say I respect your fan base to the utmost and wish we did this to any other team but yours. You all deserve a title and it will come. Peace!
Detroit fans were in denial. I had plenty of back and forth in some of these comment sections and my main argument was, the Lions' defense is terrible. A lot of you did not respect the fact that the commanders had not lost a game since Nov. 24th and was on a six game winning streak coming into Detroit.
My man. Lions fan here. I saw this one coming as clear as I foresaw the Biden debate disaster. Everyone was so confident and I did two minutes of homework. Daniels plays BETTER against the blitz and run. That’s all Aaron Glenn knows. It was doomed on D. Then I listened to some PFF guys and one said “what if Goff has a bad game?” Ugh. Anyway go on to beat Philly and dethrone the Chiefs. I want to see Daniels on those State Farm commercials. 😊
I AM DONE! $250 Million QB throws 2 picks and fumbles once. Ben Johnson has Jaymo throwing passes, WTF??? I AM DONE! Been a fan for 44 years and CANNOT do this anymore! Call me when y'all make it to the Super Bowl! F-ing JOKE!
We need to focus on Henden more he could be our future. We was a Heisman in college for god sakes. I don’t think we can win with Jarred. There is a reason why he was a cast off from LA. Sean McVay. Saw it. You can’t win with this guy. The hole fan base was behind him cheering and losing their voices for what, for nothing. We need to see and work with Hendon closely. Let him get first team reps. He is going to make mistakes but how does he handle them should be the question
Good honest show in difficult times & was worried that in the divisional or conference game we would come unstuck due to the injuries & how much work & efforts we put to get where we did & today was on goff but I still was with the until 0445 in the morning (in England) & roll on next season.
Any team would be smart to take advantage of any good players not in the game. It's sad he got hurt, that's the worst way to lose someone but it happened
NO ONE is talking about what matters the most here: The Ford Family made a LOT of money this season, and stand to make a LOT of money next year as well….
As a Lions fan I feel so numb right now I just can't go on about my day but I really got to try to put my hurt feelings behind and will try to go on they always say it's not the end of the world but it sure as hell feels like it
I am not a Lions fan but to be honest with you as a person on the outside looking in, it was very impressive how they were still winning with all the injuries. I didn't think they would make it this far when the injuries started piling up. To me, it is a testament to how good the team is and how much depth they have.
Goff is an average QB playing for a great team that made him look better than he is. Goff got a $212 million contract extension for getting us to the playoffs. We got to the playoffs, so quite whinning. Goff choked in the SB W/Rams, choked in the 49ers game, and choked against the Commanders. 🤣😂🤣🚶♂️➡️🚶♂️➡️🚶♂️➡️🏛
Jared has been playing at an elite level for the last three years. He’s statistically been better for the Lions than Stafford has. As for his turnovers; a strip sack from behind isn’t completely his fault, the second interception before the half was right on the money to Jamo-but the Commanders defender made a better play on the ball than Jamo did. The first interception was on him. It looked like he knew he shouldn’t have thrown it.
@gallopingLake6 All that doesn't matter if you choke when it counts. You can't argue against fact (Rams SB, 49ers Game, Commanders Game). Keep telling yourself that and cheering JAR-ED GOFF, JAR-EG GOFF, and be happy with a playoff appearance because Goff will never win a Super Bowl for Detroit. It doesn't make me happy saying that, but I believe what I see. Lions are a great team, and makes Goff look better than he is. 🤣🚶♂️➡️🤣🚶♂️➡️🤣🚶♂️➡️🏛
Defence coach and offence coach to bussy looking for job next year and they didn't prepare the team at all 45 points defence crazzy at home against rookie quarterback same old MF lions
You are delusional if you think with injuries? They weren’t beating any top tier team with that D. You can cry about Goff all you want, but that beat up D is cooked against any of the top AFC teams. May as well lose now vs embarrassed in a championship game.
Lots of fresh memories of Goff's turnovers last night and thats fair. But questioning whether he can get us a superbowl ignores that he got us to the NFC Championship last season and he was not the issue in that loss.
You going to blame the fans! That's some load of crap! We spend too much on tickets we show up. We arnt happy with Goff throwing the ball to the other team like they were his team. The players make millions to play. Play better! Coach better!
totally agree with Will that all this coach-chess hurt us..too many distractions. Even the St. Brown podcast could've taken a couple weeks off i'da been okay with that...*just discovered and sub'd with you guys earlier and i appreciate your work this season. Nice job Steve and Will. #GoLions
Goff is not the man to take the Lions to the big game; the Detroit Lions' playoff loss to the Washington Commanders is a stark reminder that some quarterbacks simply can't rise to the occasion when the stakes are highest. Jared Goff, for all his regular-season competence, has consistently struggled to elevate his play in the postseason. Despite flashes of brilliance, he lacks the killer instinct and poise under pressure that define elite playoff QBs- missing key throws, folding under defensive pressure, failing to lead clutch drives, turning the ball over 3x, Goff once again proved he's not the guy to carry a team to championship glory. Some QBs thrive in January, but Goff seems destined to remain just good enough to get there, but no further.
Ben Johnson screwed you guys. The fact that he didn't give Gibbs 30 touches who was gashing our poor run defense as well taking the ball outa Goffs hands. Too much trickery
3 weeks ago the conventional wisdom was that Detroit need to score 40+ if they were to win because the D is so depleted. Somehow the narrative changed because of the Viking game and there became a false hope in the D. Then when Robertson went out early it was too much to overcome. Davis is good but most NFL QBs look good against 2nd & 3rd string talent which is what the Lions put on the field. You can be successful with smoke and mirrors for maybe a game or two but eventually things fall apart. 2nd & 3rd stringers are there because they are inconsistent. Lions did great with what they had.
They Lions looked woefully unprepared in this game especially on the defensive side of the ball. How many times did Zach Ertz easily catch passes right over the middle without our linebackers sitting in zone challenging him? It was a total clown show. Lions linebackers squat like the have a loaded diaper and sit right in one spot instead of take the guy that's in their zone and then passing him off if his route progresses to the next zone. Instead, they sit there looking at the QB fixated on him oblivious to Zach Ertz running right by them. It was pathetic to watch.
I stayed to the game was over and ALL the players left off the field. Will is RIGHT about the Fairweather fans. I hated that. I'm proud of the Lions but right now I'm just hurt. No game next week
I became a new football fan during the 2024 season, inspired by a winning team: the Detroit Lions! However, I promised myself that I would support the team not just in victory but throughout every game. I truly appreciate the passion that the Detroit Lions bring to the field. I appreciate both of your perspectives on this loss, as I believe your insights are grounded in solid information and, more importantly, come from a true football fan. Love the show and will look forward to more content!
Thank you guys for putting this out. I couldn’t agree more. You’re my favorite lions channel. First, I’m sad, I’m mad, I’m shocked, and I’m sick to my stomach over that game. Steve, I am also starting to question if Goff can get it done. He’s amazing, but is he a Super Bowl QB? Yes, he can win 15, but We can’t afford having a day like that on a playoff game. we can’t handle 5 turnovers in one game. I’m concerned about his consistency. One thing that wasn’t mentioned was trusting jamo to throw a deep ball. Jamo has a history of bad decision-making. I am shocked we put the ball in his hands for a play like that. I agree that the coaches kept doubling down. Our coaches are innovative (great) but we need to be able to adapt and change it up if things are not working out; we didn’t seem to do that. Lastly, Steve, I couldn’t agree more about the fans leaving early. Show some respect! What message does that send to the players? Have some loyalty! Unfortunately those “fans” probably don’t watch these videos because they are not ride or die. They can give me their tickets! I’ll be there and stay through the whole shit show. Much love to the players and coaches. I’m devastated for them. Praying for the day they prove the naysayers wrong.
The game management is on the head coach. Once it was clear the Lions could not stop Washington, the goal should have been to keep the Lions offense on the field. The way to do that is short and intermediate passing and running. The long ball that was picked early was just stupid. Especially when the run was working so well. The trick play was absurd. Taking the ball out of a 50M QB and having a receiver make game-changing picks when you are only down 10 and driving, just stupid. Recklessly aggressive is great until it isn't. When your team has way more talent, you do not need to take risks this is basic and obvious. The HC failed the team with poor game management.
I disagree on Goff being able to win us a SB. He lost big games in LA and now he’s lost big games here. Am I saying he’s not a good QB no he is good. But if we look at the league the days of the stationary pocket passer is gone. You need to have both the pocket ability and the mobile ability to extend plays in which Goff does not have.
@markhall2405 None of the guys like have even BEEN to a Super Bowl🤣 You sound like a weenie with that logic...Goff has been to a Super Bowl and a NFC Championship game

