Major shoutout to Launders. Obviously new to the game of geoguessr, but did a great job of being fun and funny while taking the event seriously and bringing out the best in Rainbolt.
@@dariocaporuscio8701 personally i liked the ten round limit. it makes the multipliers less decisive. its not as easy for someone to lose every round and then get lucky on a 2000x round and just win this way lol. there's also still a pretty big incentive to win your rounds and stay ahead in points. i think if you're going to have multipliers, there needs to be a round limit.

Congrats to the winner and everyone who played but most of all to RAINBOLT!!! This is all thanks to him- he took geoguesser from a small community and is really putting it on the map. The marketing prowess he has is really incredible, the way he’s pushing this community and advocating for the members. It truly is almost emotional for me to see this all unfold.

Best 12-ish hours I've spent, from the last two days of Geoguessr World Cup... Commentary is great and fun at the same time, production quality is surprisingly astounding, audiences are also very passionate, and of course, the players themselves - so many amazing guesses and funny moments... the drama, the stories, I truly hope Geoguessr Esports have a bright future after this brilliant world cup
50:58 I have a really specific meta for this round. If you are in Germany and the paving stones in the driveways are mostly hexagonal or if you see a lot of hexagonal paving stones in general, you will most likely be in Hamburg. AFAIK they passed a law in Hamburg that restricts the usage of non-hexagonal paving stones due to their inefficiency.
@@RetsamXDid some more research and found this: epub.sub.uni-hamburg.de/epub/volltexte/2014/27568/pdf/er2.pdf There on page 25 & 26 Regarding "Überfahrten" It specifically mandates "Wabensteine" meaning honeycomb shaped stones. Not sure what the situation in other cities is yet, but Hamburg should have alot more of those hexagonal stones due to this.
Great tournament! Very wise choice to get Launders and Pala on board for this aswell, they definitely raised the quality of the show! Huge success for the first World cup, I'm sure there is potential for the future.
This was incredible. Also just insane to watch Blinky hit those 5k’s so quick. We know he can do it, but there’s something about watching it in person.
massive congrats to Consus, the final game's ending was truly a nail biter. this has been such a well produced and entertaining event, especially since this is Geoguessr's first ever world cup. cant wait for next year's world cup to be even bigger and better!
Rainbolt is an amazing caster. The final game was so epic. When it was round 8 and 4.5x dmg in brazil you just know it is over, but man they just go the exact same place and go to round 9 and then round 10...
What a lengthy stream if you count both the days but it was worth every minute. Consus vs Fungus was such a mad game. Fungus did really well to come back after losing the first two rounds. Winning that game must have given Consus a lot of confidence. Radu showed that Blinky is not invincible and can be defeated. He put Blinky under a lot of pressure there. It took both, Radu and Consus to take down Blinky. In the end, ain't nothing like the less hyped player winning the tournament. Congrats to Consus! 🙂👍
@@ZhangK71 It was not meant literally. Rather that after versing Radu, Blinky started to build a lot of preassure going into the finals. Despite him winning the first round, Consus came back and won the three rounds. Blinky even mentioned during the interview that he had trouble keeping his nerves intact. All in all, they both played amazingly. I don't think any of them even lost a single tournament game (not including round loses).
