Backpacking DENALI with PEAK FOLIAGE | Unit 1 TRIPLE LAKES TRAIL | Virtual Hiking | ALASKA

This was an incredible two day backpacking trip in Denali National Park, along the Triple Lakes Trail. I wasn't expecting this trail to be as scenic as it was, but the autumn fall colors were absolutely insane. Backpacking Denali was a dream come true, and I can't recommend it enough. So I only use the GoPro Hero 8. Obviously the audio is terrible but super clear images in daylight

@@mikewandersok. I’ve read that Fall starts a bit early up there. I’ve been looking to visit after Labor when the road opens to personal vehicles and the crowds thin, fewer bears perhaps…And the campground is free. But I suppose mid to late September runs higher risk of snow and less Autumn colors etc. Thanks for the response and the video of the area. Lovely!

Did you need a back country permit to camp by lake 2

Yes you need a permit to backpack in any one of the units in Denali’s backcountry. Lake 2 is located within Unit 1.