@@Gangus525golf is the guy and hopefully and likely will remain so. Loss or not, he's a proven rare commodity very much on the plus side
I've stated several times over the course of the season that sometimes Ben Johnson gets "smartest guy in the room" syndrome and gets too cute. The Jamo pass trick play down by 10 is a perfect example.
Absolutely, the worst play call of the game.
Jamo doesn’t yet have the maturity to handle the responsibilities of that trick play.
4 ints a fumble and 0 defensive stops? 0 sacks? And we expect to win?
Johnson was padding his show reel. Just give it to gibbs
They did get one defensive stop in the beginning of the game and that was due to the bitched handoff from Mariotta on the 4th and two.
I’m ready to see both coordinators leave.
This interview process, you cannot say it was a not a distraction that cost the team

It wasnt Jamos fault. It was Ben Johnsons fault. These coordinators have had their heads in the future since the end of the season. Why did ben pass the ball on a 3rd and 2 in the redzone after the plays Gibbs was pushing out? Blame the distracted coordinators.
Exactly, too much time preparing for interviews instead of the game planning.
Bull, Jamo was supposed to run and only throw if there was a busted coverage. I agree with you though that BJ should have never allowed Jamo to make that decision in the first place.
this!
If you are that dominant why do you need all this cute crap
@briansarah2745 agree. once and a while ok, but not multiple times per game.
Too many TURNOVERS
That Jamo pass play was the worst call in football history, no reason to call that play.
The worst plays was Goff 6 picks. Not JAMO!!

