I have one and used it in the middle of a plowed soybean field in VA. Even with bare dirt it lets you blend in and I can't think of another blind that will do that. I don't use mine often but when I need to disappear in an area with little cover I take it.
Nice job showcasing this blind, I really like the fact that you show it being used in several different scenarios. It’s amazing how well it Blends in with everything. Great job on the video brother!
Would you recommend your Predator over the Phantom (with extenders) for hunting thick woods, like cedars, where you’re more apt to get a shot under limbs from a low position anyhow? What do you think? Good video. Thanks.
Gun probably, but maybe bow some. I’ve got one of those hammock seats I really like that strap around a tree that I was thinking that the “mid height” Ghost blind might work well with. Maybe the extenders would make it tall enough for a short axle to axle modern compound? I realize the carrying weight will be around the same with the extenders, but the package is still somewhat more compact for toting through the brush into remote areas on public land. I don’t know. Just curious as to your thoughts since you have a Predator. No way would I try to carry that blind on my back through the woods where we hunt. I’d have to carry it in by my side for sure.
I would definitely recommend the phantom with extenders, by the sound of the area you hunt you'll probably be more happy with that. I did add the extenders to my predator so I could sit a little higher to shoot my bow, but With a gun the phantom will be more comfortable especially with a hammock seat.
I used these Rok Hardware Heavy Duty Self-Adhesive Felt Pad Bumpers, 3/8" Diameter, 1/8" Height, Round, Brown, Pack of 168 - ROKFELTP38BRN www.amazon.com/dp/B01CF6A65U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_jGE0Db5ET3BCS I put 4 on the two outside panels.
Thanks for the question. I've had great luck with the ghost blind and a traditional ground blind. I use both every year, each has there own advantages and disadvantages. I tend to use the ghost blind if I need to stay more mobile and there is not a lot of cover. I like to use a traditional ground blind for spots that have more cover and I can leave it out for the deer to get used to. I have hunted out of a traditional blind the same day of putting it out and had deer come by but the ghost blind is way better for those types of hunts, where you need to set up on a deer and hunt the same day. It all comes down to the type of cover your hunting and how mobile you want to be.
They work GREAT for hunting coyotes and are a REAL game changer on them especially if you use the wind to your advantage and a creek or some other large obstacle to keep them from being able to get around behind you without you being able to see or hear them when they try. Best $200 I have spent. Also... It won't be as easy to scratch up the mirrored finish if you use some strategically-placed little dots of Gorilla Glue, the solid Glue Sticks (low temperature melting for use in a trigger style glue gun) on each panel to these panels from touching each other while transporting it. It Works GREAT!!! I also use some longer metal pieces of Rod 2 make my blind stand up about a foot taller because I am a little over 6 feet tall and I just pushed leaves up against it where it needs them at the bottom otherwise if I'm in the grass or brush it doesn't even matter. Find some of those gorilla glue sticks at Walmart or wherever... they're five bucks for 50 of them, the mini glue sticks are also very small too. Just keep a cigarette lighter with you... they are amazing to keep in your pocket for almost anything they stick quickly and VERY securely to literally anything and you can remove them completely, without any residue too... Seriously, if you just take your time and about 5 seconds the glue is gone with your fingernail.
Yes indeed, the blind tilts forward so if you cant have the sun to your back at least it directs the light down. Thanks for stopping by I hope you have a great day 👍
I picked up this one at a local store they have a few different models, this one is the predator. I paid just under 200$ for it. You can find them online also.
It's very cool had two squirrels sit right on next me while hunting deer going try it with a back drop this time behind a oak I've killed couple bucks from
If there's still some corn stalks left in the field yes it would work really good, I would set it up and then put some of the stocks up in front of it and it would blend in very well.
If you play the wind it doesn't really matter as the deer will know your there regardless. You can use a tree, fence line or even a patch of taller grass to hide you from the back. Some guys use more then one blind also to surround yourself.
I was hoping to see a video with deer actually being taking while hunting with this blind, so far all video's I have seen has just been how setting it up and using it which the company has plenty of.
First I must say "cool hat" That Ghost Blind is awesome, I would like to set that up at work, so I can sneak away and watch some TH-cam live streams and videos!
Hey buddy hows things?!?! Stopped by to say hey. Havent talked to you in a while. Pretty interesting blind. That thing is like the predator camo.... hahahaha Pretty cool. Never saw anything like that. Cheers bud!

I love my Ghost blind. When opening it angle it towards the ground to keep the big reflection flash to a minimum.

Thanks, it's a awesome blind.
Great review and real world examples...your vid popped up while I am researching the blinds
Thanks! I tried to show many different sets that I have tried with it.

Are you going to be hunting with a bow or gun primarily?

They work really great Xcept when there is a lot of sunlight ...then they start flashing light beams!!
Yes, you have to be mindful of the sun and set up with the sun to your back. 👍
That is pretty cool. I thought it would reflect light as shiny as it is, but it really looks like it blends well.
It's a awesome blind, works very well.
looks very slick and cool.
It works great! I'm very happy with it. Have a fantastic new years buddy.
Checking to make sure I still got you . Cool ghost blind
What kind of doorstops did you use? I’m thinking about getting stick on rubber feet. Also, how many doorstops did you put on each panel?

Thanks for your quick response. I’m getting the bumpers now!
That blind blends in so well, looked a nice area too 👍

It works pretty well 👍
Very cool! I always wanted to try it out
They work very good! Thanks for stopping by.
I absolutely love my ghost blind. Deer get really close. Just make sure to play the wind.
Yes indeed the wind should always be considered, thanks for watching 👍
If you liked this video hit that like button and consider subscribing, thanks for watching.
They don't see your head - un-camouflaged - popping up over the blind? You prefer this over a ground blind, which costs much less?

Very nice thanks for sharing
Thanks 👍
are you still using it to hunt? Thanks!
Yes, its definitely something I use when I have a need.

They will work!

I'm 100% in for a ghost blind.
They are sweet.
Nice video, that blind looks cool!
Thanks, it really is a great blind.
Great job buddy thanks for sharing
Thanks, much appreciated 👍
You think it would work in a cut corn field?
If there's still some corn stalks left in the field yes it would work really good, I would set it up and then put some of the stocks up in front of it and it would blend in very well.
Nice review. Happy Thanksgiving to you and all who visit your channel.

It's a awesome blind👍
It's one of the few ways to hunt from the ground and consistently get a shot of without being spotted
For sure
This is really cool blind👍👏👏❣
Hi Joy! i hope you are having a great day!
Does it reflect the sun in
It tilts downwards but you do have to be mindful when opening it up not to send beams of light through the woods.
