All i want is not to get server disconnected message if im joining a game
And to get rid of the shitty UI. Shits too complicated.
You dont want that, it so frustrating when you think yes finally the Map i want to play then it just say Server Queue full, find another one
And if you find one then its 5/5 queue which can sometimes take 15min

They need to appoint a QA Director/manager. Someone needs to be accountable and hold the development team to account.
Squad 44 not only has like half the developers. But they all have full time normal jobs too. Squad 44 is what they do with their free time

i just dont like squad, i admit it, its too hard, i can barely kill a guy in squad with an ak in close range, but squad 44 with an lee enfiled? nah, game doesnt feel rewarding at all for me
@@lolopard99 never tried squad but I love squad 44, in fact I had a pretty easy transition from hll and squad 44 and tho I do agree it is harder to get kill in squad 44 it is far more rewarding and besides that it’s very fun working with your squad and doing shenanigans unlike in hll where u barely even talk to anyone
@@brickera1591it started as mod for squad instead of being made from scratch, later they worked full time on game. Cureent team is bunch of Modders hired by new publisher to work on game. Its shame they dont pay enough developers for them to be able work full time on game... That also explain why it take so long to fix bugs

The new UI is shite... I don't want to see what uniform to put on. I would like to be able to pick a weapon and class I need quickly with the least amount of clicks, Not have to scroll through a janky menu to get what i need.
Glad I’m not the only one, I thought my game was bugged until I found out it was part of the update.
Ui change was totally unnecessary due to the fact it worked perfect and now its broken and ugly as 💩

Team17 didn't buy HLL to make a good game better. They bought it to make money, and the price they paid was ABSURD. Their #1 priority, as a company, is to now make all those millions back, as soon as possible, so they can actually start generating a profit from HLL. If that day ever comes for them, it won't be because they invested time and money making HLL the best game it can be. It will be by exploiting whatever dwindling fan base is left. Whole thing is sad.

It was a very successful game with a strong, longterm community, but it was never going to grow to a point where the price paid would be worth it.

RIP james light who was an important part of HLL from the start who went from production assistant to producer for pc side,he was known for his in depth knowledge of the game and ability to see any bugs in game and make people aware what needed fixed ,shame we dont have such insight now ! ,he sadly passed aged 28 😢
I've been playing HLL on console from release day and lately its only getting worse and worse. I hate Team 17 for what they are doing to this game. Not sure how many more of these so called updates I can take.
Why even buy game focused on communication and teamwork on console where most people dont have mic...its so bad on pc that im terrifed to imagine console experience

@@funtecstudiovideos4102 The no-mic problem can be bad sometimes; but if you kick the no-mics from your squad and most of the SLs are taking, it is great fun. I hope that most of the no-mic players quit or start using a mic, when they realize they are missing out.

BRO. I came to the comments to see if anyone recognized the music from the GOAT of all WW2 games.
as a day one squad 44 enjoyer and player there is no better time to get into the game. I would play when there was only one server open in the UK and play from the us when the player count was so low. but now there are 10+ servers full at your avg peak times which is awesome to see. if you are thinking about playing I fully encourage it. the game has gone through some solid changes and updates that added new guns, vehicles, factions, etc. the factions are about the same but one thing I like is they are one of the only games to offer the early ww2 French warfare along with the different weapons that Germany used as well. they also offer some Greece island maps with the German paratroopers. and there is conformation of a pacific theatre update with Japanese factions and US marines with iwo jima being the first confirmed map. there is a lot of unique gameplay and stuff to look forward to in the future. but the best part is its being worked on by a passionate modding community that was making amazing, solid content for the game before they were employed by offworld. I feel like squad 44 has a solid future ahead and people should def hop on that band wagon.
Just warning ya all that game with update got some bugs and optimilization is worse then in squad and hll but content and gameplay is 🔥

Personally speaking i tried s44 a few months ago and i got nowhere with it. I have 6 hours in game with half of that being at the range testing stuff. The other 3 hrs is from me playing 2 matches. Match 1 was ok but match 2 is where i met a lovely officer who i told that i was new and needed help with the game. He told me some friendly words that remind me of MW2 lobbies back in the day and booted me out of the squad. I havent been back to the game since

AlpineSnipsr summed it up best in that T17 doesn't really know what they want or at least they don't know how to deal with HLL and thus we are stuck with a game that won't surpass its current state.
I work in QA field, and an update like that would've failed testing before being released to the public honestly.
Nothing is getting QA'd in the slightest. Prod pushes --> prayer seems to be the way development works with this crew.
With the run and gun mentality now thoroughly rewarded it's no longer the game I fell in love with... bye bye HLL, hello Squad 44.

at this point, everyone who had been invested with HLL and is just fed up with how shitty t17 has managed the game should give squad44 a serious consideration.
don't listen to any of those outdated "it's a dead game" comments, that's just not true anymore. it's a darn good game and it is getting better with every passing day with more and more people playing it.
And they're adding the pacific which is a massive bonus to it as well

I have not been playing but this is not the first negative video I have seen. Players are saying they are quitting and I understand why when developers make changes that nobody wants. Unfortunately there is a insane cult destroying Western and European games. It all started picking up steam just before 2019 company's destroying the gaming industry that looks to be part of a bigger plan.

