Maybe just lighten with a blonde color, maybe a level 9 with a 30 volume developer.

So instead of a “dye” you used a rinse that essentially dyed your hair or was it the overtone? I plan on dying my hair a mauve rose gold and this color is perfect but a friend of mine who dyed it last time said I should mix 20v developer with my dye.
Mandoras Pandora it depends what type of color you’re using. If u only want it temporarily I suggest a rinse. If you want it for a while I suggest a permanent color and that’s when you would use a developer. A rinse is a semi permanent direct dye and it won’t do anything if you add a developer to that. Only to permanent colors
I saw a video by another cute woman of color who tried this brand of rose gold. Her hair was bleached to the correct level, but it came out much lighter and only lasted a day. She had the same curl texture as this woman. I wonder why the results were so different.