I was in shock, how they could not stop or pressure Daniels.
If I can follow a 0-16 Detroit Lions team, I can follow a 15-2 Detroit Lions team.
Lions inability to put pressure on QB without the blitz is a major weakness. Injuries killed this season. It just took this long to do it.
Commanders fan as well, and I didn't think we'd go this far. Detroit is who I planned on rooting for. 😮 But low and behold, we smacked them down. 😮
Go on my man. Defeat the Eagles and go on to dethrone Mahomes. Time for a new star QB and you have him. That dude is impressive!
@@righteousisthelord180I dont think the chiefs beat the Bills and I hope they dont. I for real wont watch it this year with Swift again F*** that shit I’d rather watch gay porn
Same. I was ready to root for Lions. Just happy we got here let alone progressed.
@ so true smh
They fell for the okie doke, and let those teams distract them they never wanted to hire them
Absolutely was a distraction
This is why I don’t like coaches getting interviewed during this time! Both coaches seemed like their heads weren’t in the game. And Ben got too cute out there.
We need to start demanding a league rule restricting all coaching interviews to occur after the Super Bowl. Btw, this would give the league an off season news cycle, where normally it’s dead.

I agree but I bet they still would've converted.

Gibbs to me just solidified himself as the best RB in the league

There's a RB named Saquon Barkley who runs for 200 yards and 2 TD's a game that will take issue with that assessment.

Didn’t you hear the 7 time superbowl champ(Brady)? Goff needed to put that ball more in front of Jamo. He’s not to blame!
Jamo ran a bad route when Goff throw that pick in the end zone!
Jamo needs to help the QB out there. He needs to fight for the ball, instead he expected to catch it in the stomach and because of it he allowed the CB to undercut the route.

Goff showed why the Rams dumped him. They felt that they had a ceiling with him under center...and the Lions saw evidence of that last night.
Please go become a Vikings fan. Goff had a bad day. He led this team to a 15-2 record. Are you smoking something. The problem was our defense was not able to lift up the offense when they needed it. This was a team failure. Goff is our guy if you dont.like it go somewhere else.

The loss of our starting left guard allowed for pressure up the middle. Mahogany was beat continuously on passing plays. Zeitler is a very good player. The fumble by Goff was a direct result of Mahogany getting beat one on one. Number one reason for our offense sputtering during this game. They weren't winning a Superbowl with all the injuries on defense but I didn't expect them to get bounced right away either.
I am not a Lions fan but to be honest with you as a person on the outside looking in, it was very impressive how they were still winning with all the injuries. I didn't think they would make it this far when the injuries started piling up. To me, it is a testament to how good the team is and how much depth they have.
Very well said
0-4 vs Washington in the playoffs.
3rd&1 you should have ran the ball. You have 2 downs to get 1 yard and your averaging 7 yards per carry.
The injuries on defense caught up with the Lions plain and simple.
We even came out after halftime and started out with Monty. That did not make sense
True we lost basically our whole starting d line an we couldn't pressure jd5 bro is a beast
@@jaybrick8973 a healthy D would give us a few extra possessions easily.
And Jared Goff is also cooked in high pressure moments. It's a pressure cooker for him
I feel like Manty coming back hurt the team. Gibbs should had got the ball way more than what he did.
Stop giving them your money.
There's a term we use here in Detroit when referring to the Lions (haven't heard it yet this season though)...... SAME OLD LIONS
totally agree with Will that all this coach-chess hurt us..too many distractions.
Yes, interviewing during a bye week (even virtually) was a terrible idea while still in the playoffs.
Probably why the players didn't show up. They did their own form of "quiet quitting."
Goff was in the Super Bowl in only his 3rd year...meaning he had to WIN big games to get there dumb@ss
@@HuChing-ob4kk Please...Goff got 0 TD's in the Superbowl he played in. 🤣🤣🤣
@markhall2405 None of the guys like have even BEEN to a Super Bowl🤣 You sound like a weenie with that logic...Goff has been to a Super Bowl and a NFC Championship game
@@HuChing-ob4kkcut it out bro, Jared Goff is never going to be a super bowl winning quarterback or a quarterback Who can win you big games in the playoffs when the pressure is highest if his team isn't showing out with him. If the team is doing average Jared Goff will do slightly worse
@@HuChing-ob4kk dumbass these nuts!
Those assistant coaches are to blame , more worried about their head coach interviews!!
Will, I appreciate what you said towards the end about the fair weather fans and boujee fans. I felt that brotha! I've also seen a lot of people making a lot of derogatory comments towards Jamo knowing his mom has a presence in the Twitter community and seeing the comments. It's nasty work!
HOPE AMIK IS GOING TO BE OK
Wasn't just Amik we also lost Iffy at that time . Putting Norris and Vildor on the field. Norris only played like 1 snap during the season.
