Monarch: The dynamic, tactile device that will render multiple lines of braille and tactile graphics

In collaboration with the American Printing House (APH), HumanWare developed a multipurpose braille device which can receive digital textbooks from APH and other providers, significantly reducing the time to fingertips for students. The development of a new type of dynamic file type bringing braille and graphics together in a navigable file will bridge the educational gap for students living with a visual impairment. Between now and 2024, we'll be focusing on training teachers in the new concepts introduced by such a device, like zooming in and out of graphics, panning around a tactile image, multi-line electronic braille navigation and so much more.