@@NashmanNashsame here no war torn landscape...just seems "emty" and the grafic is just not so optimized it looks like a very old game and engine....and that ruins the immersion for me!! The sound though is better in squad 44

Red Devils DLC is only on Driel not because it is map-specific DLC but because it is only map for British faction... El Alamein has different faction of Brits, furthermore having iconic british paratrooper uniforms on El Alamein would be a f****** disgrace... Whole backlash about this new update is primarily because of Mortain DLC.... The only good way to implement further DLCs is to give us an option to edit how our and enemy factions look PER map, every other thing is just wrong... Stop with white uniforms on summer maps! Stop with non-airborne uniforms on airborne maps and vice versa!!!
Is it just me or is the game bugged since update? i have 30 fps and my shots arent connecting...i see blood when i hit the enemy but i dont deal dmg. my internet and pc are solid and i have these problems since the update. you got it too?
Glad I stuck with Squad44, that's going from strength to strength. HLL is diving harder than a Stuka and it isn't pulling back up.
Dude I'm having a 15-25 second stutter were the game just freezes then back to normal like nothing happened. I know it not my hardware, and it's starting happening after this new patch
I finally got fed up with HLL a few months ago (been on it since early access), the lack of comms, the run and gunner hordes, the CHEATING, the awful updates, the APPALLING MG mounting (are they EVER going to fix that?) - went to Squad 44 and haven't looked back - The playerbase is growing and of a better quality and whilst it's not perfect, it really feels like it's moving forward very positively. It also looks soooo much better after the graphics overhaul. Give Squad 44 a go - I think you'll be impressed. I think it's on sale at the moment too....
Just stop playing. That's it, They won't respect or listen. go to squad 44 and make them care by making competition. HLL has had the WW2 shooter space for too long and they've gotten lazy.

The whole game was developed by 15 people or less. They also produced amazing trailers. This team seems amateur. Their trailers are worse than the games graphics. I have gameplay videos that look amazing.
Every map should use the El Alamein sub faction system and then revolve the dlc around those subfactions.
Plus - it would be utterly stupid to have British paratroopers on El Alamein, I’m sick of every map being a hodgepodge of uniforms

Not sure how many are familiar with the flight sims. But This sounds a lot like eagle dynamics and the handling of DCS not just recently but it’s becoming more apparent as of late.
Nothings changed with HLL in years with how they handle updates. Every one has always had major issues which takes a week to acknowledge then a further month to fix. Very early on the console release there was a bug with spawns locking took almost a month to fix and it basically was game breaking. I stopped playing last year because I could see where it was going and nothing was going to change. Your comparison with Squad44 was perfect, heck even normal Squad with OWI is similar and I fully expect Team17 to say the problem with updates is because of console and getting them approved (which only takes days if that last I heard).
Exactly, if the updates are not being approved for the consoles, they must be doing something very wrong 95 percent of the time.

Two new maps a year simply isn't good enough and their obsession with the US vs GER hasn't helped with keeping the game fresh either.
But that is what the redditors wanted. They don’t want new stuff, they cried and complained about how nothing new for the us v ger wasn’t added in a long time.
Blame for the devs for a thing but focusing on us v ger was solely on the people crying on twitter for more of the same.

Wholeheartedly agree.
I do notice the difference between good game management and poor these days. Your right good management listens to the player base and acts on it. CTA Gates of hell is another example of a well managed game addressing the player issues as well as providing a road map you can see being fulfilled. Whereas the similar niche game company to them doesn't seem to accommodate the dominant player issues much like 17. It is unbelievable to see players voice the potential, hope and dreams of how good a game could be go unanswered.

