I'm from Michigan and I've watched my Lions since I was 10. I'm now 56 and for the first time in my life, I think they have a great shot at winning the SB. Not just this year either. This team is built for the long haul. By the way, absolutely love your channel! You show GRIT as well!!!

We are about to witness one of the greatest franchises in NFL history. It might sound premature but this team would've made it to the NFC Championship 2 years ago if they weren't robbed of a playoff spot. They finally know how good they are after last year's NFC Championship game and if they lose more than 3 games I'll be shocked. This is the next NFL dynasty!!!!

Good commentary, but one thing that was missed is the fact that the defensive players the Lions had on the field in the Championship game were nowhere near the talent they have on the roster now. Holmes upgraded the DB and DL to where we are easily a top 5 D ... last year we were bottom 5 through the end of the year and we still almost made the Super Bowl.

Our Offense is going to Gel even better. Ben Johnson will develop more plays for Gibbs and Jamo. Laporta will have another great year. However the defense is going to be Hot 🔥 this year. I can see the Lions will be a difficult team to beat.

Brad is building this team to last. No need to make huge signings "to get over the hump". Build what needs fixed through the draft over several seasons and watch what happens next 4 or 5 seasons. Lions WILL BE AT TOP OF LEAGUE FOR SEVERAL SEASONS.

This game we love has always been about how all our players play together, and that's what our lions are doing, playing together...as a TEAM...everyone is accountable for how they play and when the whole team buys-in...this is what happens, all of our personnel is believing... especially all the FANS...
Talking heads didn’t get it but I have friends all over the country who were all in on the Lions after their 8-2 the previous season.
All of us knew we weren’t 1-6 bad, Just as Minnesota got the good breaks we never got one. All 9 victories I believe came from one score, If you can succeed with the worst defense in the league imagine your potential when you build on that 👀
It seems like the 49ers had a stretch of 5 years where they were suppose to do it, in between they traded a bunch of picks for a qb not on there team anymore, and the Lions since Brad Holmes took over GM didn't make any mistakes and now the Lions roster seems far supererior. We should've beat the 49ers and went to the Superbowl when we were up 3 scores at halftime. We didn't have any corners and now we have 5 good ones. While the 49ers seem to be losing talent and with Aiyuk there best reciever they aren't taking care of. I would say the Eagles made moves to jump ahead of the 49ers to be the best chance to beat the Lions, but they have so many coaching changes, and Kelce being gone it seems like going to be a tough season for the Eagles. Really I just hope Love sucks.
Finally, somebody's saying what I've been saying since the game was over. We weren't ready for the moment. Pressure busted that pipe. We'll be better for it, but you don't go to the Superbowl in 3 years, with a flawed defense. We've improved and you need some luck but I like our changes this year.
Goff is an elite QB. Yeah, I said it lol. ELITE. He's not fancy, but you don't need to be fancy to be elite. Tom Brady already proved that. I've watched his whole career. He IS that caliber QB

I justed gave up on this podcast and respect to MF.
I respect the Lions roster a lot. But Goff is not that dude. He easily has the best OL in football, and now has an elite WR, TE, and run game. I don’t believe he’s a guy who can perform well late in the playoffs. His NFC championship performance and only SB is evidence of this. When he gets pressured, he can’t create like the other final 3 QBs in the playoffs last year in Mahomes, Jackson, and even Purdy who showed he can make things happen. Goff is so overrated to me, but the Lions are underrated, even after missing the SB.
Goff's receivers had the most YAC yards in the league..that means ball placement or accuracy either one you want to call it.
Being an elite Qb has more to it than scramble and extend..it's also ball IQ and reading coverage and identifying the hot route and mismatches.
Goff's passes that were dropped in the NFCCG were PERFECTLY placed and they were flat out dropped. Those plays would've continued those drives and possibly put more points up..if you think Purdy's pass off of a face mask that should've been picked was above and beyond Goff's dropped passes then you should really go back and watch that game because Goff was at the very end of the reasons why that game was lost.
Goff is overrated. The Bears defense made him look like crap last year. The Lions success depends on a great team surrounding Goff. Could the Lions actually take a step back? Like the Eagles did last season?
The eagles took a step back because of injuries, age, and lost their OC and DC.
I know you're not talking about the game at Ford Field. The bears made Goff look like pretty good in that one. 223 yards, 67% completions, 14 passing 1st downs and Detroit only had the ball for 19 minutes. Are you also going to say the bears success doesn't depend on a great team surrounding Williams?