Thanks for the cojones to express the issues. I couldn't have VOIP and sound 2 nights ago. So I turned off VOIP to be able to hear bullets and sound FX. This is a major bug for a co-op game
So we are not surprised.. I will say I played hill yesterday after months off. The game looks clean AF. On console. But the same old shit.
I think you're actually being generous, but I'm on PS5. I have just made the decision to stop HLL after 1500 hours put into the game. Poor QC, lack of any responsiveness from T17, issues with performance and hit reg getting somehow worse and too much f**king fog/night maps masquerading as 'innovation'.
I can't wait to see how they screw up the console server browser.
And of course the new, unasked for, UI changes are a nightmare on console.
So we don't like the current update ... well I was going to write a long and detailed reply, but honestly they are screwing this up and I'm pretty fed up with it.
The crashing and lagging on console is crazy, I’ll try and throw a frag and I have to do it twice before it actually throws which has gotten me killed before. The crashing literally makes me get off the game I’ll be an hour into the game trying to finish out to level up a role and it’ll freeze out of no where and I lose all my progress.
In short, the load up select screen/menu has to change. With this menu I can't do a quick load up change if the desired spawn point has less than 10sec to spawn in. So then you're ended up with either spawning in with the same load out or wait 20-40sec to spawn in with the new load out. It's like these guys are checking on this game once every blue moon & just comes up with whatever comes up in their mind to quickly push out an "update" just for the sake of having to release an update.
It difficult for the ones who have been along the ride for the past year, I myself discovered this game just few months ago and fell in love with it. But in past few weeks especially with 15.1 UD the crashes render ect an don't get me started on the UI menu 😮 T17 needs to pull it together or relinquish it to a studio who will do it justice
The annoying swiping/clicking sounds whenever you move the cursor in a menu was the last straw for me 😅 That drove me up the wall. I think I'm done wih this game and it feel strangely liberating.
It’s been rough since the start you bring up a lot of valid points and they release a lot of buyable DLC skins still haven’t fixed the random uniform uninstall bug that resets the whole barracks set up the new UI update just makes the process longer …
Newest HLL update got me to buy Squad 44, even though it's quite rough I already like it much more

Console issue for tabks and artillery. Major lag when trying to switch seats on artillery and have to keep smashing the reload shell button bc it won't reload the shell for some reason takes about 2-3 seconds instead where it was instantaneous. Same with reloading tank shells have to keep hitting the button for the shell to finally reload and in tank battles where seconds count its ruining the experience

I play on PS5, and I’ve never once had a single crash in 2 years +, yeah the performance can get bad on the dense urban maps, but I’m really here for the immersive, cinematic experience. It’s not COD, I don’t care about the sweaty fragging. Please just leave it as it was. Add stuff, by all means, but please don’t start messing around with it

I worked for a company that designed and sold machine shop equipment had a $750m annual revenue and only had a hardware R&D team of 50 people. Of those, the number that were assigned to continuous improvement was less than 5. The rest were assigned to new product development. I'm guessing there are more designers assigned to developing the DLC uniforms than map fixes.
I'm guessing the budget for HLL's continuous improvement team is about 6 guys.
This game started looking really up a year ago, at least looked like they were finally taking it into a better direction. Now look at it.

the Xbox version used to be stable-ish, but since T17 took over, it's almost unplayable. tried playing recently with a group of 4, and throughout 2 matches, we had 8 crashes between us. it's absolutely obnoxious.
I think the Problem is the Performance of the Engine and monetization. HLL is the Only Game i ever experienced horrible Anti Aliasing (even the Community one) and i keep still hanging on the little things like wooden sticks i broken Houses.
And that is the Main problem what i have with the Game.
Love the game but for each update it runs a little bit poorer (PS5), it's a shame.

Remember when this game was out shining COD as the next big shooter. T17 let this game fall flat on its face since day 1. Just give back control to Black Matter and hopefully after some serious course correction we can have a good game some day in the future.

So the hopes of constancy for what we want with HLL will never realistically happen.
Love to be in one of the Dev meetings and how they are interacting on concerns by the community... since the buy out there seems to be a different attitude towards quality.

As someone who was at the start for squad 44 and HLL the differnece in the last year has been eye opening.T17 have ruined HLL, its boring with no vision from the team while squad 44 has made real progress since its relaunch.
They’ve removed the uniform dlc from consoles, so even if you’ve bought it, it’s gone.
I love what they are doing with this, it feels really promising and I feel like my money invested into the game is really starting to pay off now. Also would like to add that this company has been through a lot and I have shown my support 100% since day 1,no actually day 0 🤣🤣🍺🍻! Cheers mate! 🐻🍆🤩

I do think HLL are a more difficult job to do. Realistically there are 4 platforms, Xbox S/X; PS5; PC (and there are multiple "versions" of that). Still, if you buy a game for 40 million you ought to get a bigger team, and make it better. 1 year is more than enough time to get control and change things around.
HLL better come out with a new game mode like cspture the flag/ domination.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, but I think they bought this without concern about making their money back because they'll just do a tax write-off for growth/investment.
